My heart breaks for Joanne Madjelics, she knew what was going on and despite repeated reports, nothing happened. The very least she deserves is an apology! I dread to think what she goes through every day, not that she should feel guilty at all, but it’s very easy to blame yourself. She did everything right and there’s absolutely no blame at her door. I just hope she is getting the help she needs to process the trauma.

@@scoooter78 It's weird. When you call Crimestoppers you get put through to the region the "crime" took place in. So I was automatically put in touch with a guy in Cardiff. He was nice, we chatted, he even googled Ian because I mentioned he was in a band and he was like HOLY CRAP I LISTENED TO THAT LAST TRAIN HOME SONG BACK IN THE DAY. He seemed attentive and he took all the details down, I offered to provide screenshots and photos etc... but never heard back. What I reported had to do with 14-15 yo girls, drugs and the sexual assault of my friend who asked me to report for her as she was frightened. If I had known about the babies stuff I would never have let it go and i'd have called more to report it over and over. That's my only regret. I'm forever glad I reported what I knew so I didn't feel the guilt of that when it all came out.

The father of one of victims went to police and said his child was being abused and he was ignored. Whilst abusers prevail in all areas of public service change won't happen. I think such people should be given a slow painful death, anything else is too easy. He's still grooming underage girls and vulnerable single mothers whilst in prison and yes he has had a phone for years. I reported the phone to the prison and it wasn't taken seriously, after he got in touch with me. An underage girl was being groomed by IW and when I told local police I was threatened if I didn't leave girl alone (I'd only advised her to speak to an adult she trusted, I did nothing harmful or inappropriate) think she was scared of consequences cos he said she'd get into a lot of trouble if she told anyone. He has no remorse and a child was taken from her mum after she was groomed by him a couple of years ago. Why aren't authorities prohibiting him from writing to vulnerable single mums? We outnumber those running country so why aren't more of us demanding change for a safer future for all of us?

Whilst the police were absolutely incompetent when she reported his disgusting behaviour, what I do question is why she kept dating him?
If someone told or showed me any of that disgusting stuff Watkins showed Joanne, my reaction would be SO full of outrage, there is no way that person would feel comfortable enough to show me anything again.
However, after the first report, she bumped into him again at an event and went back to a hotel room. This is where he showed her yet more disturbing images.
What type of conversation were they having which made him comfortable enough to share more info? Something is not right here. It almost seems like she only reported things when they broke up or were no longer on good terms. I therefore question whether she was complicit .
