It's not too often that I listen to a band that I've never listened to before,.. one song after another... and jam like I did with this band.. I was officially blown away.
Circle has been my all-time favorite song since college, when it first came out, 30 years ago. This is my favorite performance of the song. So THIS video shows the best that music gets in my opinion. They are the most under-rated bands. I really hope rest of the world catches on, because they are missing out on some awesome music, and a best blues experience out there.
This is one of the best concert DVD's i've ever seen. I think every song on the 2008 Red Rocks DVD is the best version of those songs. As a band, I love BHTM, but Todd Park Mohr is one of the most underated guitarists in history. The man is simply an amazing musician.
I am from the part of the country where these guys started out... Boulder... Is where I met them although they were Denver guys.... Colorado.... Is where we met... Like 35 years ago or something.... They were playing college parties and small venues in Boulder but used to be lots of cool little clubs... I followed them and I hung out with them and we drank and stuff and party together for real... They were all the nicest guys but Todd Mohr.... Was the coolest guy to talk to and had so much to say.... Anything he said was meaningful is all I can tell you all....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I've been to roughly 500 concerts from Floyd to Depeche mode.. BHTM are as good live as anyone. This is a concert I never miss when they come thru.. if you haven't seen them live. You owe it to yourself .
300 plus for me, Montreal to St. Pete, Red Rocks to Seattle. 50,000 to 150 in a Boston nightclub watching Aerosmith.. This band is as good live as any I have had the pleasure of seeing
@@allanmott7887 I couldn't agree with you more..the 1st time I saw them was at the Horde Festival in Portland Or..in 92. It was Neil Young and Pearl Jam Widespread Panic Spin Doctors Blues Travelers BHT.. and others...it was an all day thing. And we were all on shrooms..I'm on this blanket staring at the sky when this band starts and they were amazing. I was an instant fan. And now that I'm older and have to pick and choose my concerts due to grown up responsibility's. Theres 1 that I will make sure I don't miss. Live BHT. Is as good of a show as you can get.. for me even compared to large Arena shows. they can compete..I see they're about to start touring the states soon..and so far they aren't coming this way..And I'm not pissed yet because I assume they'll add dates..But it's not comforting to not see my area on the tour list..before Covid..it was every year in January they'd be coming thru..
went to high school with these dudes, the drummer was one badd ass catcher. Ill never forget the coach making fun of his decision to quit for music, rock on Brian , miss u bro
I'm so excited cuz my guy and I have our tickets for our first ever BHT concert ☺️. He's coming to NY in January 2023 at a beautiful small venue . They now choose their own venues. We love all their songs.
I’m envious that you have been listening to this band at least 11 years longer than me, there should be a made for TV special on how under rated these guys are
First saw these guys as a warm up band for the blues traveler and allman broa at stowe mountain in Vermont. Was blown away . 92 '? Around that time between 92-94
So many things you can do with this song with just earplugs in......snow board, ski down, boat , work, yardwork, tub soak with a beverage, chill alone on a beach somewhere, driving somewhere you don't care yet, working late trying to survive.....with someone or by yourself....this one and his playlist somehow always find perspective again.
Circle has been my all-time favorite song for a long time. Totally underrated band. there are no gaps in this song. the slide sneaking in is incredible . and the drummer is a beast.
I grew up in the 60's and 70's and love music from that era. But some great bands popped up in the 90's, and Big Head Todd is one of them. Love the guitar shreding Todd does in this. :-)
Todd is a really great guy. I've already fabbled here about how I used to party with them In Boulder Colorado 30 years ago.... They made it big I'm really happy for them!
Jeremy's lap steel tone is absolutely incredible. Takes me back to the first time I ever heard Ben Harper live in the 90's. Been in love with a gritty steel slide guitar ever since.
I seen these guys in Durango CO. Some 35 years ago at the ski resort purgatory been hooked since then and never been disappointed by their performance!
Lord have Mercy. Greatest rendition EVER! Great job. I remember seeing them 20 years ago, never had heard of them they opened for someone I went to see, and they were better than the main show. I think Blind Melon opened as well.
I have been reading the comments. All I have to say is that there are certain special artists that somehow have missed the ears of the masses. The fact that you have come across it, means that you have been specially selected to receive the gift. Robin Trower is another special artist like these guys are.
Great song, great album, great venue. I’ve been listening to them since Sister Sweetly came out, and have seen them live at least a dozen times. My dream of seeing them at Red Rocks on June 13, 2020 was crushed by the pandemic, but I’m praying that the rescheduled show on June 12, 2021 will happen for us!! BHTM are just amazingly creative, talented, and underrated (our little secret).
There is no place in the world like Red Rocks. They were born and raised about 30 minutes from the venue. So they are playing in their back yard. Hope you got to see them there.
What an incredible band I was lucky enough to see them at the mighty Toad's Place in New Haven Ct and have never stopped listening to these geniuses! They need to come back and pay us a visit real soon. Amazing how there are no thumbs down on any of their clips. Amazing musicians
We should be able to bitch slap the haters that voted thumbs down. But since we can't You Tube should fix their algorithm so it doesn't let the bozos that are on here watching Oprah episodes land on a BHTM page.
Judge me I don't give a rats ass. I watch Oprah but I'm a Big Head Todd lover since the day we went to Blues on the Rocks back in the 90's and they opened the show. I was effing impressed. There is nothing greater than seeing someone who loves their gift and shares that shit with the world. Saw them in Billings, MT just the other night and I love them as much as I did hearing them the first time. And the frontman is nice to look at. He oozes his musical passion.
Hi my name is JB I love in Wellington New Zealand having just started listening to this band a couple of months ago and now I just play it just about 24 seven I always find a new song these guys are awesome
I'm a long time music fan....child of the 60s coming of age in the 70s........I always felt like I had a pretty good read on what bands were out there...even the ones that weren't really up my alley.....but somehow I missed this band and just discovered them this past weekend? How crazy is that?
My daughter bought her and I tickets to their show at Iron City in Birmingham Alabama next year. Ive loved them since the eighties, she has no idea who they are. Shes gonna love it.!!!!
The voice ❤,the ability to make that guitar screen so friggin talented¡!!!!! So dam grateful to almost be 60, and can say rockin out to them for decades❤❤❤❤❤
sooo glad i ran onto this!!! such a great band, great attitude !! hey man, they are a rock and roll band, that's what they do and they do it great! really dig you guys !!
I love this band...everyone one of them is talented...keyboardest and bass guys dont get their dues...but they...well...they just rock Enjoy em folks...not many like that out there anymore...

so good. just ridiculously good. back in '95 I went with my singer - I'm a drummer, from vail, where we were living down to Denver to buy a 16 channel powered mixing board cuz we were gonna be huge - we were in the store, and being from Philadelphia, I had no clue who these guys were. there was only one other customer in the store and the guy that sold us the board pointed to some dude in another part of the store and whispered at me, 'do you know who that is?' I was all - um, 'no'. he said, 'that's big head Todd'. I thought he was messing with me lol. I was all, 'big what???' haha!! never heard of that before lol. turns out these dudes are 3 exceptional musicians - nothing but respect for this band. just solid solid solid - miss those days and what Colorado used to be - peace boulder
Our thoughts and prayers for the lost souls today in Boulder, which BHTM played so many times.. They are from Columbine High School. imagine how hard this hits.. Peace.. And love..
It's not too often that I listen to a band that I've never listened to before,.. one song after another... and jam like I did with this band.. I was officially blown away.
Damn Skippy!
Underated....one of the best💖
Doing a jam appreciation evening now!
I’m doing that right now!!
I found their version of Brandy and Rosalita!! They kick ass on both!!
Very cool! It's all new to you
This band is criminally underrated!!!
Absolutely, but you can catch them live all over. Only go to the shows they headline, or are the only. Amazing live.
I just remembered this song today and I will probably listen to it ten times They were underrated for sure
This is one of the greatest songs in the history of rock music...it's just perfect.
these guys cover it all,,i’m 62..never heard anything like this..i’m hooked
Me too, I'm 63, loving these guys and Hazel ❤❤❤
62 last month and only heard them yesterday! Nonstop playing this concert since☮️
That dude's guitar tone is freaking HUGE!

Found them and glad
Eric Clapton slow hand. He’s has some serious shit out also. His early stuff with Duane Allomd. Take a look.
Agree with everything you said. 👍❤
Seems to me you and me are ....
Still good ..
How have I survived so many years without knowing these guys existed, so much crap has been played by the radio stations, WOW !!!!!

Agreed ! Saw them in 97, one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen live, in person !
This guy shreds, could be the most overlooked great band
What a GREAT BAND ! . 🎉
went to high school with these dudes, the drummer was one badd ass catcher. Ill never forget the coach making fun of his decision to quit for music, rock on Brian , miss u bro
4:30....not on this play!😂😂
AQUARIQ
He looks like a catcher....yep
Seems as though that coach had to eat his words. LOL 😂
Can't be underrated by those who don't know how to rate anything. I love this band. This is my morning song to get me going!
The drummer tossing his stick! Loved it!
Too bad he misses...pulls one out...😮
They ARE the best and most underrated band alive!
Until now!! Bring them life!!!
I'm so excited cuz my guy and I have our tickets for our first ever BHT concert ☺️.
He's coming to NY in January 2023 at a beautiful small venue . They now choose their own venues. We love all their songs.
That's a fer sure fact!

I was at this show. Great DVD of it but hard to find now.@big-un9425

Maybe the most underrated group in rock. Awesome.

Loving it in 2024, yea baby
I grew up in the 60's and 70's and love music from that era. But some great bands popped up in the 90's, and Big Head Todd is one of them. Love the guitar shreding Todd does in this. :-)
I can see everyone else agrees... These guys are really something. Todd Mohr's words are thoughtful and wise. Plus they kick ass!!!
Their coming to the Phoenix area soon! And I can't wait I haven't been to a good concert in years!👍✌️👊
True musicians with absolutely incredible sound! Could listen to them for hours.
Amazing performance, wished I was there. Big thanks for a great tune.
Still one of my favorite songs that give me a flashback from the last 30 years
All I can say about these guys? .... Is,WOW, just wow!! 💜
Todd is a really great guy. I've already fabbled here about how I used to party with them In Boulder Colorado 30 years ago.... They made it big I'm really happy for them!
I have loved these guys for the better part of 25 years. Great sound.
Real music not synthetic and so effortless. I get it.
Jeremy's lap steel tone is absolutely incredible. Takes me back to the first time I ever heard Ben Harper live in the 90's. Been in love with a gritty steel slide guitar ever since.
I'm so thankful I discovered these guys!!
+Todd Victorson I guess you haven't been in Colorado very much.
Todd Victorson. You don't discover Big Head Todd and the Monsters.
Big Head Todd and the Monsters discover YOU!
And now you can thank them.
I think Blind Melon opened as well.
as a guitar player, I freaking LOVE this guys style

Great band and incredibly down to earth nice guys. This song NEVER disappoints live. Sublime.

Oh my fricking God, why am I just hearing about this band? Thank you Joe Bonamassa for turning me on to the Big head Todd And The Monsters!
Legend has it that the stick never came down..

Rocks …Rocks!
the drummer is a beast
he is that and one cool guy as well.
Kevin Burgess he’s actually a MONSTER lol

live, they leave like, I might have seen God, or angels on stage. No better, no way

What kind of people go find videos anyway and give a fucking thumbs down? They must be reflecting upon their own lives.
I don't know how I just recently heard of You but I'm hooked .Great job by all of You .
This is quinessential big head todd..if you grew up in the halycon days of alt rock in colorado in the 90's then this was the band you saw play live
😎

I feel like I've died and gone to heaven! SUCH TALENT!!! Getting the concert DVD! So refreshing after the bout I've had with hip hop.

They are scheduled to play at the caverns in Tennessee also. I plan on going what a fantastic band!
Don't ever let this concert be taken down from UA-cam!! Talent is easily lost to the public, otherwise. Each of the four bring so much to the whole!

Awesome! I have not heard this song in a while.
The greatest performers especially guitar players are the most humble bag of good guys you ever wanted to know... I know this guy and I knew Jimi Hendricks... They would have been such tight friend z

An incredibly gifted artist. I laugh when I hear him say he never thought he would be a musician. What a treasure these guys are.
What a great group!!!
Bittersweet, caught me off guard forgot how much I enjoyed these guy's. Glad to have found them again.
