Even the the single family houses in those areas are in Bad Shape. In an apartment building, there's no Pride of Ownership. They either need to knock them down, (before they burn) or, at LEAST retrofit them with sprinkler systems. Serious fires are Uncommon in buildings with sprinklers on All floors, and the only fatal incidents (other than deep frying turkeys) would be natural gas explosions, which is something Else Entirely.
@@larryhall7998 Because it started going way downhill starting in 1955 when Packard closed. Leaving that gargantuan space there to ruin everything else around it to this day. Once you let stuff like that sit vacant, you may as well torch it. It'll destroy the value of everything within miles. Property taxes is where the money for stuff like that comes from.
That is foul. I know you think you are "joking", but a person's death ANY PERSON'S death is not something to joke about. It is a sad commentary on the state of the world when someone thinks that is funny.
I drive a truck at nite coming from Indiana every to detroit and i would pass this place while going down davison. I remember there would always be this one u lit up unit very bright facing davison late at nite while all the others were dark , idk why but I pictured a fortune teller lady that did hair living there. Maybe is was the all the lamps and window drapery. The place gave off a old dreary low income poverty vibe something straight out a hood movie or tv series..
This is why I can't live in an apartment, and the shelters in and around Detroit don't want to let ppl in or "don't have space" it's sad.
I feel for all the resident’s now homeless. Look’s like a total loss for them. Prayers
Who knows what or who they will find after its extinguished. ☝️❤️
I love the old architecture but it is clearly a serious fire hazard. I hope everyone is ok. I would like to know if a cause was ever determined.
It's Detroit, what do you expect. Every other house is burnt out
Wow they found a fire hydrant that work. Thanks Gary Brown.
Be lucky it wasn't stolen and melted down for scrap.
WoW

Doesn't anyone using any sense deep fry turkeys OUTSIDE in the yard, where it's way more stupid-proof?
Honestly. The Davison freeway should have been built out to connect to I-96. That corridor is a wreck.
always felt that when I worked in Detroit for years, I never understood why the two were never connected?
