    The paint on the new models look a lot better than the bright colour schemes of previous models. Having an external bottom bracket instead of powerspline is a massive upgrade and a lot easier to get replacements, not to mention lighter too.

    Bought a Bizango in 2019. First mountain bike I ever had. Lovely to ride. I was going to buy the electric version recently but due to the 'range' opted for a Cube. Would have preferred a Bizango though. I would recommend the Bizango to anyone wanting a decent MTB at an entry level price.

      Voodoo 29ers eat the distance, really great choices, and I'd recommend trying those before most people invest in an e-mtb.
      I built one from an old 2012 Bizango frame using modern FSA hollowtech style crank, Magura brakes, Rock Shox Julie Silver forks, hand built myself wheels using Mavic Rims and Shimano hubs, Maxxis tyres, Shimano Zed 10 speed shifter, and knocked my usual lap time of a long run I do regularly from 1 hour 50 down to 1 hour 20, compared with similar smaller wheeled bikes I own.

      @The Game Breaker well, I'm a complete amateur mate, but I've personally really enjoyed it as a bike. It's been perfect for all the entry level stuff I'm doing and probably the only addition I would make if I had the money right now would be a dropper post for ease when going around routes/trails. Otherwise it's handled great.

    Im in the Forest of Dean and just down the road from the cycle centre where you rode Verderers. I have 2 bizango's, the 2017 (yellow with twin chain ring 2 x 10) and the 2019 (orange 1 x 11). Both are really good bikes and the move to a single chain ring from 2019 was great. I personally could do with 10-51 cassette so will be looking to move one bike on and buy the Bizango Pro if I can actually get hold of one when released. What has been interesting is that despite constantly winning the sub £1k hard tail of the year every time a Bizango is released, they have also be listening to requests for wider cassette range and slightly wider handle bar and other small tweaks so both 2021 Bizango's should be great bikes

    Can you use this type of bike for everyday stuff like cycling to work an back? I only say that is the staff at Halfords said it has low gears and meant only for off road etc, I mean I thought you could use any mountain bike on the roads etc. Thank you for anyone that helps me with this query as I don't want to waste money etc and I don't like Hybrid bikes as I've ridden MTB for years.

    • @offroadcc
      @offroadcc  11 місяців тому +1

      There's absolutely nothing stopping you from commuting on this bike. You'll just find that you get to the harder gears sooner and won't be able to go as quickly. It depends mostly on how you blend your rides as this won't be near as capable as a full on road bike on the roads but then a road bike wouldn't work well off-road.

      @@offroadcc thx for your reply, ive only ridden Carrera Vengence for the past 6yrs, i don't go that much on roads or distance like you would with hybrid/road bikes, but say i was just going into town etc do you still get some sort of speed with the harder gears? as the vengence has 2 drive chain set-up and i was always using N02 (which is the bigger Crank of the 2) as if i used N01 the smaller Crank it wasnt as fast etc i sure you understand what i mean as your very expert on this, so would the voodoo in its hardest gear feel like my vengence on main gear N01?

    Hubs and cassette are fragile, cooked the front brake after light use for a few months then one day at Tarlands. 180 front rotor max means a bracket for a 203. The Ardents are suited to smooth trails, but you’ll need a thicker ply for proper jank. Geared for trail speed so could use a 32t for the ride to work, it’s a decent buy at £650 but you will spend more upgrading the hubs, drivetrain, brakes, contact points and tyres to unlock its full potential. Then decide if you need a dropper post…

      getting back🤣
      it's a very impressive bike and agree that 1.5 on the wheels doesn't sound a lot but the height of this bike is impressive..very well made and love the 11 gear ratio...
      according to the salesman they are a standard 29 wheel (ye ok standard🤣)
      you should be ok on it if you are use to the 27.5 and the frame to seat distance looks good so that comes into play...

      Hi Warren, thanks for watching. Having now ridden both bikes I reckon that to Pro is well worth the upgrade. It's noticeably stiffer thanks to a thru axle at the rear and the RockShox 35 Gold fork. The tyres are a significant upgrade too. However, that's not to say that the regular Bizango isn't a great bike. Either way, you won't be disappointed.

We're not totally sure why they're not on sale just yet but it could be because Halfords is looking to get an idea of numbers before release in order to avoid disappointment, or it could just be to do with the big stock issue that many brands are facing these days.

    Hello, I got the Bizango Pro and like to ride a little bit more agressive trails, what do you think f getting a 150 mm instead of a 130 mm fork to slacken the head angle and give it just bit more travel? Would that destroy the bike's geometry?

    • @offroadcc
      @offroadcc  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, I believe 130mm is the sweet spot on a hardtail as the bike's geometry (which is rather good on the Bizango) is preserved fairly well as the fork moves through its travel. To put it quickly, as the fork squishes, the bike's angles will effectively steepen. Add more travel to the mix and that only adds to this effect and when going down something steep, it can feel as if you're being sent over the bars.
      As a general rule of thumb, an additional 20mm of travel will slacken the head and seat angle by 1°, you'll also see a bit of a lift in the BB height and the reach will shrink a touch. This works on some bikes but on others it doesn't work as well. Something that's well worth considering is an angle adjusting headset.

    • @withoutl7980
      @withoutl7980 2 роки тому

      @@offroadcc Thank you so much for your thourough answer. I know 130 is very nice but as I tend to ride some really rough stuff I think I will get it to 140mm. Given up on 150mm because i dont want that BB to raise to much and raising 10 milimeters I dont think it will ruin the geometry significantly, but will give me that 0.5 degree of head angle and 10 more milimeters of travel that I welcome. Anyways thank you very much for your answer :)

      Hi, we can't comment too much on the Braag as we don't have one in for testing but it uses a very similar (if not, the same) frame as the Bizango and so far, we're enjoying it.

      Hi, we won't be doing a review of the Pro at the moment but having spent a weekend with Voodoo with some time aboard the Bizango Pro, I've found it to feel much stiffer thanks to its thru axle at the rear and it's fork is a clear upgrade.

    🤔got me eye on the standard bazango, but i cant find anywhere online that tells me the type of freehub body it takes, 141QR rear end is a little off putting, if it had boost, i would definitely go for it, and the stock voodoo wheels would mostly likely need upgrading in a very short period too, i will probably wait to see what vitus does with the 2023 sentier👍

    • @offroadcc
      @offroadcc  Рік тому +1

      If that QR is off putting, take a look at the Bizango pro which gets thru axle and is noticeably stiffer. The fork gets fatter stanchions and it gets some pretty nice tyres too. We're also very curious to see what happens with the 2023 Sentier.

    Whats rear hub spacing on new model I have old one and it's a absolute nightmare to get a new wheel or even a upgrade and no halfords don't stock spares which if I knew at the time I would have went with something a bit more future proof

    • @offroadcc
      @offroadcc  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, the 2022 Bizango has a 141mm Boost spaced rear end. At the moment you shouldn't have any trouble getting replacement kit.

    • @kevinshort3943
      @kevinshort3943 2 роки тому +1

      If you buy something like a Hope or Nukeproof wheel, they have replaceable end caps.
      IE: you can swap from 12mm though axel boost, to 141 qr boost.

    • @offroadcc

      Yep, there's a little bit more. The Pro runs Shimano MT400 brakes, a 12-speed drivetrain, a RockShox 35 Gold fork with fatter stanchions and there's a thru-axle at the rear. The wheels on the Pro are tubeless ready too.

      Hi, you can put a larger chainring on the bike but there will be a limit as to how big you can go. Unfortunately, we're not sure of what that limit is just yet. As stock, the Bizango comes with a 30t ring, and by the looks of it, it'll be happy with a 34t.

    • @offroadcc
      @offroadcc  2 роки тому +1

      The Pro is definitely a clear upgrade if you're looking to ride a little harder. The fork's stanchions are a wider diameter and the rear end uses a thru-axle, both boosting stiffness. Then the tyres are noticeable more supple. If you have the extra cash, the Pro is a worthwhile investment. Still, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the standard model.

    After reading many reviews on different mountain bikes ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L you cannot beat this bike for the money! The bike is absolutely amazing. I received the bike in four days, the packaging was great, and my bike arrived safe and sound with no scratches. I agree with the other reviews, the seat needs to be replaced for something a little softer. I've ridden the bike on the trails for about three weeks,and it performs wonderful. The bike assembled very easy and without much tuning. There's a video on You Tube that is very helpful with the assembly and tuning of the bike. If your still undecided about which bike to buy, you won't be disappointed with this bike. I've ridden my buddy's $1000 dollar mountain bike, other than it being a little lighter, there's no obvious difference. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this bike for anyone looking to buy a mountain bike.

    Is bizango better than Boardman MHT 8.6 ?

    • @offroadcc
      @offroadcc  2 роки тому +2

      Hi. There's not much between the two bikes in terms of componentry apart from tyres and the extra gears on the Voodoo. Where you will see differences is in the geometry. The Voodoo is very much longer, slacker and lower which you'll likely find translates into a bike that performs better when descending. If it were my money, I would go for the Voodoo.
