Perhaps the best arrangement I have heard of this classic song; Marty Robbins's voice is serviceable in this number and the timbre of his voice is pleasing. The sentiment and interpretation of the song is just right. It is low-key and not over-the-top. I like the understated quality of this version because one is sometimes tempted to do too much with this great song. Love is Blue, indeed.

I have a jewelry box that I’ve had for over 20 years that plays this song. I never knew the tune until a couple of years ago. I then realized it was very depressing lol
I heard this song on the radio when i was a child of 4 or 5 yrs old and i have loved it since.I always thought it was so soothing also the instrumental version.
I had never heard of any version (or at least it never registered) until the instrumental version (guessing it's Paul Murat) came on the radio the other day. The DJ said there were three versions in the charts in 1968! Based on that I was compelled to search the internets.
