Unfortunate that this otherwise reasonable documentary should suffer some factual errors. Ones that I noticed immediately:
    1. Radio Caroline started broadcasting at noon on Easter Saturday 28.3.1964 - not Easter Sunday. (This is a common mistake; Johnnie Walker even got it wrong in his broadcast at just after midnight on 15.8.1967!)
    2. Radio London started broadcasting on 20.12.1964, not in November 1964.
    3. Ronan O'Rahilly did in fact have some backers for his company. He did not magic the money up out of nowhere!
    4. 'Days of Pearly Spencer' by David McWilliams does not come to mind in connection with offshore radio "for some reason"! It comes to mind because after 15.8.1967, Radio Caroline adopted paid record plugging to keep financially afloat, and that track (and others) on the Major Minor record label were heavily promoted on air.
Incidentally, Major Minor was controlled by Philip Solomon, who was also a co-director of Radio Caroline. It is alleged that this arrangement diverted money away from keeping the station on the air and hence why it was boarded and closed down on 3.3.1968 by the tender company in a dispute over allegedly unpaid bills.
In a private conversation in 2007, with someone who had been heavily involved at the time (1967 - 1968) I was told "Quite honestly, the money was there, it was just diverted to Solomon."
