read berserk, it's a masterpiece, would love to see you talk about if you read it for the first time
Pulp and peacemaker would be up your alley. Neither have any nudity that I remember but are pretty violent so be prepared for that.
The other titles I’d stay clear from because those do have HEAVY violence and nudity and might not be your cup of tea my friend.

Great vid! Yes! Glad you put Peacemaker in your list. I LOVED THAT BOOK! "Bruce Wayne has been kidnapped!" Lol. Very underrated and I wish this book had more of a spotlight on it.

Very rare today that online recommendations are genuine, with so many bad faith actors recommending books that align with their agenda’s - but this is 5 top quality books 👍👍

It was as amazing and impactful as everyone said it would be. Truly an incredible piece of art and story but MAN was it a heavy heavy read haha I was warned going into it tho.

Nice list man. I’m happy there are very little superhero books on here. I’ve read some of these. Pulp is probably my favorite Brubaker book. Monster felt way too bloated with filler, the art is incredible though, I’m on vol 4 of berserk and loving it.

Yeah when I’m looking for a quick read OR something new and fresh I go the indie route.
Monster is great and its art is super impressive. I think I read he drew it all with a ball point pen? Could be wrong.
But Try and give it another chance if you can. A lot of it feels like filler but everything connects I swear haha it is an extremely slow burn so I see your view 100% and it may not be for you but it’s worth having if you ever do crave a thought out slow burning story that builds into something bigger.

@@Illuminerdy_ I can def see that with monster. I like 95% stopped reading superhero books. Except some Batman. There is just too much good indie stuff which imo is way more satisfying to read

I recently read "Monsters" by Barry Windsor-Smith too. I had to pause a few times because of the disturbing and sad stories, but it's one of my best reads this year. Great choice for a top read! I'm also eagerly waiting for your latest videos. I'd love to hear your thoughts on "Wasted Space" and "Moonshine“ next, pls. Thank you 😊
Monsters was an intense read for sure. Emotionally brutal.

I did the exact same thing when reading monsters. It took me over a month to read because I kept pausing to read something more light lol

@@Illuminerdy_ Hi. They are paperback graphic novels. But gorgeous paperbacks. It’s not an ongoing series so there are just the two. You will be amazed by the art. Gorgeous. Done with Bic colored pens. It can be a heavy read at times but it’s also hopeful and beautiful
