Looked like there was some interesting cars, trucks, bikes and BUMS there. Anyone that has anything bad to say about Allen's cameraman skills is wrong. It all has to do with the subject matter he is filming.
I thought Tatro would wear his favorite RED helmet from the '90's? At least he had the good taste to wear the lucky and vintage brown shop pants. That's the Pomona racing spirit Keenan!
the helmet is about the only thing they really check in inspection so i had to use my current race helmet. that's it, next time i am wearing the blue pants. tatro
4:14 - 4:26 "Well, for the rest of the world, this is California. That's what I'm talking about rriigghhtt there! California!" Yeah that's what I'm talking about to! It's nice to see that there are still blondes left in "California"! Thanks for zooming in! Too bad the little girl with jeans on was blocking the view!
CONGRATS ; So the Cushman has a motocross motor , my uncle used to build those ( St. Louis watchmaker and eyes started going ) but anyways, affirms my hearing a chainsaw , ( that was a trick back in the day I'm sure you remember ).
Keenen, out of curiosity what HP figure did you come up given the time slips? I'd do the math myself but I'm not sure of the GVW. I'm sure in stock configuration it has a whopping 30hp? lol
the highest stock hp was 25hp for all 45's at the crank. wla's have lower compression so it would be down some. i only had my bike on the dyno once for fun and it was around 40hp as i recall. best 1/4 speed was 80mph. best 1/8 was 10.15 sec. best top speed was 84.5 mph at muroc dry lake bed, that would be edwards air force base. the bike is heavy, probably around 500lbs. tatro
Thanks, thats pretty respectable considering the displacement and age of it. Too bad you couldn't squeeze say 80 bhp out of it and smoke twin cams! That'd be HILARIOUS watching some yuppy who just blew spent bucks only to end up getting smoked by a bike from the 40's! Lol
@tatro whats the rules over there concerning pistons do they have to be original for the bike or can you use other makes like my indian 500 was running norton pistons cheers bikes running sweet
Scrutineering over here is shocking mate Ars:*!*$ trying to justify their impotence Sorry meant importance Your bike is awesome Love to know sprocket ratios and carby jetting etc To See where i went wrong
not much you can do on the gearing. i run the tallest i can. 34t motor and all else is stock. what jetting? it's a linkert. that is a 4-bolt linkert with the big vinturi. big valves, ports and cams as well as all the other crap you can do to go fast. tatro
Love the way Tatro is at the drag strip and still has an rag out his back pocket!!! 😎
....Yeah, nice 'detail'......!! And, pretty good speed/time for an old 45 Cubic Inch motor.......
not quite, its a 59" motor. 2-3/4" x 4-3/4"
tatro
Ah! I should have known....! That's almost a Sportster....
California Dream'n ,,, Alan You are Too Funny...!!!!! Keep Up the Great Camera work,,, LOL ...!!!!!

Hilarious, always Great , watching your video's .

not sure what motor he was using but it was not a flathead like i use. it was close but i still got him.
tatro
that look like a lot of fun so they just let you run down the strip and then you can turn around and come back and restage again
don't forget the hour wait between passes. racing requires lots of waiting.
tatro
Hell Yeah !
Tatro you can always take out the rifle and shoot the competition ! LOL
I wonder how much faster it would be with out that 1/4 sheet of plywood on the front < windshield >!!!!
not much, the bike runs out of ignition as soon as you get a good load on it.
tatro
10-4 got ya!!@@TatroMachine
Creepy Knuckle head, you talking about the bike or Tatro?
That rear tyre getting hard?
no, just broken in. its only 40 years old.

don't laugh too hard, the old bike cost more.
tatro
what kinds of 1/4 mile times does that bike post?
Did you watch the end of the video?
17 flat at about 75mph. just slightly faster then stock.
tatro
got to love painted on blue jeans
