after setting for 3 years it is time to drag out my race bike and get it ready for some fun. it has been getting harder to kick start and has been slowing down too. looks like i might be onto my problem this time. after fixing my problems i am also going to try a new oil to see how it works. the 20w-50 tribodyn oil should free up some horsepower from the lower drag it offers and also drop the motor temp some. it should also quitet the motor down some too as it coats the inside of the motor with its special additives. i will also be putting some 75w-140 tribodyn in the trans to see if it makes the trans shift better. my high gear shift dogs are getting worn-out so i was to able to power shift into high gear last time i drag raced my bike. will let you know how the test goes on this tribodyn oil.

yes and it still has a bad transmission that i can't power shift into high anymore. its a good thing that i know how to speed shift.

Tatro Machine - what's the difference? (Not trying to be a smartass; never have picked up on the distinction)
a power shift is when you shift with full power. that means the throttle stays wide open. i use just touch the clutch and jam it into the next gear. you can also hit a hill button and jam it into gear too. you just have to unload the gears somewhat so that you can get the shift dog to move to the next gear.
a speed shift is where you shut the throttle just enough to unload the shift dog so that you can shift it. the time varies depending on what you need to get the shift done. it all about you timing your actions.
a power shift is quicker but harder on the bike.

Tatro Machine - got it, thanks for explanation. BTW, is this the WL box you put the four speed kit in, or was that another bike?
that was fun , that 45 cubic inch really runs , my 32 top out at about 50 mph if you dare go there , shaky at best ,lol
my 1935 45 rl got a ticket for doing over 70mph one night coming home from a swapmeet. they should have given me a prize instead.

were you expecting each race to end in the clouds? no way you could try and aim the camera at the actual vehicles?
that is call videoing blind because of the non daylight video screen.
i made a hood for the 2nd hour of video. somewhat better now.
