Nasuverse and record of ragnorak are only similar in the fact that historical figures and deities fight each other. There was a lot of hype behind this anime , the manga is apparently great , it just turned out to be an slide show instead of an actual anime. Thats the reason it fucked up , not because it was trying to copy another popular anime
