  • Join the Jazz Rock Experience as they invite you on a wild musical ride through the electrifying sounds of the late '60s and early '70s. "Let Yourself Go" is a collection of previously unreleased live and studio sessions from 1969/70, showcasing the groundbreaking work of Bruno Spoerri and Hans Kennel's sextet and octet. From the moment the horns blare and the guitars wail, you'll find yourself swept up in a trance-inducing blend of jazz-funk, folk music from Eastern Europe, and free improvisation.
Recorded in Switzerland, these tracks capture the spirit of a bygone era when experimentation and innovation ruled the airwaves. Tracks like "If It Wasn't For Dicky" and "Blues No Blues" showcase the band's ability to seamlessly blend genres, while covers of classics like "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child" and "Listen Here" pay homage to the group's diverse influences. With a lineup that includes saxophonist Freddy Meier, guitarist Raphael Waeber, and drummer Kenny Schmidt, every track is a testament to the band's incredible talent and chemistry.
But "Let Yourself Go" isn't just about the music-it's also a journey through the band's colorful history. From their early days playing at Zurich's legendary Café Africana to their adventures at the Montreux Festival, the album is a testament to the band's enduring legacy. With new sleeve notes by Bruno Spoerri himself, this release offers a rare glimpse into the inner workings of one of Switzerland's most influential jazz-rock bands.
So sit back, relax, and let the Jazz Rock Experience transport you to a time when the boundaries between genres were meant to be broken. It's a musical adventure you won't soon forget.
