Just got promoted into an FP&A role. This was a fantastic overview.
If you did deep-dive videos into each of the sub-topics you name in the "job responsibilities" and "skills required" sections it'd add even more great content to your channel, helpful for anyone else looking to get into or build out their FP&A toolkit

Great video. I have been working as a financial analyst for 2 years now straight out of college and would say this is exactly on par of what is expected. My company uses powerBI as a main tool for sharing data to upper management.

Hello, I am a corporate finance analyst specialized in Valuation and I have approximately 2 years of experience in this field (i was involved also in financial due diligence, but it is not my main business line). I am interested in FP&A. Considering my background, what studying material would you suggest me? Please feel free to suggest books, online courses or whatever material you think would be useful for me.
Thank you very much in advance

How difficult would the transition be from a personal financial planner to an FP&A Analyst? If I hold a CFP and a Master's in Data Analytics, would that make for a smoother transition? Also, I'm making around $200k annually, bonus inclusive. How long do you think it would take to reach a comparable salary upon transitioning to FP&A from PFP?

not the author of the channel, but I have been working in FP&A, and I can say that you would need to work with data a lot (performing data cleaning, modeling, etc), so if you don't like to work with a large amounts of data I'd recommend to look for another opportunities.

not the author of the channel, but I have been working in FP&A, and I can confirm that you of course you can transition to FPA, just probably take some courses on Fin Analysis, Forecasting, advanced Excel (PQ + PP), Power BI, Tableau
