This is us recording the standard tune "Remember" by Irving Berlin for our upcoming new album "Cycles".
From the Liner notes:
“On our previous albums we featured our own compositions exclusively. This one
showcases something else we have always been doing since we started working together as a trio 10 years ago: playing standard tunes and improvising freely. The tracks named “cycle” are not so much original compositions but rather conceptual sketches in which
mostly constant, three-part chord structures are taken through specific, symmetrical harmonic cycles (indicated in the respective track name). They serve as loose frameworks for spontaneous, improvisational interpretation of the material. “
