I agree, this book was a fun time. I understand some of the criticism about the writing but honestly? I had a great time reading this book and I can’t say that about many books from this year.

I literally went to finish my copy of the book just so I could dish about it too😊!! I won't lie I thought I would hate it because booktok can be misleading sometimes, but this was good!! I also gave it 4 stars. The atmosphere was so good, the challanges were engaging, and the dragons were the best part. I really hope the next one is just as good if not better! Also Xaden was a fun time. I did not expect him to give such big partner-in-crime vibes. He gave me book boyfriend vibes especially for that reason. Dain on the other hand? EW. Big ew. Those last few chapters were intense. I am not the type to cry, but one part really brought the tears out of me. I feel like I'm gonna need more adultish fantasy of this caliber. Easy going, entertaining, but rewarding, yet atmospheric, with a realistic found family element. I'm pumped for the second one! Hope you get around to reading that one too!
