This reminds me of the good old days with the friendly bartenders and classic drink's. I almost feel like ordering a piña colada and telling you all my problems 😊
I keep watching your videos and can’t decide what to make for Christmas. I have some bourbon lovers coming over and am hoping to make this syrup and mix with bourbon. Hope it’s not a fail. Wish me luck!
Which type of pear do you use? Rocha, Abate fetel, Anjou, Asiatique , Williams, Bosc, Comice, Forelle, Fragrant, Rocha, Seckel, Bartlett? Thank you , loves your videos !!
I used Rocha pears from Portugal in my pear syrup. They're somewhat sweet, firm and worked really well poached in white wine. I would like to try other varieties in the future though. Bartletts might be fun to play with. When they're mature but not fully ripe, they're a little tart. Bosc pears might be interesting too because they're juicy and sweet with notes of woodsy spice. So many pear varieties, so little time... Ooh, I think I'll mix and match next time when pears are in season. Thanks for commenting, Charles. Cheers!
Ultimate experience
I love a good Pear syrup. Thanks Bruce :)
I never knew I needed this
