As a child (about 9 or 10) my older brother and I wander about in woods…we even came upon an old forgot cemetery. My brother step, where the earth gave way too. He thought he lost his shoe. That was pretty creepy! It was up in the mountains in town called grass valley in California! We were visiting our adopted grandma, she was my dads brother in law mom. She was awesome! There were quite a few abandoned silver mines up there. We even came across one of those also. I’m glad I told my brother not go pick around in there. But it was fun to explore as a kid. That was long ago! 👍👍
It would depend on what the weather looked like and how densely packed the foliage was. If it looks inviting or interesting then yes I would. If it looks sketchy, then no
Perhaps woods in England are different than here in Canada, where the tangle of underbrush combined with hurricane fallen pine trees make the woods impenetrable. I have only to look at my trail cam pictures to see the wildlife using my front path includes coyotes and black bears. While extra caution is needed in the spring and early summer, by late October the animals are no longer hungry or protecting cubs. I can’t imagine a city girl feeling safe wandering around the woods though. Thank you for making this story available. It was a little bit of needed refuge in a new troubled world. I enjoyed it very much whilst sewing and cleaning up.
@@phoebegraveyard7225 The woods ARE different, and not as thickly filled with underbrush, especially when it's woods belonging to an estate. They tend to keep things cleared out - they're well overseen.
My childhood home backed into woods. They were my favorite place to wander up into my teens when we moved. However we moved to a very very haunted beach condo with 100 yr old craggly oak trees draped in Spanish moss. I didn't wander there. Bad vibes. I once asked a psychic how many spirits lived in my haunted condo where doors closed on their own and my sister and I had nightmares. She replied... 18.
Answer to the author: I grew up surrounded by wooded mountains in southern West Virginia. I spent uncountable hours traipsing through the woods alone, and I generally take the "road less traveled" when given the choice. 😊 Just a note about the book... It was another night spent so that I could finish. I loved it as I have loved every book of yours that I have listened to, grateful for your generosity at sharing your books in audio for free. Thank you!
I rarely write comments on UA-cam. But here I feel compelled to. I've heard several of your audiobooks by now, and loved all of them. So sweet, and with compassionate protagonists. This one I liked particularly, maybe because it's quite unique and in a way unconventional. And the narrator is simply marvellous! Already looking forward to the next...
Thank you for a beautiful story. Stuttering is such a difficult condition. My husband suffered with it for many years as a young boy before receiving caring help from his grandmother. Thus I find myself quite partial to this tale.
Sally, I have to admit I left this story of yours till last because I'm not drawn to haunted or ghost type stories. BUT, what a surprise, I'm so glad I didn't pass it by! First of all, I'm from NY but moved to Northumberland to marry my British husband and I was so excited to hear you based your tale there! How many times we've gone to Harbottle, threw stones in that river (Devil's Elbow) and admired the wildflowers there, although I think it's a private campground now. We've hiked up to the Drake stones several times and had marvelous views and yes the lake is just behind it.I did some sketching on our walk up there. My husband told me the tales of people passing children over or through a certain rock...can't remember the details now I'll have to ask him. The old castle ruins are situated on steep banks and make an interesting explore. You also mentioned Holystone, I couldn't believe it. That is a very special place to us, it's very peaceful and has a huge rectangular pool of the freshest spring water ever. It's a very old site, going back further even than the first Christians and there used to be a nunnery there too. We have an elderly lady friend who lives in that village still, she's a retired shepherdess and is 92! We now live in the Scottish Borders but only about an hour and half away so we'll be back. A few notes about how some things were pronounced by the narrator, you learn in the UK that local places have their own way of pronouncing names! Alnwick, mentioned early in the story, is actually said like "Annick", also the river Coquet is pronounced like "Coquette or Co-ket" and it's the prettiest river valley I've ever seen! Please think about visiting those places you only saw on Google earth, you will love them all. The coastline and beaches in the area are superb also! Check out Bamburgh castle, Edlingham castle (we lived right near it), too many places to mention! ps. I loved the story too, the characters were great! Loved the ghosts too, that part reminded me of one of those cheerful old movies you see with friendly ghosts in them.
I am absolutely GOBSMACKED that you know Harbottle!!! Oh my goodness. While I wrote this, I followed the renovation of the public house on Facebook. I studied dozens of maps from the 17th and 18th century. I read so many tourism guides, even some from the early 1800's, that mentioned the Drake Stone! This is amazing. I am so excited that you've been there, and seen the things I so wanted to see! I spent so much time using Google Street View to wander the town and lanes leading to it. Incredible. I am thoroughly jealous of you, and so pleased, too! Northumberland doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves in fiction. :-) I'm glad you didn't mind my ghosts. I tell everyone it isn't a scary book, but the word "Haunting" does tend to throw people. Of course, having been there, you know where I took liberties. This is lovely! Thank you so much for telling me all about it.
@@AuthorSallyBritton You seriously deserve a trip there. We live in a beautiful place now but we both still talk about all our favorite walks in Northumberland. Any natives there always joke and say to "keep it a secret" about how beautiful it is! Truly! It's very very easy to find B+B's to stay at. There are the Cheviot hills to explore or the un-crowded beaches and clear footpaths everywhere. It's a great trip for families too just in case you have kids. Let me know if you ever do take a trip there, my husband and I could give you ideas of where to go. There's a country fair at Alwinton too, wasn't that in the book too? Some of the most gorgeous hills there! All I know after all the research you did it deserves a reward, go to Northumberland!
Lovely to hear your story and the details of the area which you obviously fell in love with. If only I were younger I would like to take a trip and se them all!
What a wonderful story…I even got some ghostly goosebumps at the end, actually more likely warm fuzzies! There’s almost no words to say how much I enjoyed this story. But from the beginning of Ras and Louisa meeting I thought the treasure was them being together! I sooooooo loved this storybook tell! Thank you again and again Sally. ❤️📖📖❤️. Now on to reading your additional epilogue! Have a blessed day! 🙏❤️
Just had to start the book again the moment I'd finished listening to the epilogue. Like with every other Sally Britton stories I thought this one touched me the most. It's such a lovely story, a book filled with lots of kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you so much, Sally for sharing this with us. As always, I smiled a lot, laughed out loud and shed some tears, too.... means this book has everything that makes for hours of joy reading or listening. ❤ All the best to you and your loved ones 🙋🏻♀
I have listened to some of Sally's other stories. I have liked them. I wasn't sure I would like this. But I have to say, although I am only starting Chapter 5, I am thoroughly enjoying it. Even more than the others. Wonderful.
The title of this story has frightened (no pun intended) away many readers. But I love it too much to change it. I'm always happy when someone takes a chance on it. I hope you continue to enjoy my friendly ghosts and their great-grandson.
It's such a sweet story. I can see why you wouldn't want to change a thing. I love reading. When I first started with audiobooks I almost felt guilty. But I love to relax at the end of the day with a good story and a hot bath. Books and baths don't always go well together. Thus the addition of audiobooks. However, I will be looking for your written word for those non bath times. Thank you!!!
Love is perfect - though people are not. Discovery is always wonderful. Ras's stutter was perfect too. It proves the point and soothing nature of there romance. The gentle kindnesses that were conveyed between the main characters was done masterfully. Looking forward to more of your writings. I am now a devoted subscriber.
You are extremely talented. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. It’s refreshing to know that I can read without fear of bad language or sexualized situations. I can’t thank you enough for that Sally💕
I would definitely wander around the woods and I have done so many times. I have a cabin near the woods and 3/4 mile behind it is a lake. One night I took my dog with me through the woods to the lake and as I sat down on the bank fog began to roll in slowly covering the lake like a blanket. It was one of the most beautiful sights I ever saw ,and a little unnerving at the same time as the need to return to my cabin before the fog managed to obscure our path back. I Loved this story but I'm finding I enjoy all of your stories so far. You can use that little bit of information in one of your books if you like I certainly don't plan on writing a book. I think there was a half moon shining at the time as I remember the trees being shiny with light. It was magical.
I have been in places like that, with feelings like that. We have a boat we take to our lake nearby, and it's always magical. We've been on the water in fog, in rain (not lightning!), and on days when the water is so still it looks like someone covered the lake in a thin silken fabric. Nature always transports my imagination to faraway times and places. I hope you have many more such lovely experiences in the woods.
How lovely to read of a benign haunting of the kind I have rannslatedfor people through the years. Most, however, would not make such a good story with the excellent characterisation and unusual plot. Very enjoyable and a story I will enjoy that I will enjoy listening to more than once.. Thank you for sharing your gift for words.
I loved this book. I dont know if I can convey my thoughts as they are properly to you. Especially my enthusiasm in hearing all that you wrote for this book. I enjoyed the characters emencely, while I felt like I was a ghost myself and watching these amazing characters come to an empass. I took a few notes. I hope your not starting to panic that I am a writer. I am not. One aspect was I related to Louisa. I'm from a similar background as her. Only important to her mother when needed then simply shoved aside. Amoung other things. Like how her mother was out in society to find a man to marry herself. However, thus proved to be for Louise's benefit. Strange how it all works out in the end. Secondly, the ghosts were present for so much of this budding romance and they both encouraged to look past society or standing for something more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I happened to stumble about your UA-cam channel and now I am a subscriber. Thank you for your notes at the end of your books. I truly enjoy that. It gives me a mind's eye about and your thoughts. Please don't stop this as your channel grows. I have more notes, however, my message is long.
These are such thoughtful notes. Thank you for sharing them. I plan to put author's notes at the end of all my audiobooks shared here. It's too fun not to!
I loved this story and it ended too soon for me... I wanted to hear all about the extended family's reactions and the treasure being unearthed. Thanks for another captivating story!!
Ohh my goodness mis Britton i love this book the store the characters, everything. The narration, wow thank you very much it is a great work, love it 💕🎉
I was hesitant at first to listen to this because I get scared easily so haunting tales are usually a no no for me. However, because of your decorum with your other audio books, which I've listened to, I gave this one a shot. Your handling of the subject didn't disappoint. It wasn't over-the-top with Halloween references but understated, emphasizing instead the mystery that tales of long ago conjure and the beauty of Autumn with its colors and the deep hued attire of cool weather. The ghost pair were endearing and even funny! I love the back and forth banter of the Scotsman Erasmus and his wife Elizabeth. Well done!
Yay! This is actually the first of my books that my mother read - and it's a bit dedicated to her, because of her love for ancestors and ancient lands. I am so glad you enjoyed it.
💖💖 This is such a heartwarming, thoughtful, funny and enjoyable book! I'd never thought that I would love a Halloween book... Thank you so very much for sharing this! 💖💖
Thank you for sharing such a captivating story. Your characters truly come alive, and I can’t help but fall in love with them. It was beautifully narrated xxx
I live vicariously through my audiobooks and I have had a hard time finding new ones that catches my attention I'm an hour and a half in and it is so refreshing and delightful absolutely hooked the narrator is great and the story is so intriguing
Love this story so much! Everyone needs such an aunt! You create such delightful characters, I can’t help but love them. Thank you for sharing your gift as an author! My favorite scene was the combined set down and defense of Ras at the dinner party. Such wisdom there!
❤This book was excellent. I love listening and also disappointed when it ends. As I have been with all your books. I want them to continue on. Always a sign of a great book. Now to see if I can find another. Sincerely Mary H,
This was fantastic. I usually don‘t like ghost storys and it took me a while to get into the Story, but I‘m so glad I continued listening. They were such a charming caring young couple, and you showed perfectly how and why their affection for another grew, instead of these toxic oversexualised jealous cliches, especially historical romances often like to use. The characters also feeled realistic, and so did their actions. neither pseudo historically naive/block headed, nor anachronisticly modern, neither always socially correct, nor constantly having a bad concience about it, but also not being oblivious about it. This Is how comfort literature should be like. I will definitely come back to this audiobook.
You summed up so well why so many of the historical audiobooks I have discovered lately have grated instead of charming and delighting. I have had to give up listening without eactly analysing why.
this storyline was such a welcome change of pace for my confused mind. dialogue, thoughts, characters and settings were beautifully done. The mist on screen is PERFECT backdrop!
what is better than listening to one of your books? “Re-listening” to one! Reading your alternative ending spurred me on to another enjoyment of the whole one. At least as good as the first time. 😊
Thank you for another enjoyable story. I kind of chopped that in the end, Louisa would catch a glimpse of the ghostly couple but perhaps it is best she didn’t. After all, they inspired her enough without a spectral visit.
I wrote an extended epilogue in which she did get to see them. I've been toying with the idea of having it narrated and adding it to the story. It sounds like I should. :-)
(25:32) This story starts out so quick, with so much going on, I love it! And it isn't full of all the regency romance novel cliches that are so typical. AND! SPOILER - I'm loving the guy who hears voices! What a unique and original storyline! So excited about this book! It feels very promising. (2:36:45) LOL this is the absolute cutest, funniest story by far! LOL spoiler - I'm right at the part where Erasmus is hurtling himself out the window and the girl sees him and I'm laughing so much! I LOVE THIS STORY! It is so unique - no dumb regency romance novel cliches to make it frustrating or boring - just fun new twists and turns! Dang best story I've listened to in a long while! (5:13:19) Sigh.... spoiler - such a sweet part when she came to Erasmus' defense at the dinner and then they sing a duet and forgot everyone else - sigh... so swoon-worthy! I loved it! awww - only an hour left - I don't want this to end! I love this story. Sigh - Such a good story. I loved it - every minute - even the - spoiler - ghosts... I am usually a huge snob about fictional stories being as true to life as possible and historically accurate - but the way these ghosts were written and the way they were entwined into the story worked and made me love them as much as I loved Erasmus and the main female character. Of all of Sally Britton's books, this is my favorite!
Most delightful & definitely enchanting!!! Your stories & characters are I feel so real & endearing to my heart. Thank you for following your heart by writing your stories, for shy your passions us fans, your epilogue & narrator too! Your writing of this and all your stories allows us all to enjoy these stories and believe in true love! ❤️😊
For me the ghosts was there to bring Ras and Louisa together, that they knew they would be a good gouple. The ghosts could have shown up earlier or later in Ras family but they picked him. They also didn't seem to be in a hurry and poke their nose into the matter about Louisa than anything else. The key to find what was hidden was to understand the people who hid it in the first place. My guess is that neither Ras or Louisa would have found tresure alone. Odd name for a kitten, how did you come up with that? Giggled when she attacked Louisa's skits and ran off, so typical for a playful cat. Thank you for sharing your great story
I am so glad you enjoyed it! And yes, the ghosts were certainly there in large part because of Louisa and Ras. :-) And that kitten! Thyme is an herb, of course, but in the middle-ages it symbolized courage. I thought it an apt name for a kitten who had already survived so much at such a young age. So did Louisa. :-)
Absolutely delightful ❤️ I did try to get to the second epilogue, but was not successful. I gave it 2 attempts. Perhaps you could record it sometime. Thank you I enjoyed it very much.
Hello Sally, autumn has returned to our beautiful mountains of Southeastern BC. Soon the mountains that surround our valley will be ablaze in autumn’s rich colors. The days are getting shorter, the nights dipping down into the very low 2 and 3 degrees Celsius. We await the first frost. A perfect time for COVID to hit us.😢. So here I am under my warmest comforter feeling less than stellar. Then I remembered your lovely book I now associate with this season, the Haunting at Havenwood. I’m settled in with a cup of Chamomile tea and I’m ready for my annual listen of one of my favorite stories. It may not do much for my symptoms but it will brighten my day. Thank you so much. You devoted listeners, Irene from BC.
Just stumbled upon this video, I was looking a spooky romance novel and it was not what I was expecting. Nevertheless, it was a marvelous tale! I enjoyed it so much! I need more!
Not being American, Halloween is not part of my culture and Ghost stories is not something I'm interested in. But when my favorite authors write them I have to read and this one is now such a favorite story of mine. Thank you for letting me listening to it. And your narrator is doing a great job!
It isn't something that was widely celebrated during the Regency either, which is why there's only a mention of All Hallows Eve. I'm really glad you took a chance on it, though! 👻❤️
The poor kittens :( I’m grappling with the fact that we will have to let another one of our kitties go. Second one in 4 months. Makes me think of when I first met my kitties!! 4:25:11
I loved everything. I just love how you tell such beautiful stories. When we learned of Rass' writers block, I wondered if we were getting an explanation of your bad writing days? And I hope that your own family is as thrilled with your writing and says such lovely things. I would love to write more, but don't want to give away anything in the comments. You have outdone yourself again!
Hello! This was part of a multi-author collection. The other books in this series are not linked to this one. They were written by other people and not turned into audiobooks. You can find them on Amazon as ebooks.
My take on Louisa in the woods is she didn’t go in consciously. She led off the path by pretty flowers and got lost. Many people today wander off their path when they see something pretty.
@@AuthorSallyBritton the Scottish elements and ancestral ghosts. But also I liked both characters and their repartee. Plus neither did anything stupidly contrived. I’ve liked that in all your books so far. Thank you for the enjoyment.
Maybe my subtitle for this one should be: The Not-At-All-Scary Ghost Story... Lol. I just love the name and cover too much to change them. But maybe it needs something brighter...
I am so sorry! I need to add that link to the description. This is where you can get the bonus episode: www.subscribepage.com/ahahbonus It DOES require an email sign-up, but after you receive your epilogue you can unsubscribe without any hurt feelings on my side. :-) If you have any problems, please let me know!
I just released a new book today - so AFTER that one, I highly recommend Martha Keyes, Kasey Stockton, Jennie Goutet. If you go over to my main page here on UA-cam and scroll down, there are a bunch of people's faces in circles. Those are my recommended channels - they are all authors of sweet romance, and many of them are close friends!

My mom actually felt the same way! When she finished she came to my office and demanded to know everything that happened "next." :-)
@AuthorSallyBritton will there be a second book? Please 😊

How kind you are to share your talent’s and gift with us! Blessings galore from London! Love this book!
♥️✨👑✨♥️
Love your story . Very good plot , likeable characters , excellent narrator , no heartbreak , no embarrassing sex scenes , thank you .
I'm so glad I stumbled across your books this is the 3rd one I have listened to. They are all fantastic. Thank you for sharing!
Ohh my goodness mis Britton i love this book the store the characters, everything. The narration, wow thank you very much it is a great work, love it 💕🎉
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Very sweet book! I really loved this one!
💖💖 This is such a heartwarming, thoughtful, funny and enjoyable book! I'd never thought that I would love a Halloween book... Thank you so very much for sharing this! 💖💖
You are so welcome! When I wrote it, I really wanted to do something different than the normal Regency romances.
I hope you enjoyed the whole thing!
@@AuthorSallyBritton yes I did I enjoyed it very much thank you I highly recommend it to others
Love this story so much! Everyone needs such an aunt! You create such delightful characters, I can’t help but love them. Thank you for sharing your gift as an author!
My favorite scene was the combined set down and defense of Ras at the dinner party. Such wisdom there!
Thank you. That scene took careful consideration to write!
I enjoyed this story very much. The narrator was excellent. Thanks very much.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for saying so. 👻👻👻💜💜💜
❤This book was excellent. I love listening and also disappointed when it ends. As I have been with all your books. I want them to continue on. Always a sign of a great book. Now to see if I can find another. Sincerely Mary H,
Thank you for your kind words, Mary. ❤️
This was another wonderful story. I can relate to Raz's speech problem as my son had a severe problem as a child. Thanks for this delightful story.
Stuttering is a lot more common than people think!
I'm glad you found the story to your taste. :-) It really isn't your typical "ghost" story. Thank you for listening!
You summed up so well why so many of the historical audiobooks I have discovered lately have grated instead of charming and delighting. I have had to give up listening without eactly analysing why.
Loved this book
I just finished the audiobook. I lt was absolutely charming! What a delightful story!!
Absolutely for me my most favorite book so far. I liked that it moved faster with less detail of the characters thoughts.
I agree, sometimes with too many unnecessary details it seems like padding to please the publisher.
this storyline was such a welcome change of pace for my confused mind. dialogue, thoughts, characters and settings were beautifully done. The mist on screen is PERFECT backdrop!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And YES! I had fun making the visual for it!
Everything about this book is delightful.
This is definitely my top 3 of your stories. I just LOVE IT.
I'm so glad you love it that much!!! I'm actually listening to it myself right now.
I didn't think I'd enjoy the story, but I have to apologise as it was a very sweet story and I did enjoy it. ❤️
No worries! I know the "Haunting" aspect can make people raise their eyebrows. ;-)
All your stories are so kind and sweet. Love listening to them at the end of a tough day… thank you for sharing with us!!!
I'm glad they can help you unwind and relax. 🥰
I enjoyed this book more than any I have read in a long time. Wonderful writing and great narrating!!
Wow, thank you!
What a wonderfully refreshing and delightful story. Beautifully narrated as well. Thank you.
Thanks for listening! I'm glad you enjoyed it. ❤️
What a lovely funny book!
💜 So glad you enjoyed it!
Delightful book and brilliant narrator
Another sweet and wonderful story.
Thank you. 🥰
So many titles, so little time. The title was immediately interesting. Superior narrator!
what is better than listening to one of your books?
Loved it, loved it, loved it !!! Thank you for a great story.
Best of luck for your future.
Thank you so much 😀
Most delightful & definitely enchanting!!! Your stories & characters are I feel so real & endearing to my heart. Thank you for following your heart by writing your stories, for shy your passions us fans, your epilogue & narrator too! Your writing of this and all your stories allows us all to enjoy these stories and believe in true love! ❤️😊
Your comments are all so lovely. Thank you so much!
Really enjoyed this one…such tender hearted souls. Thank you Sally.
You are so welcome! I really want to find a way to revisit Ras and Louisa again.
I LOVED this story!
Midway through, and this is turning out to be a gem of a story! Loving this!
I hope you enjoyed the whole of it!
I love your author’s notes! Thank you!
They're so much fun to record! Thank you!
Very lovely story , I realy enjoyed it. Thank you so much. ❤
I love all your books! Sweet but captivating I keep coming back for more!
Sometimes I need a story to go to sleep too.
Have been listening to this for few weeks now.
So glad you found this one soothing!
Still listening to this for soothing.
I think it could be a movie.
It sounds like a great movie.
I love it. ❤️
Beautiful story and the narrator is perfect.
Jessica is a marvel. I'm always grateful to work with her. Thanks for listening!

Glad you enjoyed it!
This story is amazing and very calming and nice to listen to ❤
Thank you! 😊
Lovely story, thank you!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Thanks for the fun, entertaining story!
Absolutely. And it's almost the perfect time of year to enjoy it!
Just beginning this novel on October 31, 2033 🎃 perfect time for a spooky tale! 🎉
@@AuthorSallyBritton Aaah, that makes more sense than "Time" as I though was said :)
Loved the story. I have thoroughly enjoyed so many of your books! Thank you
Glad you like them!
I'm so glad!
First time listener. Great story and wonderful narration!
Thank you!! 😊🥰
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was delightful. I loved both characters, and the story was sweet, and sweetly ‘spooky’ except not, lol. As always, a terrific ‘read.’
Yay, thank you! Spooky-but-not was totally the aim. ;-)
Absolutely delightful ❤️ I did try to get to the second epilogue, but was not successful. I gave it 2 attempts. Perhaps you could record it sometime. Thank you I enjoyed it very much.
It's a lovely idea to record it. I'll speak to my narrator about it. :-)
@@AuthorSallyBritton thank you for considering recording.
Such an enjoyable story.
Just stumbled upon this video, I was looking a spooky romance novel and it was not what I was expecting. Nevertheless, it was a marvelous tale! I enjoyed it so much! I need more!
I have more. ;-)
Such a sweet story!!! Loved it
You are so kind! Thank you. Did you have a favorite part?
@@AuthorSallyBritton loved how smart and bold she is in a time most women were expected to be meek an mild the whole story was just so refreshing
I don’t believe in ghosts but the humor was wonderful and a delightful story
Neither do I! But I love that we can play with the idea in fiction!
Beautiful story I have read half book now listening to other half great book read this month
It is perfect for October!
Wonderful book!🎉
The poor kittens :( I’m grappling with the fact that we will have to let another one of our kitties go. Second one in 4 months. Makes me think of when I first met my kitties!! 4:25:11
I'm sorry. 😔 I have one kitty, and I love her dearly. They're an important part of our lives. ❤️
Hahahahaha. Oh my!! Around 1:10 i cant stop laughing!!
What a hilarious story!
Hope you enjoyed the whole of it!
Loved it.
I like this story. Only how I wish it was longer. So many events has been skipped and cramped into the epilogue.
Deadlines and word limits are a thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Hi. Thank you for uploading. This is book 6 can't fined no 1
Hello! This was part of a multi-author collection. The other books in this series are not linked to this one. They were written by other people and not turned into audiobooks. You can find them on Amazon as ebooks.
@@AuthorSallyBrittona collaboration, thank you for clarifying! And thank you for the uploads 😊
Good story. Thanks
Thanks for listening!
Loved this😉
Thank you!
Incredible haunting...
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Friendly ghosts who meddle in a love story are the only ghosts I will ever write.
My take on Louisa in the woods is she didn’t go in consciously. She led off the path by pretty flowers and got lost. Many people today wander off their path when they see something pretty.
And sometimes, leaving the path people expect you to take leads to beautiful, wonderful things.
Thanks
Very kind of you! Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it. :-)
I enjoyed this most of all
Oooo. What made it a favorite?
@@AuthorSallyBritton the Scottish elements and ancestral ghosts. But also I liked both characters and their repartee. Plus neither did anything stupidly contrived. I’ve liked that in all your books so far. Thank you for the enjoyment.
I also didn't think I would like the story, because I'm not into being scared. It wasn't scary at all! It was a sweet story about 2 sweet people!😊
Maybe my subtitle for this one should be: The Not-At-All-Scary Ghost Story... Lol. I just love the name and cover too much to change them. But maybe it needs something brighter...
Thank you 👍
Thanks!
You are very kind. Thank you!
I walk in the woods to get my steps in. The worse that happened was finding out you can get bug bites even through yoga pants.😊
I got chiggers once, wearing yoga pants. I think they liked the snug fit. LOL.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I could not find the bonus epilogue but I would love to read it. Could you please tell me how to find it?
I am so sorry! I need to add that link to the description. This is where you can get the bonus episode: www.subscribepage.com/ahahbonus It DOES require an email sign-up, but after you receive your epilogue you can unsubscribe without any hurt feelings on my side. :-) If you have any problems, please let me know!
@@AuthorSallyBritton I couldn't download or see the bonus epilogue even after signing in.
This is my last book to listen to. Sad. You have any recommendations for a similar author/genre?
I just released a new book today - so AFTER that one, I highly recommend Martha Keyes, Kasey Stockton, Jennie Goutet. If you go over to my main page here on UA-cam and scroll down, there are a bunch of people's faces in circles. Those are my recommended channels - they are all authors of sweet romance, and many of them are close friends!
Alnwick is pronounced Anick Coquet is co cet. Lots of silent letter in Northumberland Lovely story
Thank you! If I have another story set there, I'll be sure to remember that.

Stuttering can destroy a child into adulthood i know
I've had a lot of adults reach out to me about this and how much it meant for them to see stuttering in a hero.
