Indeed, they don't. For a while there, the industry was driven by innovation and the fact that the hardware had severe limitations brought out the innovative spirit even more as game designers had to come up with clever ways to overcome those limitations while giving you a game that completely worked. No room for patches and hundreds of updates to fix a game. The game had to be great and had to run great. The fact that the technology now is so advanced gave birth to lazy game designers and game studios that only want a quick cash grab. That's why games come out so broken and a lot of them feel like the same re-polished crap.
I hate that green eye ball boss (the second last boss from the final boss). It ruins the game for me. What were they even thinking!? Other than that, good game.
The clink sound from the bullets hitting invulnerable spots is different than the NES. Is this from a Famicom or other version of the game?
It's a very interesting detail to notice. It's the EU version for the NES. Never played the US version so I can't tell really :)
They don't make games like this anymore, although the technology is literally thousands of times better.

@@longplays4days you spoke the brutal truth, brother. That's why I mostly prefer retro games.

Indeed, he can be annoying. Defeating him was a close call for me as well.
