When I listen, I remember, especially the old ones, my own experiences and challenges associated with the music and the storytelling Naktigonis brings forth.
Genuinely gives me chills. It's strange, but the ambient music almost makes me feel some sort of emotions, like confusion and being lost. Your talent definitely reaches beyond just making great music, it genuinely portrays the conditions you are in, almost like you can feel the whole area just from the music. Never stop doing music man, you're amazing at it

This is amazing atmosphere it somehow gives u the vibe that ur exploring “the arctic” and “the underworld” at the same time. This music wouldnt be half as good if it wasnt along with the game
it’s an amazing touch to start off with a variation of oscillation. it gives you the sense that you never really left the depths, you just went deeper.
Hearing this as a freshie after being knocked into the void and waking up in Layer 2 is an otherworldly feeling, I’ll tell you that much.

Naktigonis really captured the feeling of being lost in a new land and mystery with the layer 2 ost cant wait to hear more
This music… it feels like you’ve descended into a strange world. Over time, the skin slowly peels back to show the true form of it all. That final realization as you realize that you’ve walked into the depths of Hell itself. A place of terror, filled with eldritch abominations, and all other kinds of horrors.
It's not long before the otherworldly feeling subsides and all you can hear is the roar of the wind... and the breathing of the snow.
The gales howling turns to a whisper as you escape its grasp…
atmosphere plays a big part in osts. whoever this naktigonis person is did an amazing job with creating an ost that both sounds good and gives of a fitting atmosphere.
Just on the periphery of the blasting hurricane, a peaceful town of strange folk; a place for respite, if only for a moment.
There is no greater fear struck into your soul than waking up in layer 2 and hearing those first distorted notes. SHIVERS. GOOSEBUMPS.
As I step into the shrine the wind begins to howl, picking up, faster and faster. It continues to gain speed until I have no choice but to brace myself against it just to avoid being pushed off the bridge. Snow covers my coat as the wind dies down, but as I prepare to move on I notice my arm feeling heavy. It only takes one glance to figure out, *this isn't snow.*

"you feel a cold and chilling breeze pass over you as you try to get your face out of the powdery yet thick snow, unlike any other you've felt before, it feels like it's... moving... as you look around at your surroundings, you notice a small tent on a hill above you, hoping to find respite, you wander in, not expecting to be lunged at by these horrific and disfigured things possessing the husks of your once living comrades. Whatever happened to them, you pray to the gods doesn't happen to you. You grab a strange white glowing orb, it's light growing ever brighter the closer you get to a strange door you found before. You place the orb inside a strange slot, a perfect fit for it. The door begins to crumble and fall, revealing a passage that you run through as your skin becomes frostbitten, you notice a strange clump of snow on your neck, you try to scratch it off but... it sticks. As you face the eternal gale, you see beastly creatures stare at you from beneath the bridge, waiting for you to fall like so many others before you, you eventually make your way to a calm and warm place, the lanterns glow a bright orange that makes you feel right back at home, when you touch it for warmth, you hear the screeching of small creatures, the weight on your neck falls, the clumps of white melting and revealing the ghastly husks of small parasites. You have no idea what to do, you begin to panic, thinking that the only way out is for a group of more experienced recruits to come down to your rescue, but you know that will never happen, the divers have already lost hundreds, if not thousands to this place, you're just considered cannon fodder after all. You explore until the weight of the parasites grows to be almost too much to bare, you give up, and sit in the snow while you wait for your flesh to be consumed by the disgusting seed of some abomination, in the end, you ended up just like the rest, another man lost to the gale, a nameless body lost to the cold."

Once again Mr Naktigonis, you have out done our expectations. A oddly disturbing yet peaceful song, fitting with the entire idea that you are out of place, nothing more than a mere foreign entity to what lies below.

I love how you spam oscillation leitmotif but thanks to your mixing, mastering and overall skill at doing music it sounds at the perfect moment and the perfect distance, its not too close, but it isn't too far, which i think means our character still has hope of returning to the safest layer
The song feels like it’s desolate, it captures the feeling of hopelessness and the horrors below. Knowing that you’re not alone in this realm of terror where death surrounds you. The song creates an atmosphere where it feels like there is nothing except for the sound of the howling wind when danger is all around you. It tells us something about the creatures and beings below. One that we could not understand.

It’s like it’s so much more the just a song it’s make you feel like your lost and a slight since of fear of the unknown which matches layer 2 so much

This never fails to give me goosebumps, each and every time me and my friends descend to Layer 2 to kick Chaser's ass. It's familiar yet alien, morbid yet curious.

There is a LOT I love about this, but my favourite part overall is where, only briefly (2:25 approx), the To Sleep, Dreaming Contour 3 motif fades in but only barely. The motif is familiar since you hear it blended with other songs on the surface, but hearing it only faintly in this song feels like that sense of hope and familiarity is only BARELY penetrating through, since The Eternal Gale is an absolute no man's land. Apart from that, OScillation become an often used motif is nice and I especially like the Killing Wind one at about 1:20, seems like it's the lietmotif to represent all of layer 2, in my opinion.
