I found a shoe repair that specializes in leather and handbag restoration. They added a matching D ring to the bag on the other side so I could attach my chain. The charge was $28. IMO this is the best option because I don’t lose precious space when adding the insert to a small bag. I was concerned the insert could slip out of the bag with the chain not attached to the actual bag.

What I did is that I bought a Kate in black and Saks gave me a $600 gift card. I paid the difference wich was $ 175...plus taxes of course.

Thanks for the video Jertin! So I bought the clutch but have a question for you. When looking at the clutch from the side near the clutch handle there is a gap between the leather flap and the clutch leather. The other side does not have this problem. Does yours do that? I’m wondering if the purse is defective :/

I got same monogram clutch in black at fartech with discount and I love it so much...I just got envelope clutch in cream white the leather is stiff doesn't feel like the black one..I love the color so I'm keeping it but I wonder why the leather feel different.

For some time now, I've been thinking about buying this clutch (directly from the boutique) which is really versatile and also very beautiful but I've looked at many reviews of YSL on the net and most of them say that the quality has gone down compared to before and I have to say that this makes me very sceptical about the durability of this little bag.
Has your little Cassandre bag been damaged in any significant way (major cracks, etc.) since you bought it, as well as the logo: has it oxidised?

Will the chain damaged the bag in the long run?
