"My knees hurt I got crud down my back" that's what she said 😂
Good catch!!!
I like this stuff. Keeping it clean 🧼!
Nice to see you keep a clean farm. Golden rule any job is a Clean Place of work is a Save place of work. Thanks
Dayne Cox I'm working on that on my farm lately! You may enjoy my content if you're looking for someone new to watch!
Doing the same clean up and put away post harvest here at the tip of WV eastern panhandle. Checked out your gear. Perfect colors for me as my closet from work to dress is black or gray (black Tees too hot in the summer). A Johnny Cash thing! Love the sound of the MM. we had them when I was a kid.
*Man I LOVE Minneapolis Moline Tractors!* 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Are you interested in a original Minneapolis Moline plow pole with the name on it?
This guy does it all!
Another great video Zach. I never fail to notice how you have really found your “on screen” personality through the course of making these videos. You’re a born communicator. Again, being a city boy the business aspects of running a successful farming operation always intrigue me as much as the actual farming, a part of the business that I don’t believe non-farmers think too much about. Hopefully over the winter months you can maybe give us city folk a little primer in what it takes to run a profitable farm in regards to forecasting the commodities markets, capital expenses, etc. Thanks for letting us hang out with ya.
thanks to you and family for farming and feeding us
The w 900 . Needs a fuel filter . Clean out the fuel line back to the fuel tank . You are doing a great job.
I was thinking gelled fuel, but am not too seasoned in dealing with extreme cold.
Hopefully your farm can carry on. It seems like a very big farm for just two people
I really enjoy videos like this. It really shows the inner workings of a farm. Not Just what goes on in the growing and harvest seasons!
Zach, thanks for showing the hard work associated with cleaning and maintenance -- particularly the grain dryer maintenance. I appreciating what farmers go through a little bit better with these maintenance videos. Thanks!
Graindryer fire = largest popcorn machine in the world😂.
BreDel Gaming 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wrong corn
Very educational video for the none farmer. Loyal Deere guy. I have a Deere in my lobster boat a new one. 750 hp. Marine. Wicked torque. 25 gallons an hour on fuel. It’s not green though. It’s yellow. But still a Deere
I am a mechanic for John Deere and I've been sent out to work on a couple of boats and first I thought it was joke. Until I saw the Deere symbol. But oh yeah they have some torque.
Oh ya it’s tropical here too near Tracy,Mn ! 28 degrees & winds out of the NE at about 20 mpg!!!!! LOVELY
Thank you so much
Man it looks cold out there...so nice here on our North Carolina farm...in the upper 40s...thank goodness...I'm able to film my videos without freezing to death...tough on your voice in the cold.....we got mud mud mud!! Enjoyed the video brotha!
Stoney Ridge Farmer if you would want to watch the new kid on the block, you might enjoy my content as it's very similar. 😊 I'm just half Zach's age!
Hi, Josh!! We got some nice clay mud here in Northern IN,too. I'm lookin forward to going to Northwest Georgia and do some tourist activities this fall. Will there still be leaves on for a couple weeks?
Try changing the fuel filter, sounds like it might have some water/ice issues.
That was my initial guess. Was it filters?
To be more specific it sounds like the "fuel/water separator" filter. Mine does the exact same thing when it gets saturated with water. He hasn't said if that was the fix but maybe he'll let us know in the next video.
Fuel jelling? Additive?
Farmin reminds me of my Air Force crew chief days on the flight line. I crewed tankers and our missions didn’t care about the weather either. Love that you are teaching not only your kids, but the rest of us pride and a solid work ethic. Thanks.
Makes me feel cold again. Thanks for all you do! Jim.
Thanks for the video. It doesn't really look like it's warm. I thought it was an excellent video you guys did together with the Peterson Farm Bros. Hope you have an excellent day
Try using the leaf blower in the drier! You'll want a face mask and eye protection!
Hey! I know you.
I always enjoy these videos. Literally put the day on hold to watch
I'm really proud of you to keep all your equipment cleaned up by washing at different times. That shows care of equipment and makes your equipment safer and to last longer. Also doing repairs when needs to be done on regular time schedule. Keep your video,s coming all appreciated 🙏.
I think it is time to teach your son, how to clean the bottom part of the drier.
No no, he wouldn't want all those bees wings in that silky flowing mane! 😆
On the truck check the fuel seperater and filters poss fuel gelling in the lines and tank
My exact thoughts put some fuel additive in and change filters
Drove a semi for some years some times that worked check the fuel lines as well
I had a 1963 Case diesel frontloader at the horse barn that had a heated element on the water jacket. With a blanket over the hood and 2 feet of snow on that it started faster and easier than in the summer! That motor was WARM BEING PLUGGED IN.
Be thankful your up around Glenwood we are getting hammered by a snow storm south east of you.
20 minutes of MN Millennial .. super stuff .. I ll boil the kettle so ..
Agri Farm Models p
If the grain dryer was to thermo run a way would you end up with a grain bin full of popcorn ?
Jan Haayer only if they screwed up ordering seed the same year.
Thank you mn farmer
I absolutely love winter time. If I lived closer I'd try and get a job helping you guys out.
"Clean Daily"
I'm sure that safety manager was laughing as he typed it
i love your videos
Love your down to earth videos! Tell it like it is!
Happy Saturday and thanks for another great video!
I wonder how good a cordless electric leaf blower would work cleaning out areas like your dryer. I use mine for all sorts of clean out task.
I've consider it but I think the dust swirling around would kill a guy!
Or even a shop vac with the tank removed and a long hose so you could maybe just let it blow outside the bin? Gotta be something out there other than the trusty ol’ shovel. 🤷🏼♂️
MN Millennial Farmer buy a gas mask! While used the leaf blower.
full face gas mask and a leaf blower would be my go to. I mean you probably need a shower after shovelling it out anyways.
@@The_pipeliner Yeah but it's hard to beat the power of a determined farmer with a shovel.
"CLEAN DAILY" :) :) :)
Love the video of your Farm I grew up around farm equipment brings back memories of a simpler time in my life before getting married and having kids and a job I've driven semi thru Minnesota many times to deliver stuff
Great video love your content!, me and my mom are working on getting some herfords. Last year I had showed my steer, so I decided it's time to get my own. Thank you for the sweat shirt !!!
Does this mean there is a new combine coming?!
Either that or they're going to quit farming. Not sure they made up their mind yet! 😉
I'm a videographer myself. Sometimes getting the perfect shot is necessary. Sometimes it's not worth it at all. 😂
Great work, great videos -- Thank you very much.
Recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Mr. Johnson thank you for your vidoes. They are big healing for me. Taking my mind off the pain. Your work is so appreciated . Merry Christmas to you and your family.

why not use your grain vac to clean out the driers
Wayn's world awesome movie
Australian farmer here. Just come across your channel and enjoying it very much. Interesting to see the similarities and differences between our farming systems. We're 70% through our harvest but have been held up with some rain over the last 10 days. Grain dryers aren't' common in my district but I could put one to use now. Too many idle days waiting for the crop to dry out.
I gotta do it...I gotta do it.....so dramatic Zach! Excellent video, I love your humour, wit and honesty about farming.
Did you clean it before or after the Mother in Law was there for Thanksgiving Diner........? Lol
Grain dryers and airplane seats = short guys' revenge
It was in the 60’s here in the Northeast Georgia mountains Friday and supposed to be pushing 70 Sunday which is welcomed after being in the 40’s earlier this week. Great video and stay safe
Matty C that weather would be nice. If you're looking for someone new to add to your watchlist, you may enjoy my content!
Just recently found your channel, I am into farmer stuff and I really like your videos! Keep it up fam.
A grain dryer fire would be a cool video. LMAO.
Wes already done that lol
Lol yup...I remember onelonley farmers dryer fire. Ours caught fire this year to...I didnt think it was to cool
7 or 8 dollars a bushel... ya, I wish lol.
andrew mullin -i
@@sarahtompkins24 what?
Green bean white half runners goes for 45$ a bushel to bad they gotta be picked by hand
That's cool you guys have snow. All we get here in the Texas panhandle is cold and high winds. Since that's the weather here I'm out here having to plow with a chisel plow pulling it with a 2018 John Deere 9620R. And I'll say it's one hell of a bumpy ride.
Great stuff! My first video and I'll definitely be watching more.
Wayne's World party time excellent
Definitely dont want to have your mother in law see your grain dryer dirty at Christmas. Haha!
I am so glad you explained the dryer to that extent. Now I actually understand how the thing works but boy it looks cold out there. See here in the gulf coast of Mississippi we are shrimpers and I have never been a shrimper I have a ton of friends that do it. You should get on down here and do a video on the seafood industry during the winter.
I love watching your videos, you do a great job at explaining everything you do on the farm. 😁

Cleaning the batch dryer is ten times easier...I'm not complaining anymore about that lol
I see you got featured in Peterson farm bros recent video
heck yeah!
Love all of your videos I literally binged watched then when I seen your channel first
I love your videos it would be nice for you to do an interview with your parents.... I'm sure your mother is pretty awesome and don't forget about ReStorin the Moline this winter waiting for that video
MN Millennial Farmer You said one of the last vids you bought your parents house? Did they moved to town? Hope you made money in 18 I’m afraid we just broke even what I’ve seen so far with the bushels harvested. Oh we there’s next year.
Brock lesnar???
Keep bring awesome videos and have safe winter and love your videos and thank god we have farmers :)
I was watchin you and your dad clean the inside and outside of the dryer, I worked for John deere in the foundry area. We used a machine called the HyVac and it would suck up sand and heavy shot though a 4 inch hose. It is portalbe enough to take the hose up inside the dryer. The Hy Vac has a easy desposabe tank underneath the HyVac for easy empty.
Do not burn the grain dryer down for UA-cam. Just my thoughts
one lonleyfarmer already showed his grain dryer burning on u-tube, so no use to do it.
@@bigjim5723 oh well you must know about burning dryers than. Sorry I said anything
@@bigjim5723you can light me up I don't like your channel

MN Millennial Farmer what next - Farmer Derek style music video parodies? 😀
great video zach thanks
All your videos have something in them that has educated me on the life of the farmer. I love all of them, you are a natural talent at this vlogging business. This one however really grabbed me when you mentioned that your family has been farming that land for 140 years and now it's your turn. I'll bet all the ills suffered in this country would be greatly reduced if that sense of family importance was restored to what it once was. Looking at the condition of your equipment, the buildings you store them in, your fields, and areas around the utility buildings, all bespeak the pride you and your father and family have for that farm. Everything is in good and immaculate order. Very impressive, this country could learn a great deal from you! Thanks for the video!
Waynes World, Party on!!
Thank you very much sir!!
Your so funny why are you selling the 9650 combine
I think they are upgrading
🔥 is a no laughing matter. They suck and no other way to put it. Talking about kids. Give em a few bucks and tell em to go play in the grain dryer. Lol where’s mike rowe when you need him
good episode for dirty jobs lmao
I watch your channel and enjoy your attitude and sense of humor. I work in construction but would love to farm for a living. I guess I live my dream through you. Keep up the great work and thank you for your hard work!!

"fire would make a good you tube video" .. yep. I'll bet you cant even enjoy a video anymore without learning from it or critiquing it's style. It's a burden you creative folk must bear. I myself have no such talent and as such are free to sit back and enjoy. Party on Wayne!
Party on Garth!
@@MillennialFarmer OMG a reply from the man himself... Schwing!
AndTheWinnerIs... he replies because this man is the real deal 👍🏻👍🏻
Don't set the dryer on fire or you'll be back in jail before you know it.
What a terrible job cleaning the dryer. Just throwing out the idea because it’s what I used to do with the dryer my old job had which was a Sukup as well. It wasn’t perfect but when you fire up the dryer everyday, if you open the clean-out door with the fans on, it actually blows a lot of the bees wings and corn dust out to where you won’t have hardly anything left at the end of harvest. Again, just throwing the idea out. Not trying to be a troll. Just trying to help a fellow farmer out.
Sam Hake you are a jerk
Dude thanks for doing this channel - We had to sell our farm in SK Canada when my dad passed away - I knew i wasn't going to take over the farm but im surprised how much i miss everything from harvest to picking rocks. Anyways this channel gives all me those nostalgia feels without the pain of the hard work !! hahaha We used case equipment all our life but honestly i asked my dad and he said you know its not really about the colour its about the relationships and we have a great relationship with our Case dealer. I can see you guys have an amazing relationship with your john deer dealership ! Its cool to see that and yes they all break down just the same :)
Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the cleaning video. Make it a long one please!
Clean daily. Pfft screw that
$58k, isn't that quite cheap for a machine that has been taken care of ?
It's fair. Combines have taken quite a hit recently and they're hard to sell.
@@MillennialFarmer Got it, here in Europe, such a machine goes well over $100k.
Yeah my Grandpa is trying to sell his but literally nobody in Georgia will buy it.
I'm not even kidding, at my dad's Farm we're actually looking into getting a 9650 combine. And I live in Minnesota!!!😆😆
to clean out the dryer you could get a painters extension pole with a blade that is used to clean roofs off
I understand how important it is to farm family land. I’m so proud that my 17 year old son has started farming on his own. It was fun to watch the teller at the bank when he was depositing his check for his lima beans. Good stuff. Lots of traffic here. We have stoplights and lots of cars driving our rural roads. Sometimes it takes 10 plus minutes to make a right turn out of the ranch. I’m jealous of the area you farm but not the cold.
Mike Naumann that's awesome! My 16 year old brother and I farm together with my Dad. Something special about it. We're in a much quieter area though! You may enjoy my content as well. 🤗

@9:36 I loved the Chris Farley in “Billy Madison” reference😂😂😂. Great video as always.
I had to rewind the video when you said 7 or 8 dollar corn. Thought I was missing a market opportunity. Laughed or smiled the whole video you remind me of my late grandpa and it usually makes my day.
We actually do clean our dryer chambers daily. It takes about 5 minutes. We just open the doors and turn on the blower fans. Blows it right out, nice and clean.
Also we check our columns every day or two and make sure they are flowing.
I am a fan of dad! He seems so humble and experienced man. Like the Gandalf of the farm!
Got my tee shirt ordered. I live in central Virginia. I've been following you for about a year. Live ve your videos and weare dirt racers too.
