    Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, Lucio Murino Sensei. For senior Karatekas, we can learn from your lessons, especially the line of gravity. Keeping low positions are taught topics, but we seniors can practice gravity and center without hurting their physical condition. Arigato gozaimasu.

    Great coaching. I appreciate Sensei Marino providing bunkai and to techniques and noting that the WKF rules permit interpretation different to the traditional.

    Love your video and how the kick has developed into kekomi in competition now. I get amused by those freaking out that it should be keage. Even though the original kick in chinto was a maegeri, and funakoshi says in his books he fully expected and hoped that kata would continue to evolve.

    Mae tobi geri must be a WKF kata's deformation, 'cause that movement must be NIDAN mae tobi geri.

    Excellent Teacher, however the Kick should be YOKO KEAGE, NOT YOKO KEKOMI. Should follow JKA Tweachings methods. But I agree this Master is excellent tecnique and Posture.

    • @vladturbin7578
      @vladturbin7578 5 років тому +1

      Formally, yes, it should be keage. However, (for 30 years)I've never seen someone using yoko-keage in a fight, because it's application is very limited. And so, I would agree with replacement.

    • @tawnyowl29
      @tawnyowl29 5 років тому

      @@vladturbin7578 no i think the best replacement would be similar to Funikoshi using mae geri in heian nidan. makes more sense, kekomi was designed to break the leg not comb the top of someones hair.

    • @vladturbin7578
      @vladturbin7578 5 років тому

      Every serious practitioner has his preferences. My was always yoko kekomi and mae kekomi. In all critical and difficult situations I've always used those techniques, and they mostly worked, as stopping and knocking the opponent out at the same time. Keage always has less power and it's applications are limited. It isn't useless, it is just less universal, and so, it should have less space in different kata and kumite. It shouldn't be the main karate weapon for sure.

    • @JGTendero
      @JGTendero 4 роки тому

      @@vladturbin7578 kekomi takes more time to load and impact... the use of keage... the use that you can find as a practitioner.. for example it is useful to stop an oponent surprise rush. Remember that strength is not always the best option

    • @DGrieux

      @@vladturbin7578 There are many techniques in kata which are never used in a fight. What's your point? Should we also replace them?

    Sorry pressed the wrong button. Let me please continue...not this,not that, keage/Kekomi, etc...or what Association. Get off your arses and perform this Kata or another to this standard.... I doubt it. Comments based on training in Tokyo at The Takushoku Diagaku Dojo in '72 and 75 (four years.)

    gankaku no lleva yoko kekomi todas las patadas son yoko keagues. WKF siempre deformando a su pinta los katas y enseñando mal
