to hell with this franchise ,a indy company should program a game that looks like this shit ,by with beetter creatures, since they dont want to continue the franchise.
This is actually the only Rampage game I've played. Haven't played it since I was a kid, but I remember really liking it. I do remember talking to my assistant manager about the series since he seemed to really enjoy it. So much so that he told me he got drunk the night after we talked about it and went down to his basement at like 2 AM. When his mother asked what he was doing down there, he just grabbed one of the Rampage games and said "I'm going on a rampage!!".
This was the first video game i ever received after i got my first PlayStation 2. I remember spending hours upon hours playing this at my moms boyfriends house alone, I didn't get a memory card until later so if literally start the whole thing over and over again. Didn't care. Loved it. Brought it to every sleepover. Marco was my favorite.
Wh...sir, why the hell are you trying to grab a building? You PUNCH them. Good on you for figuring out the jump kick strat tho! ...Wait, the top time is just over 3 hours? Shit, I should submit my run!
I wish the Super Smash Bros. series has playable stages from the Rampage series with George, Lizzie and Ralph appearing in the background similar to the Metal Gears in the Shadow Moses stage, but they can actually attack the playable characters.
I still feel despite this game and the movie, Rampage could make a comeback. Make it like you said, 2D only or a 3D open world kind of thing, make it online, people would eat it up!
The Circus Circus arcade might be the best I've ever gone to. I haven't been in a while, so it could be completely different now, but when I went they had a lot of deep cuts that I had wanted to play for years but never saw anywhere, like The Ocean Hunter and F-Zero AX. I'll need to bring my Gamecube memory card if I ever go back.
Hey Matt just wanna say that I’ve been a fan since 2013 and I’m still loving the content. The consistency in quality is awesome and the edits are hilarious! you were a huge inspiration for me to start my own channel
Love this game. Beat this game. Unlocked all the monsters. Loved all the sounds bites, but "The End is Near!" guy was annoying. Final boss battle was a decent challenge.
Best thing about this game and its previous entries? The awesome OST. I especially love the main menu themes for Universal Tour and Total Destruction. The theme for Total Destruction gives me major Gremlins 2: The New Batch vibes.
Yeah, this one was rough, which was a real shame. Having certain monsters locked across different SKUs didn't help, either. World Tour's still the go-to for that pure Rampage experience, monotonous as that can be during marathon play. What was interesting with this one, however, is that each monster had some kind of passive skill, iirc -- For example, the bull could wind up running really quickly after a few moments of continuous movement.
I used to really like this game when I was young, it was fun playing with my cousin, although we were just dumb babbys back then. Also there was a character with my name, which was cool.
This game brings back fun memories. I would beat this game while playing different monsters. It's fun destroying buildings and eating people. I mean come on its Rampage.
I loved the games on GameCube back in the day. Not sure why they took this weird hybrid route with this one though. Either stay with the tried and true 2D gameplay or go the Godzilla Melee route and have a full 3D city where you can destroy building and fight other monsters.
I really ejoyed this game when it came out on PS2 but I always thought that War of the Monsters was the best Kaiju themed game at the time. Maybe that could be a good one for your "kaiju month" :)
When I bought this game used, it was so scratched up that the main game didn't work. I could only play the Arcade game and World Tour (which were included as a bonus) I was really annoyed at the time, but looking at this, it seems like I wasn't missing much.
there was a rampage on the ps2 i think. where you went through time. i think it was literally called Rampage Through Time, or something close. Also i hope we just get HD remakes or ports of the N64 games on the switch or something, would be nice to see.
I know this was cover a life time ago on Kaiju week I think, but I wouldn't mind a look back at War of the Monsters for Ps2. I have a lot of Nostalgia for that game.
It's really unfortunate that a new rampage game was canceled not once, but TWICE! To be fair, the character designs in both were ass so I don't feel like I'm missing out on much, but man I want a new entry in this series.
That's the thing about the Rampage games I kinda wish they made spinoff game that plays like War of monsters and Virtual on and I was an Atomic Mutant.
Is it a good game, objectively? No, it's really not. Is it a game I love and wish I still had? Absolutely. It's an ideal brain-off game, just mindlessly smashing stuff, but with a bunch of stuff to get for completion so you have something to work towards and get the feeling of progression while, well, rampaging.
Hey Matt! You should play the greatest monster game of all time! War of the Monsters for PS2! I remember playing that one for countless hours back in the day. You can even get an HD version on PS4!
Loved this game as a kid, sadly there'll probably never be another Rampage game
Especially after the movie was so bad
There is an arcade version that I've seen for the newer movie, it was at Dave an busters I believe
to hell with this franchise ,a indy company should program a game that looks like this shit ,by with beetter creatures, since they dont want to continue the franchise.
Grew up with it too, Would love if a new one came out
@@metroguevania Oh god, my brother was telling me about this. It sounded like a total wreck.
RAMsey, Matt
RAMSEY!
HE'S A RAM!
You know it's gonna be a good time when the first 8 minutes of the video is an impromptu tier list.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what kind of animal RAMsey could be

My son is also named Bort

I can feel the controller vibration when I see the buildings rumble
Rojo is actually Spanish for the color Red. It is pronounced Roho. So I guess he is a Spanish Bull since Bull fighting is popular in Spain.
Holy shit. I thought all of the characters at the beginning was a joke. I never knew they had more than like 3-4.
Yeah, I think it was about 30 characters for the gamecube version. Apparently the Wii version added 10 more
All the ones after Rhett are unlockable.
Yea you can download a Wii rampage rom and emulate a Wii controller to a Xbox controller so you can play without the stupid motion controls
This makes me nostalgic for the ps2 War of the Monsters
This really make me want a good modern kaiju game. It's been slim pickings for so SO long.
summoning salt edit is immaculate

After a certain point I thought the entire video would be him just going through the monsters.
Same here. *lol*
I'm just going to point out that Rhett is probably a Rodent of Unusual Size.
Did not come here expecting SPEEN, yet got SPEEN. That's a good day.
well this was a blast to watch, something about watching you play and talk about this game was fun and brought back some collage memories for me haha
In my opinion, "Eat Them!" On Ps3 is what a 3d Rampage shoulda been.
Is that still available??

Now would be a great time to do a remaster of the series.
I go to Vegas almost every year always hit the arcade under Excalibur got a marvel 2 cabinet

I played so much of this as a kid! Great video.
I think this is the first time I've actually seen this game in motion. Looks a lot better than screenshots.
Rampage: World Tour in the Midway Arcade Collection 2 is great.
The Summoning Salt music was gold, tho. Rampage:TD Any%, here we go!
They should've gave us way more cities to destroy.
I remember buying this game and selling this game within the same day
WHY YOU GOTTA TALK SHIT ABOUT MY BOY BUBBA LIKE THAT?!
I swear to god i replayed “Bort” like 17 times. I couldn’t stop laughing
Buildings overstuffed with crab meat seems less like something you'd find in San Francisco and more in Baltimore's inner harbor.
This is my personal favorite. I am fine with the movement and I understand the destruction. I love all the characters.
Haha thank you for all the old cartoon show references.
