- For our 15th project the Lab Band is excited to bring you the music of the Eagles. Rolling Stone writes, "Specializing in broadly appealing, masterfully crafted tunes, the Southern California band has sold more than 100 million albums. The 1976 compilation, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975, was the first album ever certified platinum and has sold 29 million copies in the U.S.” The band has five number-one singles, six Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, and six number one albums. We start each project by deciding on a set list, this was no easy assignment for the Eagles. We’ve settled on five timeless songs we feel represent what could arguably be called America’s biggest band. We hope you enjoy each one! LLB

goosebumps AND flashbacks...I miss those years...Don't we all. I am honestly a pretty critical musician with a gifted ear :) (but not such gifted hands :( I love how no one overplays...drummer inclusive...and no one stands out...Therefore, everyone STANDS OUT. Such unison and fluidity...Now that is teamwork...and no Ego's to pull things down...Glad you guys found each other. Just found you guys and I must say one of the best covers I have ever seen. Close your eyes and you are the Eagles. Same with the other covers of other bands you do. A great big thumbs up from Perth Western Australia. ps Where do you get the music from (chords etc)

Question Dale: How long/many rehearsals does it take to get a song down2 this level of perfection? In every performance, you guys play & sing like you've performed the piece a hundred times, right down to smallest details & nuance 2get it right - and nobody's reading off scores or sheets. How do U commit all this2 memory?
we work on the songs individually for several weeks - when we rehearse it's almost all the way there - we go over each song 3 times on the night we shoot the video.
You guys are so good. Almost as good as watching the real thing.

I was born 1988 yet this is one of my favorite songs, having highly influenced by my parents' love of music.
And yes I agree with others, this is such a great cover! Played professionally as if this is your original.
i love that this is one of your faves although you weren't around (no fault of yours) when it actually hit the waves - makes it even better than an old guy like me who had to listen to it! Maybe my fave from the Eagles boys - your friend, dale.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! The feeling of this song is in there, you weren´t just "playing" it.Awesome work in every respect -musical and vocals-. I would only say that Dale´s guitar (the silver tele) was a little bit down in the mix, the soloing was a litle bit down IMHO. I know this is not a song of loud solos, that´s not what I meant, hope you understand me. But as I said, the most excellent and perfect take on this song ever. You guys are great. Hi guys...first time listener of your music and not much I don't like but alot of things I do like...immensely. Firstly I don't like many cover bands, mostly because they try to copy literally everything. What I like about your covering of the Eagles in particular is not necessarily the notes of the music because it's not perfect but pretty Damn good. What I love is the fact that you do the song and lyrics bang on and what I don't see that makes it so YOURS is your artistic players do not try copying facial or body expressions of guys like Joe Walsh's bobbing of his head or Felders upper body hogging back and forth as well late in the song. Nonetheless...great job and I'm sure you guys are very happy with this work, congratulations on the great work!!

Wow! Did someone else engineer, mix or produce this one? Sounds a step above to me (from excellent to insanely excellent). The snare sound is amazing, really, wow. Someday, please to a behind the scenes video on the tracking and production.

+monkyman404 no cops! in fact i don't believe we ever even need a gun at rehearsals:) the gentlemen your asking about is Derrick and we love his singing - he moved to the other side of the world from us and sadly we don't have him close anymore - he flew in for this project - he's not a cop.
Great Stuff Guys .........To the Bass Dude ...... a very good player but in this tune if you listen to Randys' line there is no sustain .... probably using the built in dampers on his Ric ....... Cheers
