Kpop fans usually practice the dances so I’m assuming even though most don’t have formal dance training, they can still look like passable dancers. Also, the choreography doesn’t look too difficult so it would be easier for them to learn it.

@@magentamage yeah, i remember a few groups tried to include westerns (and i mean non-asians by that), but they were from small companies and almost no one knew about them, none of these were successful. besides, it happened some years ago when kpop wasn't as famous worldwide as it is now. that's why i think mnet made this show as an experiment, bc kpop is much more well-known now. i also read somewhere that SM plans to debut a group made by non-koreans, but idk if that's true

Even Koreans doesn't aware about UHSN, the members were popular and well known in Korea. Maria Leise is popular singer in Korea and she invited all popular TV shows like Knowing Bros etc.. Chiba Erii was in Produce 48 and she loved by Koreans because of her cuteness and now she is the center of latest formation of AKB48.. Deesee was in list Chandelier of beautiful person and her in UA-cam cover dance group, Luminance always got higher prised by Koreans.

I've originally was here for Erii because I loved her on PD48 and seeing her grow confidence on this show and project, I was so happy for her. Everybody also did amazing on this project too and they probably had a memorable time with doing this.

For all the haters : UHSN was Mnet project where they chose 10 girls from all over the world and they experience for one or two months the korean culture + trainee training and in the end they would have under an agency and final song. So its not an actual group

As a foreigner stan I would pick UHSN over kaachi because UHSN actually gives off that kpop vibe while kaachi just doesn’t give me that vibe because to me they just seem like western artists putting on a fake image just to be kpop idols.
PuppyLover and also UHSN went to Korea to train while Kaachi thinks they can be kpop idols just cause they have a korean member and that they “sing” in korean when they’ve never gone through the korean training process like UHSN did.

Not for very long but they trained officially for a short time at mnet/stone ent to release this song. mnet/ymc/stone ent, which produced both their song and their show is the biggest entertainment company in Korea which literally owns all the entertainment channels. It’s bigger than the big3 combined so they are qualified as kpop. Heck you can tell they’re legit cuz this mv was released by the official stone ent channel lol and they won’t release just anything.

I fought some people in this comment section that thought it was ok to hate on Kaachi. Like I think the only thing that was 'bad' was the fact that one of them shipped themself with Jungkook, like sis I know u do the same thing don't lie to me.
It's also the fact these girls were on a Korean show to learn about Korean culture and this was one of the projects. At first they had a lot of hate for it when this came out cause people didn't understand why they created this mv which was part of the show. Many people understood after but of course there were still people hating on these girls for a one time project. Besides that this production was good, they did it with a Korean company, song was catchy that it was even played in the Korean streets, and their Korean seems pretty good for others. Although for Kaachi's case I think people dislike them either cause they came out of no where, poor production, not people's taste in music, or cause of rumors. In my case I'm just not a fan of their music and their Korean is a bit off putting but hey they can do what they like.
Here's why this is more liked than Kaachi: The production of the song is better because it was not rushed. They trained. They have met all requirements to be a idol (Training vocally, dancing, and etc) this was made by a legitimate korean entertainment conpany
We don't even need to compare because this production is 1000000000 times better than Kaachis. It's like comparing the size of Russia and Vatican City😓

@@makatiea I know many people said that but comparing the MV with this MV or only the song and quality of the song UHSN are just on a whole other level. Kaachi is under a no name company and these girls released a song on the stone music channel😂 I don't hate Kaachi at all but the song has many moments were I feel uncomfortable(not the MV but the song itself) so I don't listen to it and if Kaachi brings a better song out with more training in singing and dancing and a better produced song, I would probably check it out.
Nela :p I feel the girls would do so much better as a regular pop group without the little bit of korean. If they practice the dance better maybe they would be in sync more they have to sharpen these details. Also there are covers who make the song sound so much better. the song is catchy it has potential. if their company frontrow put more effort into it then they would have a better debut and the backlash wouldnt be as bad in my opinion.

To clarify for those quick to judge: UHSN IS NOT A REAL KPOP DEBUT! These girls are members of a Korean reality show about teaching foreigners about Korean culture. In fact, these girls didn't even know that part of their participation was going to include creating an entire Kpop song/dance/MV, and all of this was produced IN FOUR DAYS. Yes, I get that it can feel cringey to watch foreigners mimic a culture that isn't there's, but this group is literally just some K-pop fans that wanted to learn more and took the excruciating time and efforts TO LEARN. Let them live, jesus, they aren't here to steal K-pop from the Koreans.

It doesn't feel cringey to me, and actually a lot of my Korean friends appreciated the concept of this group, only international fans are the ones with an apparent problem, which is stupid cause if the Koreans themselves don't mind, why are you making such a big hassle out of it? Yes they are pretty much all foreign girls, but they look up to kpop and wants to be part of it, there's nothing wrong with that. People always complains that there's not enough Asians in Hollywood, but isn't the concept the same with this? Maybe Americans feels that it's cringey to watch Asians mimic a culture that's not theirs? What about a those girls that wanted to grow up to be Beyoncé? As a Korean, I enjoyed watching this program. I can understand most of the Korean lyrics of this song without subtitles. I thank them for their efforts for their good pronunciation and results.
