    Hey Friends! This has been a highly requested video. I hope it has been just what you were looking for on your kit foundation hunt! Are there any other foundations you're curious about? Let me know in the comments! As you can see in the video, they both produce very similar results so I've collected data to help you determine a preference.

    Thank you. The syllabus says to get 3 cream foundations. 1 in my shade, 1 three shades lighter than my shade and 1 that is three shades darker. I am winter wheat so I am hopingthat the Warm #3 Graftobian will work. this was so helpful.

    I have been looking for this comparison for years! Thank you so much! How would you say cinema secrets compares to the two? I bought a sample of each to try out, they were all the wrong shades lol. Overall I felt like RCMA was the stiffer or less oily formula that would work on any skin type, cinema secrets was sort of the middle ground and an overall nice texture to spread around but it smelled really strange like baby powder or something which is almost unforgivable or me, and graftobian was very wet and spreadable but it felt really oily even on my dry skin. I’d love to hear what a professional like you thinks about all 3 comparatively in practical use.

    Thank you! I had been doing 15 party make up for years and weddings, and when covid started I just really thought that no one would need me (since UA-cam teaches all) I gave away the different foundation colors I had bought to my friends, and now I have a wedding, and I don’t want to buy a foundation!

    This was BEYOND HELPFUL!! I was buying the RCMA one, which I still will purchase so I can play with both and learn the quickest way to blend and color correct for bridal parties. Since I have one bride this week, I feel that using graftobian would be better and I can use a matte primer under and the mehron toner to help if she is oily. I'm so excited to buy both, now I'll have options and will save money in the long run too.

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ  2 роки тому +3

      I’m glad you found it helpful! RCMA is definitely still a great but just grab a mixing medium to go with it. Your plan to use a matte primer and mehron skin prep pro also sounds like the perfect plan! Make sure you don’t sleep on the moisture though when combining mehron and a matte primer. Congrats on your booking!

    Wooohooo! Thank you so much for the breakdown and making this video. It’s very helpful ❤️ I’ve already have the RMCA VK 11, gonna grab Graftobian too for comparison and as my spare foundation palette 😍 Any recommendation on eyeshadow palettes for starter kit? I already have the Viseart neutral matte 01 and a couple of the smaller ones too.

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ  3 роки тому +2

      Looovvvveee viseart! I always suggest making a custom palette from Mac as a beginner or some of their larger presage palettes. They really make it easy instead of having to purchase and depot so many palettes. Which ones you reach for will really depend on what kind of makeup you do, your clientele’s shade range, and undertone. Like many of my palettes are warm toned mattes, shimmers, and sheens but someone else’s may be very cool

    • @mizwonton7736

      @@TonieJ I love Viseart too and just started collecting them as well. As I am a new MUA, I’m still building my kit, I think most of my future clients would lean towards natural glam and every now and then bright colors but I think it’ll be unlikely. I’ll be in the suburbs in Wisconsin 😄 I’ll definitely look into a custom palette from MAC, thanks for the recommendation ❤️ hope you’re enjoying your stay in Japan! I always wanted to go, since I’m so close (currently in Vietnam but we’re moving back to the states next month)

    Thank you for this! Have you ever tried the Senna foundation palette? I'm looking between the Graftobian, the Senna or repotting William Tuttle foundations.

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ  2 роки тому +1

      Personally I would go with Senna over William Tuttle but it also depends on preference and line of work. I feel like WT can move around a bit in certain conditions. Great for beauty make up and “full beat” kind of looks but I’d go with senna or graftobian if you play in different areas of artistry (film, bridal, etc).

    • @ayla2790
      @ayla2790 2 роки тому

      @@TonieJ Thank you! Yes, WT is super emollient and I mostly use it for personal use. I'm looking for bridal type of work so I've been researching Graftobian/RCMA/Senna. Out of those which would you suggest?

  • @solsticequeen

    Since the RCMA is wax based...other than allowing my skin care to soak in for a good half hour, what's a good type of base/primer to use for this type of foundation so that it doesn't cause separation? I already planned to use my fingers to blend/melt it into my skin....just need to know if I need a thick heavy additional Moisturizer i.e. Nivea cream/ a silicone primer i.e. Baby Skin/ thicker primer i.e. elfs putty primer or porefessional/ or just go in with no primer after my regular water-based skin care soaks into my skin?

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ  2 роки тому +4

      I always recommend no primer unless you have excessively oily skin or dehydrated skin skin causes foundation to slip and slide. The aren’t going to give you as much trouble as a consumer focused water based foundation might

    Hello! Question: How do I get my rcma foundation pallet back to solid form after it cracking from being outside?

    • @TonieJ

      It dried out from the cold?

    What primer and moisturizer would you recommend for graftobian?

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ  3 роки тому +6

      I don’t use primer on dry skin clients because it’s essentially lotion. But on oily skin I reach for a simple silicone primer like danessa myricks. For moisturizer I go for Mac lightful, keihls ultra facial moisturizer, or Murad oil and pore control mattifier (for super oily skin).

    Hi , what is your foundation shade in the graftobian creme foundation or their foundation palette or do you have to mix shades ?

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ  2 роки тому

      Hi! I go in with about 3 shades from the warm palette. I never really look at names because I’m going based off colors.

    What aboute hygiene If you use ot on others ? Dobble dip ?

      You scrape a small amount of product out with a spatula and warm it up either on the back of your hand or a mixing palette.

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ  4 місяці тому

      No double dipping. Use a makeup spatula and scrape onto a metal palette or use a hand palette sticker
