Hey Bruce, always glad to see you! It’s kinda nice to see a guy artist who admits to being real and find that sometimes life gets in the way of our art. Glad you’re posting again. You do great work! Can’t wait to see how you finish that one.
Hi Barbara - Thank you! Your comments mean a ton. I just want my channel to be real and not glossed over......making time for art is hard in this world we live in now.
I stumbled on this fine video today. Glad I did. I wrote this before looking at any of your other videos because your tone and demeanor is what I can relate to. Needless to say I will subscribe as soon as I send this comment. Great inspiration. Looking forward to more. No pressure LOL.
Great to see you back and doing better. I hope 2022 is a great new year for you and filled with happiness and new adventures. Love seeing each and every one of your videos, I always learn something new. This one inspired me.
Hi Bruce. Glad you are back. I noticed something. The gunnel rail on the boat to my eye needs to move up to stop the boat from looking like its listing toward the viewer. Thanks for sharing.
Hi - Yes....I can see your point. Usually in these beginning stages, I'm more focused on covering the canvas with color and not am not terribly concerned with technical adjustments. The following sessions will gel with more focused attention on individual components, such as the one you mentioned.
Glad to see you back. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Here’s to 22!
Thanks. It's good to be back.... finding my mojo.

I’m just glad you’re back!
Thanks Mark.
So glad you're back with your videos. They are so informative and helpful.
Thank you, Jim.
Your long, straight brush strokes painting the boat highlight your skill set. Thanks for the frank talk too.
Thanks Thomas. It helped that the paint had just enough fluidity with the turps.

Totally agree with painting larger, in a big painting you can be inside that space more completely and for longer. And the impact is far greater.
Good point, Janice. Just trying to expand my skills.
Missed your videos as a fellow Mainer. Thanks for sharing your process. Happy New Year and happy painting.
Thanks Linda. I appreciate you watching the video.
Your work seems to convey a particular American lifestyle. Very nice. ;D
Wow, thank you!
