- Elliot plays an adventure game called eXit that Whiterose left for him on an old computer in order to stop the meltdown.
From Mr Robot Season 4 Episode 11 "eXit" Whiterose's men kill the FBI agents sent for Zhang, as she proclaims there is only Whiterose now. Elliot finds the Washington Township nuclear plant seemingly deserted. He activates his hack to destroy Whiterose's machine, but is found by Dark Army agents, who lead him past the slaughtered employees to Whiterose. They argue about the nature of people, hatred, and the world. Whiterose claims her machine will create a better world. Elliot says those who love him, even when he hates himself, make the world worth saving. Whiterose has already activated the machine, triggering a meltdown. She says Elliot has a choice and kills herself. Elliot plays an adventure game Whiterose left for him on an old computer, thinking he can stop the meltdown, but seems to be too late. He and Mr. Robot express their love for each other as everything turns red. In an alternate world, Elliot is upbeat and happy, CEO of AllSafe, engaged to Angela, and an only child, one with a loving relationship with his still-living father. Zhi Zhang is a beloved, wealthy woman known for her philanthropy. Elliot lands a major account with F Corp after saying he'll always stand with Tyrell, who is F Corp’s CEO. Elliot returns home, surprised to see Elliot in a hoodie, whom he doesn’t recognize, sitting at his computer.

@@davidpardo9067 at least in my interpretation the game's dillema could very much about his death. the choice between leaving him (fatally wounded) alone, and escaping or just staying with him as a friend and likely getting caught
@@robertonome2448 Ah I see what you mean. Dont entirely agree with it though mostly because of the name of the song when "friend" is zoomed in (404.3 My Sister) and, idk, never saw Tyrell and Elliot all that close, even towards the end.
I mostly think the game was designed to mirror Whiteroses past relationship and Elliot and Darlene's relationship. Warning him to not make the same mistake she did.
@@davidpardo9067 I read it as "leave" to the new world, or "stay" in the existing one. Staying in the existing world stops the machine, and thus the reaction.
I always took it as a reference to episode 1. The infected server’s note said “Leave me here.” Now that we’re near the end, the inverse is found.
Probably the best acting/storyline of all time... White Rose truly believes that she built a machine that spawns alternate realities, did it tho? Or was this all an illusion...

Same happens in real life, some half-crazy dude gets sponsorship for their ideas, they're building giant machines with all those lights and sounds, then it blows up so investors would never realise it didn't do anything related to their expectations.
So glad I was alive to witness this piece of television mastery. Easily the greatest show I have ever watched, and initially I only started watching it to hate on it but ended up falling in love with it and now it's an annual watch. I always rewatch the entire show from start to finish during December, synching the Christmas episodes with Christmas Day, it's like a ritual now lol

@@ewetwentythree I felt that the show was capitalising off of Anonymous at the time with all of the bus shelter advertisements festuring the Mr.Robot mask in my city. I figured it would be another cliche take on the hacking community...but I was pleasantly surprised and I am so glad that I was wrong to prejudge it.
The right answer was always to stay, thats why the room was extra shielded. Pretty sure he would have died, even if he got out directly after whiterose killed herself

Amazing moment;
This reflects two things in our *main characters* :
*White rose* Has regrets, all her plan, the machine, the manipulation, everything had one purpose, get back her dead "friend", and this game, at the end shows how she knew that it was impossible, the last sane act in her downfall to madness and desperation, with a clear message "don't make my mistake, don't leave your beloved ones behind."
*Elliot* Realize he walked the same path as White rose, he left people behind in chase of his purpose and objective, and this was the moment he accepts and realize the importance of the people you love, and accepts letting people get inside his heart again.
Extra: The "main" purpose of the game is clear, show how with determination you can get to this "new world", where your supose to find your belobed friend, but that's just the easy ending, not the cannon.

El juego es un representación del dilema que Whiterose enfrentó en su pasado, me refiero al tiempo que estuvo con su pareja.
En el primer curso de accion de Elliot en el juego, abandona a su amigo y consigue escapar y crear una realidad alterna; camino siguió Whiterose en su momento.
En el segundo intento, Elliot decide acompañar a su amigo y quedarse con él hasta el final, lo cual desactiva la explosión y salva a Elliot.
Whiterose le muestra a Elliot que valorar y acompañar a los que amas es el camino que debes abrazar, por encima de otras cosas que puedas poner por delante.

Does anybody remember the name of this game from the 80s??
It was a real game played on the old Commodore 64 on floppy disk. As I remember, it was pretty hard to solve. All it was, was green words on a black screen, and you had to figure out where you were how to move around , what happened, who was with you, what crime was committed, who the victim was and solve the mystery. There were no graphics whatsoever. And the only way you could find anything out, was by asking a question or choosing the answers that the computer gave you …and the computer lied to you sometimes as well.
why did she kill everyone in the building? why did she kill herself? If she was angry with him...why offer him a way out? what was the purpose of the machine?
