I’m going through the biting process with my new horse so this was really really interesting to watch & has given me some ideas for what she might like! Love your videos thank you! X

This was AWESOME! I am fascinated by the logic behind bitting, I love that you make sure they are in something they find comfortable- if you have to have a foreign object crammed into your mouth, it might as well be something you find tolerable, haha! Your horse children are very lucky!

I tried the DC Morgan on my boy who is very sensitive but also gets quite strong and I've never found anything better! He goes so, so nicely in it and I didn't even know there was an issue there until I tried it out!

I tried the dc morgan with my horse who's over sensitive to any type of pinching. He got the bit guard into his mouth...somehow. He also just doesn't like ports as they can pinch skin over his narrow bars. Hes in a single joint eggbut now. He takes a 140/5.5 for his lips but his bars are so narrow that if he had normal lip flesh he could take a 115/4.5 bit. He's a special dude. He was a whole crash course in bitting. Lol

Hi Amanda! Thanks so much for the super informative video! I just took on a very green project horse, and she is VERY sensitive to the bit (throws/tosses head, pulls at the reins, protests almost any movement/aid from the hand). I’ve been experimenting with different bits to see what she prefers. Currently I am riding her in a pretty thin loose ring French link as apprised to the thick barred double jointed snaffle she came with (to see if she prefers less in her mouth, although I worry about the pressure points this thinner bit puts on the bars of her mouth). She doesn’t seems to like or dislike the French link anymore than the thicker snaffle, yet she still isn’t too keen on any sort of contact/movement in her mouth (again she is still green as grass so I know this is also a learning curve for her in general). I am wanting to try her in a happy mouth bit, or wrapping her current French link in latex...any other suggestions for this oober sensitive greeny?? Thanks!!

Hugo loves his DC Morgan Dressage he has a small mouth for such a big boy & he’s very tongue sensitive, it’s the only bit I’ve tried (& you know I have a few bits... I have a bit of an obsession 😂) that he not only accept it he reaches for it, we love it 😊

Amanda many thanks for great info with your Bomber Bit choices. Could you suggest a choice for my heavy forehand Friesian ., some tongue relief would be good and also bar relief also. I thought the DC Morgan? As it gives a lot of choice for my big lad 17-1 + with how he might like it. But would love you opinion🙋🏼‍♀️.

Do you have any experience or advice for a horse that sticks his tongue out?? Only really a problem in the dressage. Tried loose Ring happy tongue and various other ported bits that has been advised to me but all to no avail! Very tired of having the extra marks added to the test just because of this!!
