    Thank you for all your videos! You got me started on my cross stitch adventure! I am impressed with your ability to deal with all the other “life” events. I’m sure I would have used the broom method to deal with the spilled beads. God bless you! Have you thought of making zipper pulls and scissor fobs with the jewelers supplies ?
    Thank you for all the time you give us!

    Thank you so much for watching you stitch on 28 count even weave. I have a very cute pattern that I wanted to try but I have not yet because I never knew what 2 over 2 meant and now I can see what you are doing and I can see that you are going over 2 threads with 2 strands of floss. Maybe I could do my project after all. Your project is so cute. I love Gnomes. Happy Stitching.

    Teresa, I have the same problem with my jewelry making stuff. It's all over the house, so this year, I thought I would try making beaded scissor fobs. I haven't used all of my staff, but I have very many (I think 320 is many) fobs finished and have decided to hand them out at Stitch-Con. Just a thought on what you could do with excess beads.

    Enjoyed the chat. The Gnomes are adorable and coming along nicely. I had to laugh, but totally in sympathy with your beading fiasco. I too have lots of beads and have had similar concerns about who I should give them too. I can keep some to do embellishing on quilts. Some of my quilting friends may like some. And while I was watching this video, a friend called wanting to de-stash her fabric supplies. We will be donating them to the Quilt Guild. The Guild will be having a Quilt Show and they feature a "New to You Boutique" where they sell members' de-stashed donations for a small price and use the funds to help cover the costs of the Quilt Show. I guess I could donate my excess beads there as well. Hmmmm. Just a thought.

    Also re eyesight - two pairs of specs is a very sexy look! But also your eyesight does change a lot. I have been through lenses with readers, lenses, readers and a magnifier, varifocals and now have reached a stage where I stitch with no specs or lenses and can’t see anything across the room until I put my specs back on! So hang in there and you may find that train stitching becomes easier.

    This is a SUPER cute chart, and you might be enabling me right now to locate it! LOL.
    Question for you Teresa, how do you setup your overhead camera for the stitch with me, please? I’m struggling for a camera angle. Thank you! 🥰

    • @TeresaLittleStitcher
      @TeresaLittleStitcher  Місяць тому +1

      For the overhead camera setup, My office desk is up against a wall. I have Ikea cubes attached to the wall above for storage ( not always pretty but functional. This allows me to attach my camera and boom arm above my workstation and plug directly into the computer. This set-up allows me to have an adjustable arm positioned directly above my stitching when recording or move to over the desk for recording updates and showing items on the desk. Lighting is also key, so I use Elgato key lights that can point at me or on the stitching to help eliminate shadows. I do plan to do a video on my recording set-up as this is a regualar question I get. I just need to find the time to do it 😃 I hope this helps! Happy stitching! 🥰📸✨

    I can sympathise with dropping several boxes of small items across the floor. The Cheshire Stitcher does a lot of bead work. She may know of the best places to sell any tools etc you may want to unload? Or offer some of the bigger beads to your new dressmaker for dance outfits?

    Love the gnomes so cute. I have a question I was taught to start my stitches going from right to left and then cross left to right , but I noticed you start left to right and cross right to left. Is there a right way to do it or just preference? From Canada. 🇨🇦

      I think the only real ‘rule’ is to have the top legs of your stitches all crossing in the same direction. Apart from that, I think find the best way for you. Happy stitching!

    I would keep the jewellery making tools but get rid of the materials like the big beads and clasps because if you ever want to do it again you just have to buy the materials not the tools but maybe keep some of the beads and clasps just in case and the flosstuber crafty lisa does jewellery making maybe check if she wants them

    I have a very strange question how do you. Work out how many skeins do you need if something says 1000 or even 4000 stitches I have a pattern I'm trying to kit big it says the same amount off skiens for both these what do I do

    • @TeresaLittleStitcher
      @TeresaLittleStitcher  3 місяці тому

      It is a difficult question to answer as it depends on how you stitch and what size fabric you stitch on and how many strands you stitch with.. Google Lord Libidan - on that site you will find some rough calculations for different types of fabric and ways of stitching. I believe there may be floss calculators out there in the web too but I haven’t used any myself.
