Subbed. Love the themed invasions and winning outside of the meta. It's very fulfilling to win within the confines of the build like a challenge. Much funner than watching PVP content creators just hot swap to every AOW.
Very nice video, lowkey thorn sorceries are my favorite, along with Rykard's flaming skull sorc (too bad that despite both being aberrant branches of sorcery that require faith, they don't synergize well at all and need different builds). Anyways, quick tip to my fellow thorn enthusiasts*: as of 1.09, the AoE thorn sorcery can by chain cast immediately after casting another spell while in the air. I like to use the quick glintstone spell, but there are a few others that will work. The timing is a bit tricky, but basically you jump, cast your lead-in spell at the height of your jump, then AFTER hitting the ground, cast the thorn spell. If done right, you get not only a significantly quicker cast than normal, but you also get some really nice hyper armor, which makes trading into people with it much easier and more effective, once you get the timing down. It's much quicker and less obvious than using the iron jar aromatic, although that's definitely still a must-have consumable for this build. *since patch 1.10 is releasing as I'm typing this out, it's possible that this is getting patched out, although I really hope it doesn't. It's an effective tech for an otherwise neglected class of caster that adds an extra dimension to the skill ceiling for pure faith casters, and due to its tight timing requirements It's never going to become an oppressive force in the meta or anything. Guess we will find out soon enough
Ah I’ve heard of that from the thorn sorceries but I’ve never put in the practice to get it done right haha, thanks for the tip should help me get it down better! And yeah I’m hoping this patch won’t make thorn sorceries worse they really don’t need that. Thanks for the comment tho mate great stuff!! 👍
This makes me wanna add these spells to my Sage character. I made a semi-lore based spellcaster called the Sage of Gelmir of which is a Int/Fai build. It's surprisingly good when I can cast all kinds of bizarre spell combinations. I'm curious how the spellbuff works for this particular sorcery, as I know it's a Faith requirement sorcery.
@@CondimentsIV Spellbuff, spell power of the tool, behaves REALLY weird for int/fai stuff or any other split scaling tool. Healing is a good example. On my int/fai build, healing of a Golden Order talisman only scales with the faith stat. So when the spellbuff says like 250 or something it's more like 125. It's a bit bogus IMHO. A lot of spells do this for some reason which makes the build sadly difficult at times as I'm doing a fraction of the damage
I hope people never learn to respect the thorn spells because it is my favorite when they don’t respect the fact they cannot roll out or into the a.o.e. Or they just let themselves get hit by the ground crawler. I still get mf’s by simply bating them close with the ranged then forcing the trade with a chain cast into the a.o.e. Works every time. I like using the chain cast with the jump-shoot spells to speed up the a.o.e cast when I can too. Still have yet to iron jar a whole gank though lmao

Nice video! We need more thorn sorceries in the dlc.
Thank you! Always appreciate it and yeah would love to see that
I agree. I'd love a lobbed projectile like the magma sorceries that explodes after a delay or something like crystal burst with thorny vines.
Dude the quality the god dam video quality is so beautiful I almost cried I am subscribing!!!
Thank you mate! Your a legend for the sub, hope you enjoy the videos to come!

Thank you mate appreciate you for that! It is more of a challenge to use builds outside the meta but your right, more fulfilling!
Also I dig the name. I too enjoy my chick fil’a sauce by main lining it as well.

@02:05 was brilliant 👍. I was wondering how effective a thorn sorcery build would be. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Thank you man appreciate it! And yeah It’s a fun and different sorcerer build!
Never used those sorceries... Those are sweet against gonkers! Can t wait to try .
Loving you re videos due
Thank you mate I appreciate it! And yeah they can work wonders against gonkers in small rooms, it’s feels great haha
been binge watching your vids! Nice creativity on the builds! I know you don't BM but that fog waller really deserved a tbag lmao
Thank you man appreciate that a lot! And yeah I rarely do a tbag only for those who deserve it lol
Love the build and video, I also used a thron build at some point but you really make me wanna make another for fun.♥
Thank you man appreciate it a lot! First time I really put effort into a thorn mage build and it’s extremely fun!
great video, always cool to see off meta stuff used effectively
Thank you man I enjoyed making this one so glad you liked it mate!
Amazing I love these and wish there were more sorta like the moves the enemies that use these spells have like the big thorn swing
Thank man for that! And yeah I agree that attack is too cool not to be a spell we can use haha
just a thing to note, Instead of the bull goat talisman, could have grabbed the magic scorpion charm since the thorn sorceries do magic damage.
Yeah thanks bro, always willing to change up the build and try new things with it! Thanks man!
The range on briars of punishment is crazy….
Yeah it’s mental especially you can see it on that invasion at 14:38
Definitely gonna try that build, subbed
Thank you mate appreciate it!
Nice invasions
Thank you mate appreciate that! Always fun glad you enjoyed!

Good creative builds here but I’m not sure I’m curious as well mate!

Holy smokes
Good damage yeah? Haha

Yeah man people are confident to rush these spells works great in the thorn’s favour haha and thanks was a good iron jar 3v1 haha
5:59 deserved so badly.
Oh definitely! Thank you man!
@@CondimentsIV you are welcome
If elden ring was possible in real life life would be worth it
Yeah a real life Elden ring would be cool I’ll be honest haha
I think Albinauric staff is better when you use thorn magic. Because of bleed
I’m mainly going for the damage out the thorn sorcery not the bleed so I didn’t level arcane so the 2 thorn staffs get that damage! Thank you mate!
1:47
Nice!
Thank you bro! Love that 3 man kill haha
Please put your build in the intro so we can get how your build work and watch.
Yeah I can switch it up in some video’s definitely.
It doesn't even have to be at the beginning, I think just putting the timestamp of the moment the build is shown is enough
The builds will always be at the end but I’ll put timestamps in the description and at the start of videos to make it easier 👍
Dont the thorn sorceries scale with int?
If you use the staff that boosts thorn sorceries then it will scale off faith and intelligence!
Oh boi. Dedicated gankers never know how to dodge.
Exactly man they are not good players, they think they are when it’s always 3v1 haha
@@CondimentsIV best part is if you us3 a crutch or win regardless they gonna cry
Yeah you’re so right! Always a pleasure to beat them!
