A Tiki Room bird as an animatronics learning platform is an *amazing* idea. I feel like homebrew animatronics has huge untapped potential, and I admire the few people currently doing it.
Just to let everyone know the gentleman speaking is not the actual Gardner Holt, he is an animatronic. Just amazes me. !WOW!

Im just imagining how much my friends and I would lose our minds over a owl, crow, or raven animatronic kit. Id definitely wire it to some sort of digital helper back end and I just get to have a talking crow answer questions for me or wake me up and just be generally chatty. Or even better something intentional robotic or clockwork like Clash of the Titans Bubo.

5:34 We've come full circle. When ILM made the dinosaurs for Jurassic Park, they used modified puppets armatures (called the Dinosaur Input Device) to drive the CG animation. Now, 25/30ish years later, these guys are using CG animation tools to drive robotic puppetry. Wild.
Garner Holt Productions. Was there a few weeks ago for a tour and stood right next to Grogu in various forms of production and fully built and running. Garner has an amazing story and a cool collection of Disneyland vehicles.
Animatronics could not be a more perfect encapsulation of the concepts of STEAM! Absolutely brilliant to bring this into education.
I'm interested in reading "the book" on animatronics but if Garner Holt wrote a book, the internet has yet to hear about it.

I wonder how much of the animatronic technology can be applicable to helping people with disabilities? I think it would be applicable in a wide range from assisting with communication to amputee.

From the left side of the Nickelodeon booth walk up the aisle and you'll eventually see it toward the back across from Crunchyroll. Or if you're coming from the back you'll see EFX across from Tokidoki. Garner Holt around the other side of EFX since they are the same booth number

I would buy a Grogu animatronic for my own personal use and place it on inside of my backpack (while I'm biking) and it peaking in and out of it. I bet motorists will be looking at me on the road and be amazed
