Hi Guys! I've just set up a "buy me a coffee" page! I don't earn anything for doing my tuition videos. I do them to try and do my bit to help out the gypsy jazz guitar community. But they do take a lot of time to plan, edit, record etc. If you enjoy my videos, any support would be really appreciated!
Join professional jazz guitarist Lewis Kilvington in this in-depth tutorial as he shares his most effective techniques and tricks for developing your improvisation skills in Gypsy jazz. Learn how to incorporate stunning licks and techniques into your playing to captivate audiences and deliver confident gig performances like never before.

Recent review... "I have been having online guitar lessons with Lewis for around six months and he has really helped me improve my playing. I have previously tried to learn from You Tube videos and other guitar courses but nothing is as good as having a personal tutor who can tailor lessons to suit your own needs. It is also a great way to keep motivated and achieve targets. Lewis is an excellent teacher and a great bloke. He is patient and enthusiastic and makes learning fun. I would recommend him to anyone wishing to improve their playing." - Patrick Slater

What is improvising then?!?! It typically is licks, especially with the Dutch DJ players.
Haha! Good Question. Yeah most of the top Dutch players have a hugeee library of licks that they use at their disposal. For me alongside using the licks as "gypsy jazz language", it's about what you do in-between these licks that makes them stand out even more. If you just play lick, lick, lick etc. It sounds really robotic. The top players are so good at improvising in-between the licks.
