#01 First Training Flight With Karachi Aero Club Including Cockpit and ATC Audio

- Departing OPKC 25R in beautiful Karachi weather just after rain showers in a Cessna 150. The AP-ALU made a Right 180-degree turn to head for steel mills followed by a short camel ride, slow flight, steep turns, avoiding birds on the approach path to a landing on RWY25L. Vacated via delta for a taxi back to Hamilton. Enjoy the views just like we did!
That lady is an excellent flight instructor! and I like the way she was explaining the flight training procedures
She is indeed gem of an instructor. She was my Pre-Solo instructor and I learned a lot from her.

I lived in Karachi for a few years but never flew there. I started flying once I moved to the US. That led to me as an engineer getting involved with light aircraft design and designing trikes, small airplanes and gyroplanes (rotorcraft) and obviously flying in all 3 categories as well. C150 is an old spam can design but a good standard trainer. Best of luck in your journey. Wear some headsets though. Your hearing is going to suffer if you don't. Getting from A to B in an airplane is riding the bus. The real joy in flight is when you fly something just to catch the scenery. Cheers from Florida. My God! I can’t believe this aircraft ALOO is still flying I gave my CPL/IR renewal check in the year 1989. I retired as Airbus A320 Captain after a total of 33 years of service🤔

Sir, I did my solo on ALU. It is still doing great which is a testament to good maintenance of the aircraft.
It couldn't be AP-ALU. This seems to be a newer version of Cessna 150...notice the instrument panel.
The lady is a good ( professional) instructor. Reminds me of my first flight (air experience) early 1977 Lahore Flying Club ...😊

Great video, one thing to point out that I'm surprised others haven't, the attitude indicator should have been addressed and fixed on the ground prior to departure ( in my opinion), which I'm not sure why it wasn't. It's not required for day VFR flying in the US and I also assume for your countries as well, but, as a licensed pilot myself, I would not fly with a faulty instrument such as the attitude indicator, as it brings risk that could've been eliminated and part of our "jobs" as aviators is to detect and eliminate (or mitigate), as much risk as possible to be the safest we can be, not only for ourselves, but for others too. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing you in the skies!

ALU is still alive great memories from 2003 to 2007 worked on AP ALU and AP BBS. We also repainted AP BBS at that time but unfortunately at that time Flight operations of KAC was not operational. We worked under our beloved Chief Engineer Mr. Noor Muhammad (Late), Senior AirCraft Technician Mr. Bux Sahab (Late) and Mr. Barkat Ali sahab.

Interesting video … as a Student Pilot from UK I have noticed there are a lot of differences in procedures and checks.

Flew with Pindi flying club and after a big gap with Schon Air. Karachi Flying Club used to be closed in those days. Flying slightly bigger aircraft with green trails now. She's confident. We'll done

40 hours of flying required for PPL.
41500PKR/hour on Cessna 150,
42500PKR/hour on Cessna 152,
49000PKR/hour on Cessna 172.
Plus, approximately 500,000PKR for Ground glasses, license issue, medical and exams.
These figures are estimated, please check with the flying school with current information.

2) It was unserviceable and we continued because we were supposed to be on VFR mission. AI is functioning now.

Age Limit for Flight Training: Must be greater than 18 years, no upper limit however student must be able to acquire and maintain class 1 medical.
Qualification: Intermediate or A Level for the issue of CPL.
To Join: Visit a flying school.

Probably Whims ..... In this part the world; since visibility generally remains okay so in VFR regime; the aviators hardly bother about attitude indicator; i guess. Furthermore, planned flight profile is generally straight n level .....😊
@@rayrider4518 yes of course.. but flight attitude indicator is very easy to understand as compared to IFR specially when taking turns and at banks
