Hey Shawn we hope everything went well with your Mother she's a friend of my Mom's and wanted you to know you are all in our prayers!
Oh really we really appreciate the prayers. Who is your mom?
My mother's name is Lora and they go to church together.
I really enjoy those big leaf jobs. I lived in CT and NJ and did it all by rake. Best part was our kids running through and jumping in our huge leaf piles. I still hear that sound in memory.
I also picked up some drinks at the gas station recently. $2.82 for a 16 oz Diet Pepsi!! So now I Pack a cooler, pack lunch. Makes a difference at the end of the week! But seriously, I can't believe that is the cost of a soda! great video! I wish I had you in NY when I spent 6 hours manually raking! I have no lawn equipment yet at this new home! Thanks!
Yep. I always take my own lunch and drinks with me. Some of these guys spend Easily 20 a day on stuff. 600 a month
Wow! Way to get the job done. Of course with very dry leaves comes a lot of dust. And that means making sure that cooling air intakes and air filters aren’t getting blocked. It’s dusty work and I used to do a lot of it. I always felt like it would take a long time to get all the leave dust off me.
TQ, just thought I give a quick shout out to you and Shawn, that my husband and I are about to start our own landscaping business up.. He already knows everything of the ins and outs on running every piece of the equipment, I am knows the zero turn, back pack blower and so he said he is going to send me up to you guys so I can get trained on the weed eater & edger... My husband said while up there Shawn can help learn more on UA-caming . Once we get started I will be doing the paper work and billing process and "business " as well as getting my hands dirty. You guys are an inspiration. Thank you.
The shorter the grass the better the leaves blow. I cut everything down to 2.5 inch the week before cleanups here in Ontario canada. Started cleanups today actually. Got 3 done.
Out of all the companies out there I watch it seems you have one of the most productive systems. Those Toro ride on blowers and leaf plows plus the leaf trailer make the two of you equal to 6 people with a stihl BR800 blower and no leaf plow. Just an estimate. Very impressive.
You might consider wearing dust masks while running the vacuum system. Last week I inhaled a bunch of leaf dust while mulching dry leaves. Afterwards the "snot test" was a fail and then I coughed for the next three days. I suspect that there were mold spores mixed in with the leaf dust... Who knew that cleaning up leaves would present such a hazard!
Hey Spencer's just wanted to let you know there was a guy that said he put in water wells in for 40 years and he said you should vent them so natural gas don't build up and explode. Just giving a heads up just incase you don't have a venting system on the one you covered up.
That area leads into the basement where is it open and vented. Thank you for that though
No problem just seen his comment and didn't want something to happen.
Praying for your mother Sean hope she’s in good hands god bless you guys I learn alot from you guys
We go in, do all our cutbacks, perennials etc, then blow the property all to either the woods or the debris loader, load it , mow and go.. I’ve found mowing prior chops all the debris up and makes it harder to move around..
Hey Shawn when you put that bagging system back on did you remember to move the deflector on the deck? Been noticing a lot of blow by.
My favorite time of the year. These types of videos is the reason why I subscribe to the channel
In our part of the country we use leaf blowers to blow snow off the sidewalks and out of tight areas and parking lots were plows can't go like in between parked cars. I bet that blower on the front of your mower would do an amazing job at blowing snow off those sidewalks and parking lots
Well done 👏✔. Blow by, quick fix. Bristles from and old broom, they will not allow leaves to escape, plus the Bristles won't damage lawns. The toro set up is what I use also, to move mountains quickly I use the plow. More controlled, and less fuel n noise. Love your channel thank you from 🇨🇦 👊😎👍
Hi Shawn,
Have a suggestion for you. Inside you leaf trailer at the head of it where the leaves are eroding the aluminum, consider installing a piece of 1/4" Lucite (Plexiglass) would take the abrasion. It would only need a 1/4" bolt in each corner and would be easily replaceable. Best Wishes.
BTW, TQ has pretty eyes and a wonderful smile! Lucky you.
Enjoyed the leaf cleanups!!! Have a great evening!
Glad you did thank you
Every time I watch your videos I think of how much I could use that leaf mulch for my garden and chicken run and coop.
Mulch kit on the Scag is the quickest least expensive way to handle leaves. I do it every day. I had a bagger on a Ferris but had nothing but problems and it took a lot longer.
Looks like you could use some kind of Rotating adapter on the nozzle or the shredder intake to allow less binding in that hose.
We also use snow shovels on the leaf piles to save on snapping the plastic rakes.
with the amount of dust that leaf sucker puts out you should have a different cover for it and maybe have a vent somewhere on the cover for a filter.
Love the start to finish cleanups
Thats awesome glad you like it
Nice Job..👍🏼
I wish you show lawn care company in Northern Suburbs of Illinois how it’s done right..!
Most don’t have leaf 🍂 vacuums trailer systems like you have .. They mulch what can blow rest in street…
Hey Spencer’s, it sure is pretty cold, just broke out the heated blanket, it sure is nice n toasty lol. Tomorrow is the last day of school then he teachers convention is Thursday and Friday so on those days i have lawns. I’m sue two will be leaf cleanups but one lawn will be the final cut. So yes, my season is deffinatly starting to wind down a bit. I would say by December 1th i will be finished for the year. But from April to December is not bad, and that’s spring, summer and fall. So I’m sure i made out great. Have a great night, prayers for you and the family
did one of my clients first and last leaf clean up of the season. 4 hours long. we had a wind storm knocked all of his leaves and his neighbors leaves off their trees good thing is it pilesd up against the fence. bad news is a had quoted for the few days prior. i broke even. but didnt make profit. live and learn.
Great video Shawn, TQ and Tyler, I am sure loving fall clean up videos! It’s just interesting how someone’s else attacks a job!
Shawn you guy's should invest in some dust mask. I have Lung issue from breathing dust and dirt. As a mechanic for37 years trust me it's no fun when you try to. When I mow my yard and get leaves up I have to use a paint respirator. Just watching you guys makes it hard to breathe. I'm 68 years old and wish I had taken better care of myself. Just don't want you and TQ and Tyler to have problems later in life. Keep up the great work.
I'm glad I live in Texas I don't like those cold finger tips. We cut our grass on a 2 here in the Spring and will mow every 4 or 5 days. With the rain and sun it will grow pretty fast. Especially those weeds and clover. We keep mowed that short in the spring so all the weeds and clover can't flower. It helps us get rid of that stuff so we don't have to poison it to much to get rid of it.
You guys are the most efficient crew yet! I learned a lot!
Also, definitely looks like you need to utilize some of that rubber mat material I was telling you about in my video to create that dome.
good job, I have seen others who have some sort of wheels on the bottorm of handles on the hose seems to make it a little easier to handle and control.
this is an awesome leaf setup!!!
Better than the Oklahoma juggernaut
Thought of you Kevin when watching this. First time here.
Agreed!
I wonder if it's the same deck Vacuum Savannah usually has on her Stander and they put it on the sit down.
Its a nice set up but I think you are way more efficient when doing leaves. Seems like if they had 3 back pack blowers it would go smoother. Blow it out to the front mulch it up and then suck it up at the road
Im not sure why but i love vacuuming leaves. Extreme efficiency of extremely satisfying! Have a great day!!
Hey Shawn, replace that chain on the chute, with a large spring, will make it easier, and take some of the work off of you, will make it easier to swing and scoop to, and give you more stretch with your hose!! Great job!! Love the videos
Good idea, Maybe a garage door spring.
I should get into leaf clean up, I pick up leaves after folks put them on the curb anyway for mulch and compost. I'd do all that work with my battery mower and hand rake for free. It'd take me a bit longer to do though.
1st hope your mother is doing good . TQ is a natural on that vacuum note sure that big blower on the multiforce is worth it on these smaller properties. will be great on the big ones like the church etc.
2 baggers would be a big improvement. you could then be vacuuming as the leaves are brought out to it instead of making a huge pile that is hard to reach with the pipe
My guys have someone with a pitchfork helping to feed the vacuum when they grab the leaves
Also at the beginning you were mulching leaves into the grass because your bucket was full or shaft blocked
You make it look so easily. It helps with the right equipment. Thanks. All you mowers start so fast I have an old craftsmen riding mower and it takes forever to start. Is there anything that would help?
Speaking of insurance. Make sure ALL your equipment is listed on the policy. A farmer here on UA-cam recently had a tractor burn. He THOUGHT it was insured. He neglected to add it when he bought it. $70,000 loss
Looking like you’re getting rid of all the kinks,& developing a good system at each property. It’ll get easier,& smoother as time goes by. Job well done SLC. Have a great evening & stay safe,& warm. Prayers for your mom,& family. Stay positive,& strong.💯❤️👍🏾🤞🏾🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
You're a lucky man to have a good hardworking crew and great equipment and you look like you're in an area that can afford the services...Good landscapers are like hens teeth in my area; near philly...
The leaves are good fertilizer for the soil. I always leave them on the ground at my place.
Lookin good in those 40x30 black wranglers from Walmart I wear them everyday, excellent work also
I would put mulch kits on two of the Grandstands, turbine blower on the one and be done with it
I'm looking at leaf blower mulchers and vacuums right now with attachments to go straight into a can but they're electric. So I'd be limited and where I could travel with the machinery. Watching this I keep going back and forth to Amazon because you are costing me a fortune! 🤣🤣🤣😁😁🥴🤣
I like that leaf catcher and how it unloads the leaves.
That mower is blowing alot of leaves out the front/right side. I noticed as you were going over the mass of leaves that it was blowing alot over the area they had just cleaned up. Just my thought.
Ok at the end of the video it wasn't. I dont know if you made an adjustment or what happened. Great cleanups!
Yeah at first we keep the deck up some because of the amount of leaves and the grass was long as well then we lowered the deck
Hi friends enjoyed this show Mrs Spencer Sr prayers for a speedy recovery you'll feel tonnes better just rember to give yourself time to heal have a day love from TEXAS
You have a good smooth working team there. Makes the job a little easier. Really enjoyed the video. You didn’t leaf anything behind. Sorry that joke really blew. Lol I was just trying to branch out my jokes.
Need to turn your suction hose 360 degree counter clockmizes and support the hose in the middle a little bit
So I just did my own yard today, and was telling my neighbor how good of an investment my backpack blower was. Sat down to watch this as I ate and found out that ride on blower exists. You guys' setup makes me feel so inadequate now.
The leaf vacuum is a winner for sure.
got to love that comfort ride system on that sit on mower when you show it from the front you can really see it working good
I loved all your videos there all are awesome hows your mom hope all is well ill pray for her nice work great job have a good nite ttyl guys bye
Mom is doing good
Awesome job and great equipment for the jobs keep up the great work u r blessed.....
Excellent! I love how you used a combination of backpacks Toro blower, mowing, bagging and vacuuming! There was not a lot of "blowing" involved and all you needed was backpacks on that one job. Please takes notes: This is the textbook example of how to properly do leaf cleanups. GREAT JOB!
About how many average lawns can you fit in your leaf trailer? This is our first year with a leaf vac and trailer and I'm wondering how much I can fit with it being 8.50 a yard to dump
I am very impressed by your team. Your attention to detail is excellent. Makes me wish I lived in Ohio... I would definitely hire you guys. Thanks for the videos, I enjoy watching them.
I didn’t know he lived in Ohio and I’ve been watching for some time now! He’s not even far from me either! Might call and see about getting a job
That’s some serious leaf clean up equipment! I have 2 acres and usually takes an entire 8 hrs over 2-3 days to clean up leaves with my leaf back pack blower! If I had your equipment I could get it all done in a couple hrs! 😅
How far over onto the neighbors yard to clean up leaves do you go if the tree is clearly on your customers property? It is the only tree in back yard. Not sure if I should clear all the leaves. Thanks for feedback
We just do the customers property. we have been yelled at too many times for going over property lines
We never clean up neighbors yards. If it’s a windy day we mulch the leaves and then trac vac the lawn if needed. It helps prevent leaves from inadvertently being blown to a neighbor’s lawn.
Thank u ms spencer for coming to get us , u figured we couldn’t see nothing from behind that big tree 😂
😂😂😂
Awesome job you all do. Keep up the excellent work. Always be safe out there.
Yes enjoyed the leaf cleanups immensely!
Take care!
Loved it. Hope you'll show us when it is time to empty the trailer of leaves.
Just wondering if you would have dumped the leaves right there beside the grass onto the street would it have been easier for the leaf collector and less need to rake towards the end. I don’t know if there’s a law against dumping on the streets there or not. Just a thought.
Yessss, leave clean ups are my favorit!esspecially the goat tube.
How do you keep your debris loader from bending your trailer door.? We run a similar setup with the same debris loader however our trailer door is constantly bending and needing repaired.
you have to kick the hose plus the swing chain is not on when you swing the hose back and forth it helps the material not get stuck
Best wishes an prayers for family....that ride on blower ain't no joke..looks like its strong!!
hey, over near Youngstown, where do you dump the trailer? Landfill, farm...?
I wear mechanics gloves from Harbor Frieght when hooking and unhooked my trailers with no issues. Give them a try if you haven't.
Spencer. Just thought I'd let you know that the H in vehicle is supposed to be silent
Just enjoyed these leaf clean ups on the replay: you all are great & are fantastic mowers & leaf cleaner uppers. Lol sorry for the off the wording. Great work everyone! See you next time. God Bless you all!🇺🇲✌🙏💕
Trees finally turning here in va . Finally high temps in the 50s. Im ready for winter time.
Hey Shawn hope your mother is doing well and I have a quick question I run my own lawn care company and would like to pick up another backpack blower and would I be better off with a stihl and a redmax
We hope and pray that all is well with your mom and family. Leaves have started to fall here in Oklahoma. Now if the rain would stop.
I will say I much prefer my rear mounted leaf rake rather then using my mowers baggers. It's just a nightmare to clean all that leaf debris off the mowers not to mention breathing that crap sucks worse then smoking a pack a day. Lol I am curious how you feel about the toros compared to other equipment. I've been thinking bout ditching my deere zero turn for one.
Incredible! Love it! Do you clean up...some later dropped leaves in December? On nice days? 👊
Really love the direction your channel has gone. Keep it up these videos man. Definitely my favorite lawn care you tuber to watch
How often will you do leaf pick up, cause there was a lot of leaves left on trees & will eventually fall & make a mess. Also, I've used those leaf pick up machines on mowers, & when leaves are wet they clog up a lot, do you have those problems?
Shawn I hope that your mom is doing good and you and Tq and Tyler are always in my prayers, God Bless you and your family and friends and be careful and safe
I love these vids, Very calming for some reason. Hope your mom's doing ok, Praying for yall from Kentucky.
She is doing well!
One thing that is nice about an enclosed trailer you can go to the bathroom in it
😂😂 true
Whew that is a lot of expensive equipment for the short leaf season. Definitely does a good job though.
can you please tell me what bagger system is that or did you fabricated it yourselves? brilliant!!!
Does the leaf sucker also reduce the size of the leaves to increase truck capacity?
Cheers from Canada.
I'm crying from that bagger release you have on the Toro. We have a Husq with three clothe baggers that are a nightmare to empty. It's all by hand and takes a lot of time, especially when doing cleanups. I am telling my boss about this bagger immediately. Is this a special bagger for cleanups or do you use it year round? It would be hard for us year round since we have to put grass clippings in the truck.
Keep on making that money next level hey Sean should you add two more cones to your the length of your vehicles that way people can see them oh and another thing keep the videos, I'll be watching
What do you do with the leaves after you vacuum them up? How do dispose of them?
Shawn,, Paint some Eye's on the end of the Metal Nozzle,, Call it the Debri Eater
😂😂😂
@@SpencerLawnCare or devil shredder since it shreds leaves!
I want that vacuum trailer.... Very cool setup guys!
I got to see one of those live outside my kitchen window that vacuum cleaner cleaned a whole large lawn full of leaves in less than 15 minutes. Impressive.
What so you do with all the leaves and grass you get? Do you mulch it or take it to a landfill?
You should mount a fire extinguishers on mower and blower. And trailer!
We have one in the truck
@@SpencerLawnCare just thinking about what you said. Fire would be bad with leaves, gas and oil.
We trailer our multi force sideways on the trailer. Let the nozzle hang over the side. Takes up less room
Could you leave the tube on the arm it hangs from and just move that back and forth while picking up the leaves?
Our tow behind leaf vac has two of the straps and chains on the hose. It works alot easier. Ideally the end of the hose points down and is supported by the boom. We have several places that each fill the whole truck up similar in size to Sean’s. It beats you up if you have to wrestle the hose around all day.
I don't know what's more satisfying leaf clean up or fixing an edge making it nice and clean. What's yours
So how many hours did you put on the Billie goat last year I’ve got the same one and got it last year as well and only managed to rack up 14 hours on the clock it just sucks the piles up so much faster then the old 18hp that I use to run most of the time I no sooner get it going then we’re done keep up the work looks great
First time watching this show... as soon you said "north/east of Ohio = Subscribed !!
