- Pulling the old "rusted not busted" Super M at the tractor show in Ridgetown ontario, July 31 2011. ended up in 3rd place behind a Farmall 450 diesel and a MM G750. The original style muffler sounds awesome! I can't go back to cheapo mufflers anymore! haha

Good day. When we were on farm, we had super W-6,264 cu in. In 4th gear it could really lug. Look up Nebraska tractor test, Farmall super M I think had 382? torgue, I hd a book told torque to hp, that 382 developed 70hp. Now I think 400 tractor develops a little more, because carb. jet is a little bigger? I am surprize that they don't lug longer on other tractor pulls. THanks

What gear is that in I'm debating putting my super m in a dead weight pull and want to know the best gear to put her in to get the best power.
1st gear. The Supers have faster 1 through 4th than the old M.

I am a fellow puller in my area, and we both know that the most power dont always win. Its all about knowing your tractor and how to run it.
