Always like your rundowns on the tackle you use as you're a nice practical sort of bloke who keeps it simple, affordable and real which to me was always the essence of fishing. Blokes like my grandfather and great uncle were top fisherman but their gear was nothing flash - it was more about how the used it, knowledge of how to fish freshly caught baits with just enough lead to present them naturally and letting the fish hook themselves rather than striking early and missing a good fish.
@@letsgofishing3249 Always enjoy your videos, Ed. You got me thinking about beach fishing and the great effect it has on your mental heath - the crashing waves, the soft cool sand underfoot, the beautiful changes of light early in the morning and late afternoon, the great solitude and peace you find in the environment and of course, the anticipation of the rod buckling over in your hands and connecting to a good fish - gotta love it!
i once had the same problem with tailor on lures - changed up to ''setting the hook'' with 3 good ''strikes'' of the rod once they are hooked , to set the hook well and truly deep into em - never had a problem again!

Your spot on with what you said. A lot of fishos these days spend a load of money on gear and miss out on the basics. Always like your comments👍
