    Great vids, thanks for showing the H3t some love, we're still out there hitting the trails.

    The torsion bars are torqued the same amount with either key. The new ones just index differently for the bolts.

      Why is that hard for people to understand

    • @highcountrystories
      @highcountrystories День тому

      They just clock the A arms to a steeper angle but without maxing out the twisting torque of the bar.. but you really need a 1" diff drop so your CV joints aren't maxed out..

  • @weeks350
    @weeks350 5 місяців тому +1

    The torsion bars are twisted just the same with either key. your factory shocks are what’s limiting travel and adding unwanted preload.

    Really should have looked into the Badlands Industries kit. It corrects you front geometry by lowering the diff and ball joint spacer so you’re not blowing out cv’s all the time.

      Thanks for the input Jacob, we will look into that kit as well! We have not run into any issues with the H3's that have been running this zone kit but not saying that the right conditions have hit the those trucks yet to cause that issue to happen.

      for the Hummer H3?

    • @highcountrystories
      @highcountrystories День тому

      I think badlands lifts it a little higher maybe.. but the diff drop definitely helps.

    So cranking the stock bars vs cranking the bars to the same height with a different angled key changes the ride? Not so sure on that one.

      Exactly.

      It's just the Shocks that smoothed out the ride cause the t bar is still cranked just an aftermarket key, no difference from stock. My H3 has 245,000 miles with the stock keys cranked and is still going just fine except for the factory Shocks are stiff as hell

    Question for you guys, have you ever found a tuner/programmer for the H3's that works for 2006 + models like the one that was in your previous vid about the H3 SUV? Please let me know! I'm still looking at putting 35" tires on mine, and new torsion keys.

    I’m seriously looking into investing in the Fox Shocks, but they show on the description to have the limited ability to only handle 0-1in. of lift. Where as the H3 and H3T require more than an inch of lift to become level. Were there any additional parts that weren’t shown in the video, such as strut spacers, to handle additional lift?

    Looks good. Were you replacement shocks longer than the factory shocks?

    • @PARTOUTaccessories
      @PARTOUTaccessories  2 роки тому

      The replacement shocks had about 2" of additional travel to them.

    @PART_OUT So...Question and something nobody seems to post videos on from what I've seen. Are the torsion keys -easy- to install? Like are they press fit? Or are they just slip on? I'm still looking to do the 35" tires on my H3 and did the stock torsion crank and yeah, rides like a damned 1980's jeep TJ right now lol. HELP!

    • @PARTOUTaccessories
      @PARTOUTaccessories  2 роки тому +1

      Generally they should slip on or require a few taps from a mallet

    • @derekbays6694
      @derekbays6694 2 роки тому +1

      Aftermarket keys , will not help the way it rides, you’re still turning the bars the same. Simple ph

    • @dw6505
      @dw6505 Рік тому

      It may ride bad because you turned them too much. All the hummer owners suggest no more than 23.5" from bottom of front fender to center of hub. I have an H3 too.

  • @graciasmacias6034

    Love the look of a leveled h3, I’m trying to level mine, do you think it was the aftermarket torsions keys that made the vehicle ride smoother or was it the extended Fox shocks?

    • @PARTOUTaccessories
      @PARTOUTaccessories  4 роки тому +1

      It was more the extended fox shocks more than anything, people go both ways on factory vs aftermarket keys, personally id say go aftermarket but that is really just up to you.

    • @graciasmacias6034
      @graciasmacias6034 4 роки тому

      Do the extended shocks take stress off the CV joints?

    • @BakersDIYLifestyle
      @BakersDIYLifestyle 3 роки тому +3

      There is absolutely no reason to change your keys. You can crank your stock keys to a point the front end is higher than the rear, and that is to far already. Shocks will help the ride, and aftermarket keys cranked past the stock limits will destroy cv joints.

    • @derekbays6694
      @derekbays6694 2 роки тому

      I know this is old but aftermarket keys shouldn’t help the ride of the torsion bars at all. Your still twisting the bars the same , mostly more.

    What shocks did you guys use to go with it? I just bought your leveling kit for my H3T Alpha

    • @PARTOUTaccessories

      Sorry Peyton, I didnt see your comment here. Those are FOX 2.0 shocks and you can try to contact BDS Suspension on their tech or sales line to see if they can find a part number that would work if FOX still makes that shock for the Hummer.

  • @luisvalenzuela3185
    @luisvalenzuela3185 3 роки тому

    Did you guys just swap the keys or did you guys also crank the torsion bars up? I recently installed those keys but didn’t notice much added height thanks..

    • @danielkinsler46
      @danielkinsler46 3 роки тому +5

      Because you still have to crank the keys after install. That is what the guy was doing lying underneath it. I dont see the point in this as you are still “cranking” the torsion bars. No matter is this new key is re indexing or not you are applying more torsion to lift the truck. Simple physics

    2:33 dude… You NEVER crank on the torsion bar keys with the truck on the ground, omg… you should always have the front tires off of the ground. Secondly, cranking the stock keys and putting new ones on puts the exact same strain on the torsion bars. You aren’t helping ride quality or torsion bar life. At the end of the day you’re still just twisting the bar and the only thing the new keys do is give you the ability to twist the bar MORE than stock keys. No matter how you do it, twisting the torsion bars will always make for a worse ride
