    Thanks for your wonderful videos. When we get our trailer and camping set up, we are going to re-watch all of your videos to get camp cooking ideas. In the meantime, can you tell me where you got your black dishes? I love them!

      Thanks for watching! I got those black plates from Korea. However, you can find very similar dish plates from Crate and Barrel! I hope you will get your trailer soon to enjoy camping!

      @@SirCampalotOutdoors Thank you. I was afraid that might be the case :) I don't like the ones at Crate and Barrel as well, but I'll keep looking.

    Hi do you recommend this or the double unit bbq box?

    • @SirCampalotOutdoors
      @SirCampalotOutdoors  Рік тому

      I would recommend just the Takibi fire pit and grill over the double BBQ box. It's really convenient to turn your fire pit into a grill. However, if you have a large party of 4 or more people with you, it's better to use the double BBQ box that way the people who are not cooking can enjoy the fire. Thanks for watching!

    What is Vietnamese styled grilled corn? Haven’t come across it, yet.

    • @SirCampalotOutdoors
      @SirCampalotOutdoors  5 місяців тому

      There are many different variation of Vietnamese grilled corn but at the very basic there is vegetable oil and green onions. You have to stir fry the green onions chopped up in a pan on medium heat for about 1-2 minutes. You can add a little bit of salt (I personally don't add salt) but not too much. Just a few pinches if you like it salty. Make sure you add a lot of green onions, about 1 stem per corn. Brush the oil and green onions on the corn as you are grilling it. Thanks for watching!

    How do you clean and prevent rust on your tabiki??

    • @SirCampalotOutdoors
      @SirCampalotOutdoors  5 місяців тому +1

      I never leave my Takibi out without covering it. I try my best to let it come in contact with water as much as possible. After 3 years of usage, there is no sign of rust on the outside but there is sign of heavy usage on the inside. Thanks for watching!

      @@SirCampalotOutdoors thank you so much! How do you clean it? Or do you completely avoid water on it?
      Love your content :’-) much love from Chicago!

    • @SirCampalotOutdoors
      @SirCampalotOutdoors  5 місяців тому

      @@ashjosmen I avoid water completely. It’s not perfect because we are all human and I sometimes forget to cover it. We have a lot of morning moisture here in the PNW and I even try to avoid that when possible. The grill plate for the Takibi Fire and Grill is a different story. It’s not stainless steel and will rust as you use it. I have not met anyone that can avoid this in the long run. The solution is to get the stainless steel half plate. It wont rust.

    Do you need to buy the charcoal grate to grill?

    • @SirCampalotOutdoors
      @SirCampalotOutdoors  Рік тому

      It's helpful to have it. But I usually grill without it. I recently got the charcoal grate but have not had a chance to use it yet.

      @@SirCampalotOutdoors love your channel, I'm slowly building my snowpeak and camping gear! Do you recommend any essentials I should get?

    • @SirCampalotOutdoors
      @SirCampalotOutdoors  Рік тому

      @@kevintrieu3626 I would start off by getting the fire pit (which it sounds like you have). Then build your camping comfort around the IGT system. I have all the IGT unit size and I think the 3 unit IGT is a good starter. The Grill Burner and Baja or Flat Burner is a must. Everything else you can add on later as Snow Peak's IGT system is modular. If you are a tent camper, the Alpha Breeze is good for a family of 4 or less. Pair it with a Hexa Tarp. Get the Land Lock if you have a party larger than 4. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching my vids!

      @SirCampalotOutdoors  Рік тому

      @@kevintrieu3626 regular IGT to start out. The IGT slim is nice but it limits you from some of the more common functions and add ons.
