- Mass Ukrainian withdrawal reported from the central and western districts of Bakhmut, and the withdrawal conducted along the country roads between Khromove and Ivanivske.
Ukrainian forces are also launching counter attacks all along the Khromove-Chasiv Yar road as well as around Ivanivske, in order to cover the retreat.

No way the Ukrainians get most of their troops out without heavy losses. The artillery shells must be just raining down all along that road, burning vehicles everywhere.
You would think with modern ranges of even direct fire weapons the Russians would be able to stop them from retreating. Really surprised the Ukrainians are able to retreat.

I hope any NATO 'advisors' demanding they defend Bakhmut to the last Ukrainian gets given a rifle and ride there.
It is no more a "last Ukrainian" its now the last Ukrainian Juvenile and Grandpa. Curse be on Zelensky who is sending kids and their grandpa's to the battlefield. War is not the game of Kids and Oldies.
The Orchestra stoped pushing to close the pincer since about 24hrs ago. Bennet is in Moscow for unannounced talks with Putin (same guy that were talking about how the west blew the peace deal last year), also some private jet flew in from Germany to Moscow and flew right back, something big is going on. Also there are reports of massive build up of Russian naval forces in Azov and Black seas.

If the AFU withdrawal has begun, it will take 24-48 hours crucial moments. All heavy weapons, supplies and ammunition will have to dump at Bahkmut. Life and fast trucks/vehicles will be the first choice. The 3,000-8,000 soldiers to retreat sure will received casualties.

Retreats, any retreat, involves a lot of casualties. Artillery will decimate those retreating as they're less than a kilometer away on both sides.
As on an other channel (Weeb Union) was analyzed very detailed in an over 1h long video, there are at least 10.000, up to 20.000 ukr. troops inside Bachmut. The 3k number now floating in pro ukr. channels is wishful thinking.

Who have almost all fled further into Ukraine. The only ones left are the ones too sick to move or too old to care about living. Better import some “civilians” to line up and beg for stolen Russian “aid”. Since all the stores are demolished and they can now get no Ukrainian pensions.

I think your arrow starts about where the retreat ends. They only need to get out of the pincer of the actual bakhmut city, presumably the new front line will be across the throat. Which should have forces in place already as reserves for the front. Time will tell of course, but they have had months to plan for this. Of course as always, there will be someone left as last man out, rear guard security screen, sacrifice, call it what you will.

It's insane how many soldiers did Ukraine feed to the russian army in Bakhmut for free, when they could've just retreat way earlier and save men's lives.

If Ukraine is counters attacking, while at same time retreating, they are going to suffer heavy casualties, because they are sending in more troops at same time removing more troops, remember Russia is hitting them with all manner of weapons. And from rybers report, some groups were wiped out last night as they were retreating.
Its the same way russians have retreated in the Kharkiv...
The counter attack is mostly for cover. They are not advancing so they are losing same rate as before.

But in this situation, Russia is attacking with anything you can think of, from infantry to artillery to air bombardment to different MLRs. It's hail.

Probably not as they are having to advance primarily at the pace of infantry as that's mostly what they have left after massive vehicle losses plus no one is going anywhere in ukraine fast anytime soon as there is 3ft of mud everywhere that isnt paved. In reality they do not have the capability to reach either city anytime soon so its irrelevant where they decide to push towards.

The withdrawal is timed to the weekend to dampen news impact so there are no news outlets providing major updates and instead on Monday will be one update regarding withdrawal.

Most likely a couple days unless they want to counterattack. Personally I didnt see him cite any reliable source in this video to even suggest that they are retreating from even just eastern bakhmut

This is somewhat a Lyman situation, counter-attack all flanks and pull back troops stuck in the buldge.
Except the numbers of troops involved, and here Wagner doesn't try to close the gap like ukrainian tried, bombarding the retreating force, saving infantry troops
Wagner does not need to close the gap by infantry. Every artillery gun in the region now fires on that small road, helicopters an air force work non stop on the road. This saves russian life's, while still taking out most of the retreating ukr. troops.

Ukraine uses comissar's who will shoot you if you run. ( to be fair in most armies if you desert you get shot )

There have been no Wagner/Russian forces advances north west & south west of Bakhmut for 4-5 days. There are advances in Bakhmut itself. Is this b/c Russia doesn't want to close the circle, but rather pick off retreating forces or has the advance faltered?
