Really bothers me that the vast majority of the Mario characters in Smash get the generic Super Mario Bros victory fanfare. Why not give all the Mario characters (Luigi, Peach, Daisy, etc) their own unique victory themes that represent the character and not the franchise they are from?

Since 2007, Mario games are released in between decades, which somehow makes them masterpieces. This game and Super Mario Galaxy 1 are Nintendo's Jewels, and they both bring amazing experiences. In 2027, we may get another one, just as good SMG1 and SMO.

I think that the Mario team at Nintendo EPD has divided in two with one team working on Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and the other working on what appears to be Odyssey 2. We have to wait for E3 2021 for more details.
@@DT_247 Galaxy 2 WAS a direct sequel and the sequel to 64 was scrapped but eventually reformed into Super Mario Galaxy. I would say Sunshine is the only 3D Mario game without a successor (Other than Odyssey ofc). Odyssey 2 is certainly not out of the realm of possibility, especially considering the fact that it’s mechanics are capable of so much more than what was shown Odyssey.

Almost 4 years and this is still one of my favorite games of all time, this game actually changed my life. I remember being sad and one day when this game was announced during the Switch presentation it's like that sadness just disappeared entirely. I waited for months and months and when the game finally came out I was the happiest person alive and enjoyed the game as much as I possibly could. Thank you Mario for being my childhood hero.
The transition from the end chase’s song to this is genuinely amazing, it’s great every time. Not nearly as dramatic and compelling as Super Mario Galaxy’s ending, but it was a good laugh when Mario jumped off Bowser’s face.
Though this is the credits theme, it feels like it’s kicking off a brand new grand adventure, and I don’t know why Edit: of course I know (and knew) why, well of course there’s so much post game stuff to do, but it’s also the theme of the cascade kingdom! The first area where you really gets feel for the game, and the true start of the adventure, it represents the beginning in both ways.

It was 5 years ago. On December 25, 2017, I walked to the living room and saw the Christmas tree. I opened the presents up. I got some cool stuff, such as some Dog Man books (2 and 3), Captain Underpants 11, and a whole bunch of other stuff. But my favorite present of all of them was my Nintendo Switch. My parents bought 2 games along with it: Sonic Forces and Super Mario Odyssey. Since I leaned more towards Sonic side, I played Forces first. I then proceeded to put Mario Odyssey in the Switch, and I was excited. I saw the trailer 1 year ago at the time. And i beat it on December 28, 2017. It may have been 3 days, but those were some of the best 3 days of my life. After that, I proceeded to try and 100% the game. Finally, in December 2019, I unlocked the Darker Side. And on October 27, 2021, I beat it. Cappy's speech at the end really made me think of every day of the past 4 years and what I've gone through as a whole. This game is easily one of my favorite games of all time, and nothing can top it. Thank you Super Mario Odyssey. You're one of the best games I've ever played.

4 years ago, my favorite game of all time was released to the public. I will never forget my first time playing this game on the sand kingdom, it was my little brothers save file.
Even though I can’t stand the post-game content, this is still at the very least top 3 Mario games for me, if not higher. My expectations were through the roof and it exceeded them. The core game is absolutely masterful and I cannot believe it’s been 7 YEARS since this work of art was first introduced to the world in the original Nintendo Switch presentation. My hype for it leading up to release was absolutely insane, and even more insane upon actually playing it after my dad picked it up from the midnight release. He even kept playing it after my brother and I went to bed😭 so many fond memories I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I fuckin love you Super Mario Odyssey.

I really really loved playing this game. I have not played it in a while though. I've forgot how much I've loved it. This game is so awesome.
Even though I can’t stand the post-game content, this is still at the very least top 3 Mario games for me, if not higher. My expectations were through the roof and it exceeded them. The core game is absolutely masterful and I cannot believe it’s been 7 YEARS since this work of art was first introduced to the world in the original Nintendo Switch presentation. My hype for it leading up to release was absolutely insane, and even more insane upon actually playing it after my dad picked it up from the midnight release. He even kept playing it after my brother and I went to bed😭 so many fond memories I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I fuckin love you Super Mario Odyssey.
Finally 100% completed this game! this has to be my favorite game ever along with Galaxy 1 & 2

Fromage Hollandaise Odyssey has it too, but you have to 100% for it to play. And the Galaxy games have them automatically as you beat the main game
