I hope everyone enjoys the doc, we had a lot of fun putting it together! Also, please send donations in the form of sanity because after spending 2 years with these fine gentlemen I can't seem to find mine...
Sooo many heavy bands get less brutal over time. Him saying that made me so happy. I want these boys 50 years old popping arthritis medication mid set so they can sweep riffs at 300bpm.
You know these guys have working-class roots because they made an album short enough to listen to on your lunch break XD This isn't a roast I fucking love this album
I mean COVID also probably quite heavily disrupted the writing of the album, alongside the amount of tour offers they kept receiving after Relentless Mutation released. But I still agree with the perfectionist statement haha
Since I discovered archspire, (besides blasting this album every day). I've come to realize that they are by far the best musicians I've ever heard. Mind blowing is a rather large understatement. The fucking danger is back.
Using that Drain of Incarnation clean as background music while everyone was talking sounds so awesome. Thanks for taking the time to put this out and doing stuff like the mom's react video this album cycle. Your fans genuinely love you all!!
That background music is so nice that honestly I wouldn’t mind if they made a full album of slowed down stuff as like a one-off thing. Of course while still remaining tech, but the clean stuff does sounds really cool.
So many Beneath the Massacre shirts, I hope whenever they do a documentary they all wear Archspire shirts in return, lol. No joke though, the album is awesome, and it's great to see all the work put into it and all the hardships you had to overcome to get it there. Looking forward to the next one, and hope to catch you guys in passing on tour in the future.
I love the fact that their vocalist is so involved in the writing process from the get go. Rarely you see this in bands. Particularly if they don’t play any instruments themselves.
Super interesting watching this! There was one part that stood out to me and was able to shine a light on something I've noticed about you guys. That part where you guys are talking about how Oli doesn't know how to play any instruments, but he knows how music is supposed to work. And how Dean and Tobi are like 'Fuck you, you don't play guitar!' but you're able to tell them straight up that it sounds good, or it doesn't. You guys are the first Technical Death Metal band I've been able to listen to ad-nauseum everywhere I go. In the car, in the house, cooking, working on my car, etc. And I think a huge part of that is, that you ALL know how to write actual songs. So many talented musicians want to show off just how crazy they can get, but it makes the music something that can only be listened to periodically or in specific scenarios. But you guys are the first TDM band in the 30+ years I've been listening to metal that I can honestly say I've listened to on repeat, and shit like Oli being able point out if something sounds good or not as a 'non-musician' plays a huge part in that. Keep it up guys, you're otherworldly.
I love how Tobi ist beginning to get more attentions. I mean: he's a beast, like all of the other members, and he deserves it! Great job with the doc! I loved to see the human side of Archspire, especially when Jared Said "i don't know if I can play it live" or sth like that! I felt some kind of relieve!😂
Honestly, if a band deserves to live only off of their passion, it's you guys. Amazing music, catchy, technical, varied, heavy... and I feel like you guys are only getting better, good luck!
This is one of the best making-of documentaries I've ever seen for an album. Also I didn't realize that they recorded this album with Otero; Allegaeon recorded their last few albums with him as well and it's utterly unsurprising that everything he's been putting out has been fucking incredible.
This album melted my face off. It's a relentless, pummeling Tech Death assault on your eardrums that doesn't let up for a second. I cannot state enough how much I love this band.
I heart ❤ Canada!!! I miss the bands NOMEANSNO and 3 INCHES OF BLOOD and S.T.R.E.E.T.S. I've always been treated like royalty in Canada. I can't wait to return. Love from Tacoma, WA
Wow, really cool documantary. It is so great to see whole band's approach to writing process. You can easily see how they are all down-to-earth and funny guys. I guess it is also so important to be able to get along well together when you are in a band doing all things together and it seems that works for them pretty well. Amazing album, amazing stuff. Hope i can see them on stage one day.
I love how Oli mentioned the hip-hop influence on this album. I would highly recommend checking out Adam Neely’s video on ‘Scotch Snaps in Hip-Hop’ cause they’re definitely present especially on “DCA”. Crazy to seeing a rhythmic device being used in contemporary rap and tech death. Music is wild.
Watching this was so awesome. I'm pregnant and have been enjoying this album so much during my pregnancy and finding out Oli wrote a creepy ass pregnancy song is hilarious and perfect. Also someone please explain why they thanked Jason Momoa in the credits 😂
From Wikipedia: "[Jason Momoa] is a fan of heavy metal music[47] and has noted that he "build[s] [his] characters off of metal songs".[48] He invited members of Archspire for cameo appearances in the first episode of the TV series See, and he also practiced proper screaming technique with the vocalist of Archspire, Oli Peters, for a significant scene in the series."
This was a great documentary - I personally love seeing the progression from jamming in a room to hearing the fully produced song and it's even better when you're a bunch of funny dudes too! Please do one of these again for the next album 😁
im not the biggest fan of tech death, but have been watching deans channel and have to say you guys sound sick and are CRAZY tight and BRUTAL! . gotta say you guys are undeniably awesome as a band aswell, and this albumdoc is on par with peripherys good job guys!
This IS INCREDIBLE to watch. I listened to this album at least 20 times. Watching this made me appreciate this album 100x more. Way to fucking go BOYS. 10/10, will watch this again. Can’t wait to see you guys live on MTL. BRING THE FUCKING DANGER!!!!

And me and our band at the time (Galaxy Crusher) talked to u after the show and u were surprised and flattered that we knew who u guys were and that we drove two and a half hours from Joshua tree,Ca to come see your show.
