I always come for the bites or stings. Not that I wanna see him get hurt or anything but just his reaction towards the pain and describing how it feels.
The name “Brave Wilderness” is a massive understatement, seriously, you are insanely brave. I could never muster up the courage to stick my hand into a box full of bulletants let alone getting stung by one. Bravo Coyote👏.
Edit:Something I just noticed as well is that Coyote nearly got bitten. When he puts his hand in at 3:51, his thumb touches an ant and it tries to bite him.

It's that coyote is showing the more natural side of nature's creatures and what they're like when provoked. Don't get me wrong, the stings are a good laugh and also a demonstration to the pain and possible effects on a live person, but it's always nice to give some exposure of nature when it's not being aggressive...even when that aggressiveness leads to laughs.
This man truly has no fear ! He is insanely brave !
@NastyFuhk that doesnt make sense. He literally put his hand in a box full of ants that have the most painful sting in the world. I dont think anybody in this comment section would do that.
Hurting yourself for curiosity and payment isn’t bravery.
This man's immune system must be elite
I really like this. It’s less sensationalism and it shows just how chill most insects can be. I never get stung cause insects just don’t bother me.
This man has the biggest amount of courage I’ve ever seen
I wasn’t planning nor hoping you get stung. I’m here for education even though I may never go to the tropics, it’s a free “trip” watching you. Thank you.
I can only imagine how terrifying this must be. the way coyote stayed calm through the whole thing was amazing.
True
Brave Wilderness: "So... how much money would it take for YOU to stick your hand in a box of bullet ants?"
Me: "NO money needed. I will stick my hand into a box of bullet ants if YOU will stick your hand into a box of FIRE ANTS." LOL!!!!
I've got some experience with Ponerinae ants. They typically aren't aggressive in the slightest. As long as you don't provoke them or present a threat, they're totally calm and are relatively safe to interact with. Just give them the absolute respect that an animal with a sting deserves, especially one with a sting like P. clavata.
These ants really seem to be self aware. When you put your hand in, one of the ants that almost got hit on the head reacted and looked up and then ducked to avoid your hand which most insects wouldn't do.
Looks like she got hit in the head and went "hey, wtf?" Which I'd imagine is a pretty universal reaction to almost being whacked in the head by a giant hand.
well if it has a brain it probably is self aware
I didn't expect a comment about ant self awareness but that's oddly exactly while I wanted to watch videos of ants. I read some stuff about ants, how they have long term memory and can recognize individual ants after being separated from them and how they can even recognize themselves in a mirror according to studies.
You mean at 3:51 the one on the right side of the tan, right?^^
One moment you're cleaning yourself, the next you dodge the tentacles of a giant...

Honestly, I'm glad you weren't stung by them. Especially after your thumb barely nudged the ant as you put your hand in the box at 3:52. It reminded me of a confused puppy. Ants are so cute.

I never noticed how much Coyote Peterson sounds like Charlie Day, and does things that Charlie's character would do on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Only Charlie would do these things for a beer; or on a dare. Or out of sheer boredom. Or under the misguided belief that he could use his sheer will to keep the ants from stinging him. Also, he wouldn't have an epipen.

Es ist gut zu wissen, dass sie nicht aggressiv sind!
Hallöle
I wonder, if there's a reason why he over-dramatizes his reactions, aside from entertainment purposes.
I still have huge respect for his braveness/coolness and the fact, that he's willing to deal with the consequences of every sting (inflammation, pain, itching etc.)
Good question, I've wondered the same. For such an educational series, it's a shame for that to discolor his credibility. Maybe for the views/monetization? Maybe it was something he did once and then felt he had to keep up & escalate to be believable? There's also the possibility of making it seem worse than it is so ppl won't copy that behavior or do their best to avoid these creatures, but I do think showing a realistic view of what happens would lead to the average person reacting more calmly and effectively if they do encounter these creatures.
@@scatterbunny35 That makes sense. I really appreciate your respond.
