I live in Dallas and remember playing in this tournament. That Magikarp and Wailord Tag Team was just legal from a promo box and the other tag teams weren't even released yet. I played Rotoms that day and saw the Magikarp Wailord deck in round 1. Good times Update: Well now I see that Eevee Snorlax and now I'm not sure anymore. Was that a promo too?
*There was an Australian Player who took 12 prize cards at 2007 worlds.* I think he played Rayquaza Star in R-Gon and beat an absolutions deck (Absol, Mew, Jolteon etc all have 90-100hp).
Ironically I did this almost every match leading into my top 8 at Dallas, but got no notoriety as I was never streamed in the 15 rounds bouncing between table 1 and 2. But hey what can you do :)
@@BurtsPTCG i feel good just getting 2-3 prices with a delphox bench snipe or rapid urshifu vmax - but this must've felt otherworldly pulling this of, in a game 3 being 0:5 prices behind. Tbh I follow azulgg for roughly 2 yrs now but this was total news to me! Good video, thanks for highlighting such an insane game
Just have to go on record here and say myself along with some Australian players came up with Zoro Garb. It was Corey Munro's suggestion of Klefki to make locking more consistent. I piloted it to a 42nd finish at Oceania IC in 2018. Mark Lutz got 45 with a similar concept but totally coincidence. Just to give you some more history on this deck. My favourite of all time
I like the video but I think a 14 minute video for a 30 second clip of a turn was too much. Maybe just make it 5 minutes and explain the big play instead of having a bunch of backstory that doesn’t change anything
You spend 14 minutes setting up the context of the situation, and then trip at the finish line by speeding through the moment with five frames. Why not just let the moment play out in all it's hype?
Tbh the turn was over 5 mins and I was struggling to edit it down in a way that would keep moving at a decent speed that wouldnt encourage people to click off once they realise he was gunna make it! Appreciate your feedback tho my friend and hope you enjoied the video still 🙏
