Thank you. Worked great. Only change for me was when I switched to "Bridged" and restarted, it would not boot. I switched back to shared and it booted up normally, and ssh worked as well.
Does this work in the other direction (ssh from the vm to the localhost)? can the VM then be used to SSH into other Linux machines like raspberry pies? thnx for the only helpful video I could find btw
Yeah you can ssh into any machine that is reachable on the network. This is also how you can set up machines in the cloud to ssh into. You may need to configure your firewall rules to allow it.
Hi I’m trying to ssh from mac to ubuntu just as you did but i keep getting operation timeout or if i user the user and localhost name of the machine it doesn’t recognize it and says its not in the dns any ideas?
