You were my favorite on project runway..... I've learned so much from you. Most designers wouldn't dare share this wealth of knowledge for free. Thank you, and may God continue to bless you in all your good endeavours!!
You practice the wisdom of a Good Soul. You know the old saying.....”if you wanna keep it , you gotta give it away?” Just a five minute video of yours gives me happiness in my day and raises the quality of my life because of the knowledge gained from it ....can you imagine how crazy blessed your life will be for giving THAT away!!!!!
You're seriously the best fashion expert and teacher i have ever seen online! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom with us amateurs! It truly means a lot and you're genuinely so sweet to teach us! THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!
Nick, I wanted to just say thank you for all of your videos! I have just started making my own clothing and bought a dress form. We appreciate your time and talents making these videos!
I'm not even a fashion person, I just found my way here because I have an obsession with silk fabric due to my autism. It's actually stress-reliever for me. I keep a piece of silk or satin cloth in my pocket so I can rub it whenever I feel stressed, or lost in thought. I don't know, the smooth texture of the fabric just helps me relax and concentrate. I can't tell you why, but that's been a truism my entire life. Now I have a bearing on the various kinds of silk that will help me feel better. :)
You have become my favourite from the mornent I saw yr first video. Juss love the way you talk .. n also the kind of information you share for people like me who knows nothing about fashion n materials. Pls keep making such wonderful videos.
Thanks for the rundown! Very insightful and a helpful resource for students as we switch to online classes as students whose major (theatre) usually requires lots of hands-on learning!
Great and Grazie Molto ! sewing is my new found hobby but although I am not into design yr videos r the best . U go straight to the point and even show the different fabrics wow ! Tks
I am a writer. I've wanted to understand the difference between silks for an age and I have never come across a more clear and concise explanation. Thank you so much. I do have a question, which been eating away at me since 2015: what material did they use for Cinderella's bridal veil in the live-action film? You seem like a fellow who'd know in an instant
I love how evident your passion for this is!!! You taught me SO much in less than 5 minutes, and it didn't look like you were doing anything but having the time of your life! :)
You are amazing Nick! Very knowledgeable and generous enough to share! You are fun and funny to watch! Keep posting I am here all the time cheers!! ...
~ I Will re-watch this episode, it's hard going around the fabric store and asking questions about how can I use certain fabric, the store clerks are always too busy to help. Thank You.🌺 Nick!! ~
I absolute love this video... You are Fabulous.... .. but please NOTE: Your background music is too loud making it hard to hear you... Honey, you don't need background music I just want to HEAR YOU Talk... that is all I need. Thank you Love, for such a great video.. "Chow"
Judi Christopher I do agree with you. Indeed it was fabulous to hear Nick share his enthusiasm for all things fashion, with or without the background music😂 Now to placate the perfectionist in me that quietly roars to mention this, at the end of the comment perhaps do you mean to spell out ciao (or chao) as in goodbye? Cheers to learning about all things fashion 👗👡👝
Just what I needed. Shopping online, it's hard to determine what the different fabrics are like. Plus, the few fabric stores we had in my area have been closed over the years. Lol, I also love saying "organza."
This was very informative.. thank you..😊 love your personality.. 😍 if i may please request you to do a video on fibers.. and a more detailed one differentiating these fabrics in different fibers and applications as you have been doing here..
Thank you!! I do not sew, but I am trying to learn about flowy fabrics so I know what to tell people when I'm trying to describe what type of wedding dress I am picturing in my head. Who knew there were so many silk blends! Could you do a video for best fabrics for a skirt that will have a lot of movement?
OMG thank you so much Nick for this. I have been struggling to find the difference between several fabrics like these and I am only starting to learn to sew. You can't imagine how helpful this is for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Nick, Thank you very much for all your sewing secrets. I really appreciate your channel. I was wondering if you have suggestions on where to buy your fabric from. it's often difficult to find expensive gown fabrics at common fabric stores.
Can you please give us some more info about the sole process of sewing silk? What needles and pins to use for havier silks vs lighter ones, what settings to use on sewing mashine etc.. What we need to be careful about, that sort of things. Thanks! Love you Nick!
I'm actually starting to make gowns and this channel is really helpful😍 And oh... You look familiar to me, then I saw the comments and remember that I saw you on project runway😮
Your teaching method is beyond festive! I need you in my bedroom- to go through my closet with me and tell me everything to get rid of and why. Then tell me what to shop for. Then go shopping with me. Then come back to my place so you can prepare me to model everything for my husband, one outfit at a time. 😂
Thank you! What a wonderfully quick and informative video! I have been trying to wrap my head around bridal fabrics, and this was so helpful! I know this bleeds into fabric weaves vs. fiber types, but can anyone explain what (silk) faille is? How is it different from (silk) crepe?
Just came across your channel I'm looking for uses for taffeta the stuff I have is pretty see through so not to sure wat to do with it I was gonna use it for bag lining but it wasn't suitable for that xxx
I am so glad that I found your channel. Now I can unsubscribe the channel that you haven't been on for a while, but I was afraid to miss you if I cut it off. Thanks so much!
Thank you for this! I wanted to use charmeuse silk for a project but I realized it may not be the best fabric to use for a pillow. I'm a lil more interested in the "orgaaaanza" just bc of you said it and explained how it feels.
Wow, I didn't know there were so many different types of silks. Thank you very useful video. will black net material and Italian crepe lining be good for draping in a long gown?
Hey Nick, love watching you when the kids are at school, was just wondering if the satin glows in the dark? The kids are going to a glow in the dark themed party and I would love to use satin if possible. Thanks!
Hi Nick, I'm making a friend of mine a wedding outfit, could you do a video on various wedding fabrics such as duchess satin and dupion? I know what duchess satin is like but I have never seen dupion and there's so many other fabrics to choose from, please help 🙏
Hi Nick you are the best , please what kind of duchess satine is best suited for slippery fitted gowns and ball gowns?, please it's important to me I expect your answer,if you can give me the the wieght and density of the fabric,it will be appreciated.
I used purple tafetta same fabric but purple colour at 3:24 for my cat cloak and i use light purple satin for lining cotton wool stuffing for the cat ears
You were my favorite on project runway..... I've learned so much from you. Most designers wouldn't dare share this wealth of knowledge for free. Thank you, and may God continue to bless you in all your good endeavours!!

When I get confused, I come back to you to make things clear just like this one to decide what I need to use for my next project. Thank you 🙏
