    10:25 looks like you are giving away one of the most valued secrets of music production even today and i can only say to the people who are not sure aobut that technique it is exactly done this way :) important part of good music was always a good amount of not knowing what you are doing and just see what happens love it

      @@KenFehling This script he uses is actually quite brilliant. Just hit record, let it go on for two minutes, pick what you like and put the parts one after another. done. forever.

    Those house beats always had something special. In that first pattern, with the typical bass and hi-hat in such an ultra-straight pattern, I knew something up up with the congos & shakers but never could put my finger on the trick. Thanks for showing us the power of selected precussion swinging outside the main drum patterns.
    Is that swinging the reason to use the 2 drum machines?

    • @kristofersknesis
      @kristofersknesis 6 років тому

      hmmmm that is a great point. you couldn't do this on a single drum machine, like tr-8, but if its straight beat is combined with a shuffled beat of another machine... magic happens. gotta try it out later tonight.

    • @Niersteentje
      @Niersteentje 6 років тому +1

      I think you could, provided one machines can generate all of the sounds. Shuffle is not applied to 1/8 notes, only to the 1/16 notes in between, hence the kick nor the open hihat would be affected in this particular beat.
