    People were clamoring for high level Third Strike at a high-profile event. Then they finally get it and remember that it was pretty much Chun Li vs Yun: The Game 😂 I mean, it was fun, but let's face it... people would be complaining to hell and back if Third Strike were to be released today.

      Yup. Again, doesn’t make 3S a bad game, but people have NO idea what balance was truly like back for most older games. Hahaha. Complaining a 6-4 match up is “unwinnable” is straight up laughable when you’ve played older Fighting Games. Hahaha!

    Uni2 results were a little interesting from a character perspective, but the players that hit top 8 were established strong players. Kyou (1st) has been considered a top competitor in the region for quite some time but doesn't go to many large events. It was nice to see him win. His Gordeau is very aggressive and fun to watch imo. The character hasn't been considered as upper echeleon for a few iterations, but always been considered a scrub killer.
    For anyone interested in tiers compared to results-> There really hasn't been much talk in the community in general, mainly due to everyone kinda knows where characters strengths and weaknesses stand alongside the ramifications of system changes and nerfs from UNICLR to UNI2. In general, most players will tell you the character viability overall in the game is very open. It's more about how much execution work you want to put in. Character that fell more into the mid-to high range in UNICLR kinda get a bump in UNI2 due to Seth and Byakuya nerfs.
    Looking at the Top 16 to Top 32 kinda gives you an idea at the variety. As an example, Mika and Enkidu aren't considered very strong, but you'll still see the character in online tourneys or prominent local scenes hit top placings.

    I had a lot of fun watching what I could from EVO Japan. KOF and Tekken finals were dope. Also really enjoyed the three man commentary rotation.

    Idk who flashyflash is, but he said EVO's Tekken tourney didn't feel like a real Tekken event because the Pakistani players couldn't make it. Yet most of Top 6 were EVO and TWT Finalists. Hell, watching Knee's match with LowHigh was kind of nuts. I've never seen him struggle that bad.
    If anything as a viewer it's hard to adapt to this Tekken as well. It's just intense, but in a way that's not as cool. Like basically both characters are hoping to guess right and punish for the balance of the match to switch. If you try any defense heavy tactics and you're wrong you're overwhelmed w/out much to interrupt the flow. It's going to take some time to really get into this style.

    EVO Japan stream gave me a big headache. I hope they fixed the schedule and downtime for next year because i missed out a lot of matches. But what i really like is finally more people see the true color of 3rd Strike lol. I love 3rd Strike and it's a pretty solid game. But people with rose tinted glasses who's acting as if the game is flawless and has better balance than SF 6 is just smoking some nasty glue. Meanwhile, SF 6 top 128 has representatives for all 21 characters except Jamie and the top 8 was pretty varied with only 1 mirror match (Vxbao JP vs Kakeru JP at the 3rd & 4th game), definitely much better than constant Yun mirror matches lol.

    Mena vs john Choi could definitely happen, but the fgc isn't ready for that type of event yet, let alone needs more money divided amongst the street fighter's. Wait till I hit the mega millions 😅😂
    Is ryukichi the same ryukichi in usf4? I want to say he was a FEI long player and then switched to evil ryu.
    James, make it happen. Team world vs team japan 😂
    Yang #4 over makoto? Really now? I know ppl going by tournament results, but I don't know bout that one.

    Cammy is top tier bruh, punk and James love to downplay on occasion. It's just rushdown all day, and she's one of the worst offenders

    • @UltraChenTV
      @UltraChenTV  5 місяців тому +2

      Top tier is ten characters. Just because Cammy isn’t in top 5 doesn’t mean she’s not top tier. Again, I’m going by results. And outside of Punk, her results are VERY muted. At major events, she consistently underperforms compared to where many people put her. She’s really strong, but her Drive Gauge usage is a big weakness for her. Same problem that Juri has.

    • @666slateran666
      @666slateran666 5 місяців тому

      @@UltraChenTV maybe it's just a skill issue on my part because Cammy is a trouble character for me. I feel locked down constantly dealing with her rushdown. Again half the time I'm playing gief so unless I get a spd in I'm having a bad time lol

    • @UltraChenTV
      @UltraChenTV  5 місяців тому

      Cammy is really hard to fight for sure. I die badly to her a lot as well. But it really comes down to excellent Dive Kick usage. And it’s weird, when you use her, you feel like her Dive Kick is garbage but it’s more that you’re using it badly. But it’s way more nuanced than you think. But outside of that, when you REALLY think about her, how is she opening you up? It’s a weird thought because she has no Overhead. Dive Kick is really hard to make + on Block, etc. It’s just foot speed and the standard SFV RPG game for her. She has Hooligan mixups, but one wrong guess and she can die VERY badly. And it’ll always be just a guess for her. For those who have reactions, it’s really hard to make Hooligan ever actually do anything.
      That’s not saying she isn’t good. She’s SUPER good. Again, I have her at #7 or #8 just by default because the others are just sooooo good. But if I expounded on it, she’s not much worse than Ken, who I have around #2-#4 currently.
      I know you don’t wanna hear it, but it’s why I do think the game is really balanced. Again, yes, the weaker characters need help. But at the top, any one of ten characters can win an event, and that’s half the cast.

      dude aside PUNK and maybeee Knuckledu.....WHO HAVE DONE ANYTHING WITH CAMMY? And yes she is top tier, she and Juri but not S+ like JP, Ken, Luke and DJ and now Blanka, aside good normals, like James say Cammy reply in Drive meter to carry characters to corners, which let her burn out more like a Luke or a Ken do, and yet she got nerfs for no goddamn reason by the Capcom devs anyway so congratz now we will go from 1 Cammy player in Capcom Cup to.......ZERO, sounds a lot like we will see the same crowd of characters in Top 8 in CPT will remain and maybe a Ryu get added to the mix and if he is good Akuma, other than that....DJ, Blanka, Ken, Luke and JP will still be the most over use characters so good job I guess Capcom, keep nerfing characters NO ONE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT.

    14:35 lol od amnesia stopping throws are just one of those silly fgc crybullies who makes silly defense for the broken throw loops that exist in the game. if you don't know how throw loops are broke, go youtube 'sfv throw loops' there is a video detailing how broken it is, and yes its translated to sf6 here as well, we all don't know why capcom brought it back but they did. plus amnesia isn't even a true dp, there is no guaranteed knockdown unless the opponent gets hit by it.
