Very Big for a Dolby Theater. I remember the original capacity when it had regular stadium seating was 513, now it's 225. Anything above 200 recliner seats is huge since is usually takes up 2-2.5 times more space then the regular seats.
Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime was a way better title than the current Dolby Cinema at AMC. Everything was black on the outside. But in the inside, it's all red in the inside of this theater room.
There's a dolby cinema at amc near me, so I hope the theater has red lights because they look pretty cool and match AMC's color and I hope they still keep the dolby cinema at amc pre show.
If you're already in NY just take the extra few minutes and go to the Lincoln square AMC. It makes this screen look like a tv and you don't have to deal with the grossness of times square.

2 years later lool! Anyway, it depends by the movie you're watching. You can simply see if the movie fits the screen by viewing on wikipedia the aspect ratio: if it is 21:9 or 2.35:1/2.39:1 it'll fit the screen. If not you'll just have the side bars as you can see in the video
What’s so special about the seats is there are transducers in those seats. What the really is is a speaker that hears a low frequency thinking of like a big explosion or a crash. And the seats rumble to the movie your actually watching
Ya boi Stxph Uh.. search it up yourself. I went to see it in IMAX & the imax screen is not “big” like they claim to is, which makes it a lie. It’s not loud as Dolby Cinema. As for Dolby, I can feel everything, it’s loud and the quality is fucking amazing 😍 I have AMC A List & my bf’s friend works there, he admitted it himself that they just lied to us about the IMAX. IMAX might look great on OTHER theatres, just not AMC. Specifically..
@1:05 I noticed those white lights on the the top of the Ceiling as well. But in a normal theater, sometimes there’s 1 towards the front of the screen.one time there wasn’t. Why are those there if they are never turned on.
Love Dolby Atmos. Love the lights on the speakers. But the seats suck big time. Wish the reclined normal. They are very uncomfortable and the leg part dont come up enough and it puts a lot of pressure on your lower spine. Stupid. Should hv put in the best leather recliners they could. Also love the bass shakers in the seats.
That screen is tiny compared to the IMAX in Lincoln Square just a mile or so away, which I believe is one of the largest if not the larges screen in the western hemisphere. I'd choose that any day over this or the other Dolby theater in NYC which has a normal sized screen with just a better image and more speakers.

ItzUberz E11 and F11 are the sweetest sweet spots in my Dolby Cinema.

The projection is not as sharp as say laser IMAX but the colors really shine
They can't recline all the way because of the speakers in the seat that make it rumble

I believe it's a little smaller then the amc imax screens. A real imax screen is anywhere from 50-90ft tall they call them 70mm screens

This theater is listed as Atmos but is it also HDR?
Dolby cinema has Atmos and Dolby vision(HDR).

Depends on the operator. IMAX is not about the seats :) Some have, some not.
this isn't IMAX its Dobly Cinema WAAAAAY better look it up. It won't disappoint
