- The Fairmeadow Tract is one of three Jospeh Eichler tracts set in Orange County California. Joseph Eichler was a prolific post-war home builder that developed over 11,000 modernist homes throughout California and worked with noted Architects such as A. Quincy Jones, Edward Emmons, Robert Anshen of Anshen & Allen , Claude Oakland and Raphael Soriano. Homeowners Brian and Missi from Birds of Ohio ( www.birdsofoh.com ) and The Imaginary House ( www.theimaginaryhouse.com ) found themselves moving from Ohio and landing in their Eichler which they have lovingly restored throughout their ownership. From the Walls of glass to the indoor-outdoor living alongside the perfect Southern California weather this has been the perfect place they've called home.

I'm sorry 👀 Can we talk about the AMAZING landscape design 🧐 PERFECTION 💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Simple, livable and unpretentious house. Great owners and good doggie too. 👍
Hashtag life goals... but does the coloring editing, cinematography and music give anyone else total horror movie vibes?
no disrespect to the film, i loved it, but i think it's the music. i kept feeling like at any moment they would describe a murder that took place.
@@blazemancillas1477 seriously! Like I love that couple and I totally want to live there, but I'm also so nervous a murderer is going to jump out at any moment. Who ever edited this should definitely work in horror films.
@@matthewlinaman the music is gorgeous and terrifies me. beautiful home. they have EXCELLENT taste.
The music drove me almost as crazy as how often that woman said “like”.
POV: Put down the sound and see the video listen "Lujon" by Henry Mancini.
I watch it like over and over and over again! So soothing,
Love this! We're trying to (impossibly) to simulate a mid century design in an 80's ranch tract home. Spent a ton of money ripping down walls to fall short of the aesthetic. This Eichler would be my dream home...
I love the cinematography and editing!
Brilliant yet again. The cinematography is so good. I love the thorough detail shots. It's like what a good architecture magazine should do.
I too am an aging hipster, but neither my job nor my home is quite as cool. 😃
Excellent video, beautiful house. If I had to sell, and purchase another home, an Eichler home would be my first choice. And YES. There is nothing like living in California. I would never move from here.
Just hope you don't live in or near a city run by people who won't do anything about crime and homelessness.
Otherwise, these twin problems will destroy your home, too.
Amazing work guys. Beautiful.
Powerful and elegant transformation. Thank you.
Amazing house, so simple, so peacefull. Smart!!!!
Eichlers are the Ikea of modern architecture.
I want a mid century modern house sooooooo bad lol🔥🔥🔥
I love it so much! wonderful
These short videos are well-done and informative.
Love their color palette
I realize this video is a couple years old, but recently found this channel. I really enjoy architecture & these mini tours. I have to say, I’m not into pillows, but that gray and orange pillow on his right is so cool lol.
How laid back is this couple??? Must be the house's influence
You are very lucky people to have such a beautiful and special home
wow.
Wonderful !
Awesome home
Great, enjoy Cali. won’t be missed in “interesting” OH.
Eichler's designs are lighter than Frank Lyold Wright which contains lots of wood. I much prefer, but I guess Eichler's is more modern 1960s, whilst Wright in 20s up til 50s
Wright is WAY over-rated. Fallingwater is virtually a brutalist design, lol.
In most original Eichlers there was a lot of use of mahogany in the walls. They were much warmer than the modern houses u see today. The ceilings were wood and many walls were wood and slatboard.
This couple fit perfectly with the house! His beard and voice give it away. Epic
The guy in the video...the husband...he was awake when you were interviewing him right?
These two are both incredibly boring
What year was this filmed
Did the home have any bathrooms & a garage? In the video you only see the outdoor patio & the living room, plus glimpses of the kitchen, bedroom & a sewing room.
Is this a Cymbalta commercial?
This music is .. spooky? Appreciate the vid though
What music was played on this episode?
These homes are absolutely stunning. Grew up near an enclave of them and always wanted one. Only problem is, you live in suburban orange county, a depressive hellscape with an underlying Republican/white supremacist problem. With younger people moving in, however, the neighborhoods are getting more progressive and friendly.
And so now it’s all drab beige walls. Uuuuuugh
Totally HGTV
Blimey, where's the fun? someone play a Mel Brooks joke on UA-cam for them, Please ! Yes, you can have any colour you like so long as its DULL GREEN.
Nice house but weird people and music
They'd better not be painted beams!!! 😭🤮😭
I don't really understand these people who want to live in a completely retro reality. This is not modern living.
Retro reality. Same reason why toys were made of metal and coffee came in glass jars. Everything was just better.
House design looks pre-fab and boring.
