9:24 CCIP in the Hornet is bugged at the moment. Bombs will fall short of the pipper as we saw in your last drop. There is a workaround. On the HSI, set the position keeping source to GPS, this is counter to all logic, but it's the way DCS is coded right now.
Many thanks... I have been flying the FA-18C module for quite some time and thought I knew pretty much all I needed to know about unguided bombs. Boy was I wrong. I totally forgot about the programing features (1-5). It pays to watch new stuff - even when you think that you don't need it!
I didn't know about ball and chain. Have to try that. CCIP drops always have to be dive bombing or low level. I wish the hornet had the same CCIP mechanism where if you can't see the CCIP pip, the marker line does the same ball and chain thing automatically when you press and hold pickle.
The arrow indicates that the target symbol is outside of the HUD field of view and the number indicates the degrees in that direction that you need to manuever to see it again.
I do exactly this with mk82 regarding the CCIP mode, yet when i press the trigger on my joystick, the bombs wont fall, master arm and everything is on ofc, help?
In the Hornet, the trigger is used for Air to Air weapons and the gun. There is a separate button used for Air to Ground weapons (usually on the top of the control stick). I think this is labeled as Weapon Release button in the config. Use that and make things go boom!
You make the best tutorials mr Manley 😊
Thank you for making this informative tutorial video showing how to effectively employ unguided bombs in the DCS F/A-18C module Deephack.

Top tip as always sir. Thanks!
That doesn't work either

In Auto mode with a target designated, what is the number that appears when approaching the target with an arrow pointing down?
The arrow indicates that the target symbol is outside of the HUD field of view and the number indicates the degrees in that direction that you need to manuever to see it again.
Great tutorial, but I can't hit targets using the Mk83 and I don't why yet. The other bombs are working fine.

@@StrIIker-TV Ooh I see, I checked it out and everything works, thanks so much man!
Autopilot's coupled mode should make this much easier.
